  • On the Internet we are confronted with a huge amount of information in daily lives. However, we do not have system support for storing and managing Internet search results useful for us. To solve this problem, this paper presents a data management system in which search results obtained from wikipedia and a web search engine are organized in a structured way, enabling an easy access to them later.

  • This paper proposes an intelligent search modeling using avatar agent. This system consists of some modules such as agent interface, agent management, preprocessor, interface machine. Core-Symbol Database and Spell Checker are related to the preprocessor module and Interface Machine is connected with Best Aggregate Designer. Our avatar agent system does the indexing work that converts user's natural language type sentence to the proper words that is suitable for the specific branch information retrieval. Indexing is one of the preprocessing steps that make it possible to guarantee the specialty of user's input and increases the reliability of the result. It references a database that consists of synonym and specific branch dictionary. The resulting symbol after indexing is used for draft search by the internet search engine. The retrieval page position and link information are stored in the database. We experimented our system with the stock market keyword SAMSUNG_SDI, IBM, and SONY and compared the result with that of Altavista and Google search engine. It showed quite excellent results.

  • In this paper, we investigate the relationship between Internet search trends and stock market. Under the assumption that investors may use Internet search engine to obtain information for companies of their interests before taking actual investment actions, the relationship between the changes on Internet search volume and the fluctuation of trading volume as well as stock price of a company is analyzed with actual market data. A search trend investment strategy that reflects the changes on Internet search volume is applied to large enterprises' group and to small and medium enterprises' (SMEs) group, and the correlation between profit rate and trading volume is analyzed for each company group. Our search trend investment strategy has outperformed average stock market returns in both KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets during the seven-year study period (2007~2013). It is also shown that search trend investment strategy is more effective to SMEs than to large enterprises. The relationship between changes on Internet search volume and stock trading volume is stronger at SMEs than at large enterprises.

  • Since we use internet every day, the internet privacy has become important. We need to find out what kinds of personal information is exposed to the internet and to eliminate the exposed information. However, it is not efficient to search the personal information using only fragmentary clues in web search engines because the ranking results are not relevant to the exposure degree of personal information. In this paper, we introduced a personal information retrieval system and proposed a process to remove private data from the web easily. We also compared our proposed method with previous methods by evaluating the search performance.

  • Internet information search engines using web robots visit servers conneted to the Internet periodically or non-periodically. They extract and classify data collected according to their own method and construct their database, which are the basis of web information search engines. There procedure are repeated very frequently on the Web. Many search engine sites operate this processing strategically to become popular interneet portal sites which provede users ways how to information on the web. Web search engine contacts to thousands of thousands web servers and maintains its existed databases and navigates to get data about newly connected web servers. But these jobs are decided and conducted by search engines. They run web robots to collect data from web servers without knowledge on the states of web servers. Each search engine issues lots of requests and receives responses from web servers. This is one cause to increase internet traffic on the web. If each web server notify web robots about summary on its public documents and then each web robot runs collecting operations using this summary to the corresponding documents on the web servers, the unnecessary internet traffic is eliminated and also the accuracy of data on search engines will become higher. And the processing overhead concerned with web related jobs on web servers and search engines will become lower. In this paper, a monitoring system on the web server is designed and implemented, which monitors states of documents on the web server and summarizes changes of modified documents and sends the summary information to web robots which want to get documents from the web server. And an efficient web robot on the web search engine is also designed and implemented, which uses the notified summary and gets corresponding documents from the web servers and extracts index and updates its databases.

  • In web search engines, there are two main methods: directory searching and keyword searching. Keyword searching shows high recall rate but tends to come up with too many search results to find which users want to see the pages. Directory searching has also a difficulty to find the pages that users want in case of selecting improper category without knowing the exact category, that is, it shows high precision rates but low recall rates. We designed and implemented a new web search engine to resolve the problems of directory search method. It regards a category as a fuzzy set which contains keywords and calculate the degree of inclusion between categories. The merit of this method is to enhance the recall rate of directory searching by expanding subcategories on the basis of similarity.

  • Internet news consumption is rapidly growing in Korea, and majority of that is being done through Naver, Korea's primary search engine. Naver is also the go-to search engine for smartphone use. This study analyzed 824 most popular news accessed via mobile gears; the news items were selected from Naver's 'Daily Top 10 Stories,' dating from March 2016 to December 2016. The results indicate that entertainment news were the most viewed, while political and social issue news were the most liked and commented by mobile users. With regard to news value, 'prominence' and 'impact' were the two most important factors that influenced a user's news selection process in a mobile environment. The degree of a news' 'prominence' was the most important factor that determined the number of views, while 'impact' was critical to determining "the most commented-upon" and "the most liked" news. The results also indicate that mobile news consumers prefer more dramatic storylines and events that incite public anger or grief, threaten the safety of citizens, or evoke emotional sympathy rather than 'hard news' about such subjects as politics and economics.

It is risen to important problem that use of internet acquires correct information rapidly on modem society which is generalized. This paper designed internet search engine and understand structure of that drawing URL which is optimized, and secure embodiment technology using OOPL(Object-Oriented Programming Language). Also, compare with existent domestic manufacture search engines and system that propose showed that the bad link rate is improved in this paper.

  • As the Internet becomes widespread as a significant tool of obtaining information, there is a growing demand for a system to efficiently organize and manage information on the Internet. Accordingly, research on the directory classification structure that directly affects the efficiency of a users information search is actively investigated in every field. The study intends to suggest an efficient classification structure by comparing and analyzing the directory classification structure of current design portal sites with the theory of literature classification structure, in order to increase the efficiency of search according to the directory classification structure of design sector.

  • Recently, children's internet search engines are becoming the main method to access information. For those engines to function properly, search behavior of children as their searchers should be studied and the findings be applied to design and improve the systems. So an experiment was conducted and 22 3rd-grade elementary school students performed 3 searching tasks through 'Junior Naver' and 'Yahoo!꾸러기' which are representative children's search engines in Korea. Children's searching behavior was analyzed thoroughly through which the problems of children's search engines were diagnosed and recommendations were suggested to improve them.
