A Cooperation System Supporting Web-based Asynchronous/Synchronous Social Activities (웹 기반 비동기/동기 사회활동을 지원하는 협력 시스템)

  • In this paper, we classify web-based social network into two types: open and community, and model user behavior in social activities. After that, we also propose the combination of instant messaging and web system as the method of support asynchronous/synchronous social activities. Furthermore, we introduce ImCoWeb prototype system that supports both asynchronous social activities (ex. social bookmark, comment, rate, and data share) and synchronous ones (ex. real-time communication, file transfer, co-browsing, and co-work). Because it is built on the existing instant messaging, it reduces costs by reusing the facilities such as session management, user management, and security of instant messaging.

  • We establish an efficient strategy for construction and operation of data consolidation center for multi-organization in public sector. First, we introduce important concepts on data consolidation center in public sector, and draw some success factors by analyzing several foreign and domestic cases. Second, we construct all the possible logical operational models of the center and investigate the properties and feasibility of the models. Third, we suggest a virtual operational environment for the two representative models selected by feasibility criteria among the possible logical models, and compare the two models in terms of operational cost. We also utilize AHP methodology to evaluate qualitative opinions on the two models from several experts in public information systems. As a result, we find the best alternative is the case in which all infrastructure and facilities for the center are provided by government, and common essential IT operations are integrated, associated data are consolidated and the whole operational work are outsourced to specialized IT operations service providers.

  • This paper describes a IPv6 trial service provided by LG DACOM and discusses about the output of trial service. MIC has urged public organizations to introduce IPv6 technology into their network. As one of propelling policies, MIC and NIA launched some IPv6 trial project. LG DACOM, MIC's agent in doing IPv6 trial project, has selected three public organizations in order to deploy IPv6 based VoIP trial service. KMA, KISITI and MND gave out their different service requirements. In achieve this project we developed IPv6 supported voice IP phone, video IP phone, media gateway and IP-PBX. Furthermore, two KMA provincial offices adopted trial IP phone as working phone and replaced legacy PBX with IP-PBX. At the same time, public organizations introduced IPv6 technology into their local networks.

  • Nowaday, many people study about Black-Out. In this paper, I introduce how to calculate the Dangerous Index against Black-Out, and prediction of Distance relay error action on Zone 3. we consider the real data by I-PIU which will be set on the system. The dangerous Index is calculated three index about Cascading. The prediction of Distance relay is considered by other facilities of power system. This two algorithm can be used on the center system, when the system is on danger, also on the normal states for security.

  • Satisfying the customer orders with a short lead-time is one of the essential and competitive factors for business units under a mass customization environment. To shorten the lead-time for fulfilling various orders entails the production capacity expansion and efficient operational policy. Most business firms utilize the multiple production lines or facilities to cope with this business and manufacturing environment by making the manufacturing and distribution more flexible. In this study, we introduce the operational problem determining the joint production and delivery policy in an environment where multiple products are manufactured with more than one production lines. Also, we propose the heuristic solution approach for determining the product-line selection and joint lot size for this problem.

  • Korea is quickly transforming into an aging society. As a reaction to the accelerated aging society in recent years, there is a growing need to introduce sustainable housing policies and strategies for aging society. The main purpose of this study is to explore where people want to live after retirement. Especially, this study focuses on the residential environment such as housing types, residential location, and living environment. The main findings are as follows. First, people preferred living in a sububan-style housing in the suburban or rural areas to living in a city-style housing in the urban areas. Second, people have a strong preference for the importance of convenience in using natural environment, medical service, and cultural facilities. Third, the family life style has been changed from children-oriented life style to couple-oriented life style by showing that people like to stay with a spouse rather than with their children after retirement.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept, architecture, and service areas of FS-VDSL specification. We mainly focused on FS-VDSL CPE architecture, which consists of two different types, concentrated architecture and distributed one. We also provide the possibility of CPE adaptation in domestic in-home environment. As a result of our study, distributed CPE architecture is a better candidate to our in-home environment. Another important point of consideration in FS-VDSL adaptation in Korea is the protocol stack of FS-VDSL. Recently, Ethernet-based VDSL technology is more populated than ATM-based VDSL, which is originally adopted in FS-VDSL specification. So, we must deeply think about the modification of protocol stack of FS-VDSL when deploying it in Korea.

  • WiBro(Mobile WiMAX) has gained momentum as a top candidate to deliver the dream of full mobile wireless internet. To save cost and time in WiBro network design, simulation tool has to deploy powerful and useful analysis functions. If path loss model is more accurate, the reliability of analysis result of simulation tool will be much improved. So we emphasize on the importance of pathloss model in WiBro network design in this paper. For this, we introduce to three kinds of pathloss models(SUI, SCM, SCM-E) supposed properly models in WiBro RF (Radio Frequency) environment. Also we treat from basic theory to practical substance on the pathloss model to adopt WiBro network design/optimization. Finally, we describe about wireless network analysis tool named 'CellPLAN(R)' and techniques possible to improvethe accuracy of pathloss model.

  • In order to newly define and specify the performance and the testing method of the high-voltage circuit breaker, IEC 62271-100 was published in May, 2001 and took place of IEC 60056 which had been used since 1987. This new standard intensifies the requirement and the test method of the circuit breaker and also domestic manufacturer makes progress the new product development. And, KERI also goes on the build-up project of short-circuit testing facilities for fulfilling the testing method requirements in new IEC 62271-100. This paper introduce the limiting method of short-circuit making current by controlling the time constant of dc component.
