본 연구의 목적은 영어 쓰기 학습 향상을 위한 도구로서 인터넷 활용과 소프트웨어의 영어 수업에 도입함으로써 얼마나 효과적이고 효율적인 교육이 될 수 있는지 연구하고자 한다. 첫째로 영어 쓰기에 관한 기존 연구들의 비교 분석과 연구 배경을 기술하고 둘째, 인터넷 도구들을 이용하여 영어 쓰기 과제 학습에 얼마나 효율적인지 기술하고자 한다. 이것은 인터넷 게시판에 주어진 어휘나 동사들을 가지고 문장을 완성해가는 과제를 예로 들 수 있다. 셋째, 이 연구는 인터넷 도구와 소프트웨어를 이용할 경우 오프라인 수업과 비교하여 학습자의 수업 태도와 적극성에 어떠한 변화가 있는지 비교 분석하고자 한다. 오프라인 수업에서와는 달리 웹사이트, IRC (Internet Relay Chat), 다양한 인터넷 도구와 여러 영어 말하기 및 듣기 실력향상을 위한 다양한 소프트웨어 활용이 학습자의 쓰기 실력 향상과 태도에 있어서 매우 중요한 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다.

A key factor far realizing the internet-based virtual manufacturing system(VMS) and virtual enter-prise(VE) is how to precisely and effectively represent the machine elements and mechanics. In this paper, we present methods to represent the numerically controlled machine tools in the internet environment. The method is composed of: 1) geometrical modeling of the machine tools, 2) kinematic modeling for the movements of the machine tools, and 3) representing the developed model in the internet infrastructure. Based on the models. a web-based virtual machine tools (WVMT) is developed, and it can be accessed at hrrp://wvmt.postech.ac.kr. The WVMT can be used for various purposes: 1) web-based virtual manufacturing system, 2) web-based CAM system, and 3) CNC educational tools for the vocational school through internet.

The Purpose of this research was to investigate the financial service tools for financial planning on the internet. First of all, what kinds of financial service tools were available was looked into and secondly, the sufficiency and the validity of the tools were examined. The deep search of 20 financial service related web-sites was confirmed on June of 2002. The results revealed that there were a variety of calculator for banking and investing and other planning tools. The financial service tools for financial planning looked somewhat abundant, however, the validity of the tools was not high sufficient.

Reconfigurability of machine tools is one of the critical factors to realize the responsive manufacturing systems to satisfy the mass-customization production. This paper presents the methods to model and simulate the machine tools on Internet in response to change in the machining requirements. Specifically, a set of module combination rules and a modeling method of the structure of machine tools using connectivity graph are developed. In response to the user requirements, kinematic relations and structures of machine tools can be derived using the module combination rules and connectivity graph relationships. Internet-based simulator of machine tools is implemented and presented. The developed machine tool simulator can be used to verify the structure of machine tools derived from the user requirements.

$21^{st}$ century has seen a tremendous advancement in the field of Information and Communication Technology. The commercial utilization of Internet tools and technologies has brought change in the traditional working environment. The functioning in an electronic environment is far more complicated than working in traditional environment and this brings many challenges, threats and potential problems. In this paper we analyze the challenges, threats and potential problems in the working environment of Pokhara University due to application of Internet tools and technology. We have chosen four basic areas on the basis of use that include web resources, electronic mails, social sites and P2P technologies. The main focus is to analyze the impact on work place productivity, social interaction, use and abuse of technology and legal issues associated with them. We, finally summarize the findings and offer solutions and recommendations from the observed data based on direct survey conducted in Pokhara University, Nepal.

This paper presents the methods to model the reconfigurable machine tools (RMTs) on Internet in response to change in the machining requirements. Specifically, the structure and motion model of machine tools using module combination rules and connectivity graph are developed. And we developed Internet-based simulator for designing of RMTs (ISD-RMT). In response to the user requirements, various structures of RMTs can be derived using the module combination rules and connectivity graph relationships. In addition, the user can verify generating structures through the control and simulation procedures.

인터넷은 전세계에 걸쳐 광범위한 정보통신망으로 성장하였으며 웹브라우저의 등장으로 멀티미디어 서비스가 가능하게 됨에 따라 우리생활의 모든분야에 이용되고 있다. 본 연구는 국내인터넷서비스의 현황을 살펴보고 인터넷상의 정보에 효과적으로 접근할 수 있는 각종 검색도구들의 기능에 대하여 조사하였다. 조사한 결과 검색도구들의 기능과 특성이 다양하므로 이용자가 찾고자하는 정보의 성격에 따라 적절한 검색도구를 선택하여 사용하여야 하며 이러한 검색도구들에 대한 보완 및 개발이 지속적으로 이루여져야 할 것이다.

International exchange implementing the Internet began inevitably due to the pandemic, but it provided Digital Nomads with new experiences in their lives using the Internet. This study the possibility and challenge of international exchange implementing the Internet identified. To this end, we explored its strengths and weaknesses through interviews and descriptions of students who participated in international exchange. As a result, we identified that students were positive in the diverse aspects of communication tools and ways, whereas they were negative because they felt difficulties in the physical environment, inaccessible physical conditions especially. They were also negative in the emotional exchange, an ice-breaking which needed much more time than offline exchange. Therefore, we identified in the case of designing or conducting student activities implementing the Internet, including international exchange, the possibility of activities implementing the Internet could be much more extended if their developer various programs considered in the introduction step.

인터넷 응용기술의 도입이후 호텔고객들은 호텔의 정보탐색과 구매행동에 인터넷을 이용한 의사소통의 도구들을 이용하고자 하는 의도가 날로 늘어나고 있다. 인터넷 의사소통 도구가 전형적인 마케팅 환경에서 열세를 면하지 못하고 있는 호텔들에게 전략적 도구로 이용될 수 있을 것이라고 널리 받아드려지고 있다. 본 연구는 마케팅 도구로써 인터넷 의사소통 도구들을 이용하는데 있어 각 유형별 호텔들 간에 유의한 차이가 있는지, 그리고 개선 방향은 무엇인지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과 각 유형별 호텔들 간에 인터넷 의사소통 도구들의 사용에 유의한 차이가 있으며 또한 지방 소재의 호텔들이 인터넷을 이용한 의사소통의 도구를 이용하여 전형적 마케팅 환경에서 기인되는 열세를 극복할 수 있는 가능성이 있음을 발견 하였다.

인터넷 비디오 코딩(Internet Video Coding: IVC)은 MPEG에서 개발 중인 로열티 무료 비디오 코덱이다. IVC 코덱의 부호화 효율은 지속적으로 향상되어왔으며, CD(Committee Draft) 버전의 IVC는 객관적 화질 및 주관적 화질이 H.264/AVC HP(High Profile)와 견줄 만한 수준의 성능을 낸다고 보고 되었다. 본 논문에서는 IVC 코덱 구조의 개요 및 주요 부호화 알고리즘과 함께 MPEG에서의 IVC 개발 과정 중에 부호화 효율을 향상시키기 위하여 제안된 부호화 툴을 제시한다. 부호화 툴은 비 참조 P 프레임 부호화, DC 모드 화면내 예측, 라그랑지안 승수(Lagrange Multiplier) 선택기법, 색차신호의 화면내 예측모드 확장 기법 등 표준 및 비표준 부호화 기법을 포함한다. 각 부호화 툴에 대한 알고리즘과 부호화 효율 이득을 실험을 통하여 제시하였다. 실험결과 각 부호화 툴은 저지연 부호화 모드에서 각각 8.8%, 0.4%, 0.4%, 0.0%의 비트율 절감의 부호화 이득을 얻었다.
