Recently, with the advent of satellite communication technologies, the network access service through satellites has emerged as an alternative to existing ones. Of satellite access services including multimedia services, the high speed internet access service will be one of the important services. Particularly, the efficient transportation of real time internet traffic seems very essential. The aim of this research is to examine the applicability of the IETF RTP protocol in the satellite access network. The RTP has been developed for the QoS-met transportation protocol of real time traffic over the existing best-effort internet. This paper summarizes the RTP protocol, and describes the architecture of the implementation of the RTP. And also, the compressed RTP header protocol is discussed for the applicability to the satellite link.

A wireless Internet proxy server cluster has to Distillation and Caching functions in order that a user on wireless internet can use existing wired internet service. Distillation function works to distill HTML documents and included images according to the defined preference by a user. When a user requests repeatedly, Caching function decreases response time by reusing original and distilled images or HTML documents. In this paper, we proposed enhanced distillation and caching functions. We performed experiments using 16 PCs and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed system compared to the existing system.

In this paper, we proposed the technique to estimate the life cycle of Internet content services based on the logistic regression model. In this paper, to define parameters of Internet contents estimating life cycle by logistic regression model, we used market size, traffic amount, page view and session-visit number as the parameters of Internet contents estimating life cycle by logistic regression model. In this paper, to compare the performance of our proposed scheme, we estimated life cycle for the download services of bell sound & character contents in mobile network. As a result, using our proposed logistic regression, we were able to estimate exactly the life cycle of the download services of bell sound & character contents.

A hybrid ad-hoc network consists of a wired network and a mobile ad-hoc network connected by the internet gateway. To provide seamless service for internet user in hybrid ad-hoc network, an efficient internet gateway selection technique and a fast handover technique are needed. In this paper, we propose a seamless handoff technique for providing mobility of mobile hosts in hybrid ad-hoc networks. The proposed technique improves general handoff performance by an internet gateway re-registration algorithm for ad-hoc networks. Moreover, it reduces handoff processing time in the range of certain region by using mobility management agent (MMA) and also the packet loss when handoff occurs out of the range of MMA by tunneling technique.

This paper proposes Internet-based checking scheme for machine-tools with a variant CNC. Checking points defined in this research are classified into two categories such as structured point and operational point. The formal includes the vibration of bearing, temperature of spindle unit and another periodical management. And the latter includes oil checking, clamp locking/unlocking and machining on/off status. Through this research, for the global management of variant CNC machines interspersed with CAC and OAC in manufacturing system, the suitable environment for Internet-based checking of variant CNC machines was designed and the checking methods for CAC and OAC machines were compared with each other.

Understanding and adapting to changes of customer behavior in internet shopping mall is an important aspect to survive in continuously changing environment. This paper develops a methodology based on decision tree algorithms to detect changes of customer behavior automatically from customer profiles and sales data at different time snapshots. We first define three types of changes as emerging pattern, unexpected change and the added/perished rule. Then, it is developed similarity and difference measures for rule matching to detect all types of change. Finally, the degree of change is developed to evaluate the amount of change. A Korean internet shopping mall case is evaluated to represent the performance of our methodology. And practical business implications for this methodology are also provided.

네트워크 설계, 관리, 트래픽 엔지니어링 등을 수행하기 위해서는 우선적으로 인터넷 트래픽을 측정하여 품질(또는 성능)과의 관계 및 트래픽 변화 추세 등을 파악하는 것이 필요하다. 그러나 인터넷 트래픽 특성 및 구조로 인하여 한가지 방법으로는 네트워크 상태를 명확히 측정하는 것이 어려우며, 현재까지 목적에 따라 다양한 방법이 개발되어 시도되는 상황이다. 본 연구는 국내 인터넷 트래픽 상황을 지속적이고 대규모적으로 살펴보고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 인터넷의 품질 또는 트래픽 특성 분석을 위하여 사용되는 측정방법을 그 특성에 따라 분류하고 상기목적을 위해 설계된 인터넷 트래픽 측정 인프라를 구성하는 측정 시스템들과 그 특성을 살펴보고자 한다. 특히 본 측정시스템은 네트워크 성능(품질)과 트래픽 규모에 동시에 초점을 맞추어 설계 제작되었으며, 상시측정, 실시간 데이터 처리, 분석 및 실시간 상황판 제공 기능을 갖고 있다.

최근 휴대전화 문자스팸 차단 강화로 인한 풍선효과로 휴대전화 음성스팸이 지속적으로 증가하고 있고, 2015년 3월부터는 음성스팸 건수가 문자스팸 건수를 역전해서 급속도로 증가하고 있어 효율적으로 음성스팸을 차단할 수 있는 시스템 구축의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이에, 음성스팸 신고번호와 음성스팸 가상 트랩(실제 존재하지 않는 가상의 휴대전화번호를 적용)을 통해 탐지된 내용을 기반으로 음성스팸 전화번호 차단리스트를 생성하고 이를 이통사에게 제공하여 일정기간 동안 음성호를 차단하는 음성스팸 실시간 차단시스템을 설계하고자 한다.

망 자원의 효율적인 사용, 관리 및 기존의 망을 흡수 통합하기 위해서 차세대통합네트워크(NGcN), ALL­IP 망으로 망 진화가 이루어지고 있으며, 이에 따라 동기식 CDMA2000 과 비동기식 WCDMA의 이동 통신망도 통합 및 연동에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그리고, 망 개방화에 대한 분위기도 고조되는 상황에서 CDMA2000, WCDMA등과 같은 서로 다른 무선 액세스 망에서 동일한 게이트웨이를 통하여 무선인터넷 서비스를 제공하려는 움직임도 있다. 본 논문에서는 망 진화에 따른 망통합 및 연동과 망 개방에 따른 COMA200 과 WCDMA 의 서로 다른 무선인터넷 액세스를 동시에 지원하기 위한 시스템인 A­MiDAS(Advanced Mobile internet Data Access System)에 대해서 소개하고, A­MiDAS 내의 CDMA2000 과 WCDMA 를 수용하기 위해서 설계 및 개발된 MNAB(Mobile Network Access Board)에 대해서 기술한다.

The exponential growth of the Internet usage has motivated the launching of many commercial business web sites. Internet as a purchasing medium shows several unique characteristics because of its customer- driven technologies and absence of physical products. Thus, new commercial medium provokes a reclassification of products. Twenty five types of commercial Products are empirically tested in the Internet retailing and found to be grouped into four categories. This classification framework is investigated in the view of involvement and web technology Furthermore, this paper proposes four business web implementation strategies - impressive, simple, sensory, and semantic - based on the product classification. Proposed guidelines on business web might increase customer satisfaction.
