The VoIP(Voice over IP) has been worldwide used and already put to practical use in many fields. However, it is needed to ensure secret of VoIP call in a special situation. It is relatively difficult to eaves-drop the commonly used PSTN in that it is connected with 1:1 circuit. However, it is difficult to ensure the secret of call on Internet because many users can connect to the Internet at the same time. Therefore, this paper suggests a new model of Internet telephone for eavesdrop prevention enabling VoIP(using SIP protocol) to use the VPN protocol and establish the probability of practical use comparing it with Internet telephone.

Critical to more widespread use of Internet telephony are the smooth interoperability with the existing telephone network and the improved quality of voice connections. Of these requirements, this interoperability comes through the use of Internet Telephony Gateway's which perform protocol translation between an IP network and the Public Switched Telephone Network. In this paper, we have focused on the necessity and possibility of interoperability, and furthermore derives the necessary requirements for interoperability between IP networks and PSTN. For this purpose, we have analyzed the signaling protocols for gateway system. Then, we have modelled the inter-working part using the Petri-Net model. Through reachability trees of the Petri-Net model, we have confirmed that interoperability is possible, and that characteristics of deadlock, liveness, and boundness are satisfied.

There are many kinds of predominant modes to transfer Multimedia information on internet in the world. Various methods are applied to get real time multimedia data as possible as we need. At the moment it is very difficult to use acceptable technologies for performe those methods effectively on the Networks. This paper gives the alternative directions and trends for research and development of multimedia transmission on the internet. ATM is one of the best mode to transfer mass-multimedia data at the high speed on the Broad-Band ISDN until now. And xDSL (xDigital Subscriber Line) is an excellent typical method on the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) using old type telephone line. But they are not yet applied into the phase of practical use together this time. So this paper analyzes what we need and how to develop the multimedia transmission modes which we can send on the internet without a problem or any difficulty for our various multimedia information all the time under low cost and high speed.

Currently, the communication between land and sea using Inmarsat terminal can communicate telephone, telex, fax, e-mail, data transmission. The exist e-mail program between land and sea has developed to reduce communication fee because of high satellite communication coast and low speed. In case of fax service has defect of paper, out-time, high cost. In this paper, we describes the design of fax service system based on Internet for land and sea. This fax system has been integrate e-mail system function and existing fax system function. For this purpose, the hardware module has connect e-mail system and PSTN.

Although it is relatively difficult to eavesdrop the commonly used PSTN in that it is connected with direct circuit, it is difficult to ensure the secret of call on Internet because many users can connect to the Internet at the same time. However, it is needed to ensure secret of voice call in a special situation. Due to the fact that many users can connect to the internet at the same time, VoIP can always be in a defenseless state by hackers. Therefore, in this paper, we have developed the increased voice security internet telephone terminal and measured conversation quality by adopting VPN PPTP based on SIP and using tunnel method in transmitting voice data to prevent eavesdrop of internet telephone.

Internet telephony is an Internet service which supports voice telephone using VoIP technology on the IP-based Internet. It has some advantages in that voice telephone services can be accompanied with multimedia services such as video communication and messaging services. In this paper we suggested an Asterisk-based Internet telephony system which can be easily scalable. Most current systems use text files to manage their configuration: SIP users, dialplans, IVR service and etc. But we designed the management system which introduces database tables for efficiency and scalability. It also supports web-based functions developed by using Asterisk, Apache, MySQL, jQuery, PHP and open source softwares.

Speech DB is basically required factor when we are study for phonetics, speech recognition and speech synthesis and so on. The quantity and quality of speech DB decide the efficiency of system that we develop. therefore. speech DB has an extremely important factor, Recently, development of the various telephone service technique such as voice portal. it is actual condition where the necessity of collection of telephone speech DB. The existing IVR application telephone speech DB collection system used C/C++ language or the exclusive development tool. Thus it is the actual condition where the recycle of each application service for resources is difficult and have a problem of many labors and time necessity. But. VoiceXML is a language having tag form ipredicated in XML. which has easy and simple grammar system. Therefore, if we make a few efforts we could draw up easily. it has a merit reducing labors and time, Also, VoiceXML has many advantages of various telephone speech DB gathering because of changing contents of DB. In this paper, we introduce telephone speech DB gathering system which is the mast important factor for development of speech information processing technique.

This study suggests the applicability of web surveys regarding elections in order to contact a great number of young people. The propensity weighting model was estimated using the demographic variables and the covariate variables collected during the 2007 presidential election surveys. In order to adjust the internet survey to the telephone survey, we used the propensity score method. Propensity score weighting made the internet survey results closer to the telephone survey results. This shows that an internet survey with propensity weighting model is a potential alternative survey method in the prediction of elections.
