In this study quality of tobacco cessation information provided through Internet web sites was evaluated in terms of retrievability, easy of use, user-supportiveness, feedback, and continuity. This study limited to those internet web sites developed and delivered by Korean public health service organizations or their related institutions or associations. This study analyzed 8 internet web sites and evaluation criteria developed by Chung, Yong Chul (2002) and Yoo, Sarah (2001) were used. Study results indicated that retrievability was evaluated low except search-speed of data: the easy of use was evaluated moderately: user-supportiveness was evaluated moderately: feedback, and continuity of those sites were evaluated low. The quality of tobacco cession information of those sites are needed to be improved. The development of guidelines for standardized health information on Internet web sites is necessary, too.

In this research, an internet-based fabric information system has been developed. Recently, the numbers of textile industries which have their own homepages to advertise their product fabrics fur apparel through the Internet and textile e-Commerce web sites rapidly increase. Unfortunately, traditional fabric information systems based on direct meeting and trust cannot give sufficient information to numerous visitors of the Internet sites including fabric buyers for apparel. They can just view 3-dimensional fabric images and text-based specifications such as fabric density, composition, colors, weight, etc. To solve these problems, the new fabric information system fur apparel has been developed. The web-based fabric information system is composed of the following six modules; $\circled1$ fabric database management system, $\circled2$ a 3-D fabric drape image viewer to illustrate fabric appearances, $\circled3$ a virtual wearing system to apply a fabric to garment designs, $\circled4$ a fabric property viewer to confirm fabric characteristics, $\circled5$ a QC (quality control) document generator to manufacture high qualify garments with a fabric, and$\circled6$actual display mall to view actual fabrics. The fabric information system is simply performed by visitors clicking the buttons hyper-linked with JAVA applets on web browser. The web-based fabric information system enables the web site visitors to understand fabrics shown on the Internet in more details.

A key factor far realizing the internet-based virtual manufacturing system(VMS) and virtual enter-prise(VE) is how to precisely and effectively represent the machine elements and mechanics. In this paper, we present methods to represent the numerically controlled machine tools in the internet environment. The method is composed of: 1) geometrical modeling of the machine tools, 2) kinematic modeling for the movements of the machine tools, and 3) representing the developed model in the internet infrastructure. Based on the models. a web-based virtual machine tools (WVMT) is developed, and it can be accessed at hrrp://wvmt.postech.ac.kr. The WVMT can be used for various purposes: 1) web-based virtual manufacturing system, 2) web-based CAM system, and 3) CNC educational tools for the vocational school through internet.

The combination of data warehousing and Internet technology produces a new concept - web warehousing. Due to the availability of web technologies and the need to make prompt decisions with timely information, web warehousing is emerging as a key strategic business weapon. Yet despite the many promising benefits of web warehousing, researchers have also identified several challenges, including scalability and availability. With the rise of the Internet and data centric computing applications, the use of new Storage Area Network (SAN) technology has been spotlighted for the possibility of a new data repository for web warehousing. In this article, the two new concepts of web warehousing and storage area networks are introduced. In particular, a SAN is discussed in detail as an alternative data repository to overcome the current limitations of web warehousing.

Nowadays social environment is rapidly changed toward globalization and information age, and which demands the new paradigm for active utilization of information system in many fields. The increasing availability and ease of accessibility of the internet using world wide web have resulted in an enormous increase in the amount of nutrition information in countries with advanced information technology. However, Domestic web services in nutrition field are neither diverse nor professional currently. Nutrition experts need to take advantage of the resources offered though the web and take an active role in providing reliable and accurate information and preventing the growth of nutrition misinformation though web. Nutrition web sites on a variety of subjects should be developed depending upon the objectivity of nutrition resources and the target clients. Nutrition-related organizations are responsible for monitoring nutrition web information and encouraging open discussion and evaluation of hot issues among experts, and between experts and clients through the internet.

To facilitate a better understanding of the benefits, problems, and issues associated with the use of Internet and (World Wide) Web in business, we conducted an exploratory study on the use of Internet and Web by Small and Medium Enterprise(SME) using the Action-Audience Model. The Action-Audience model categorizes business use of the Web: to provide information (Informational Web), to carry out business transactions (Transactional Web), and to support business activities (Operational Web). The model also recognizes different audiences of the Web. The study shows that SMEs are in the early stage of Web use.

Web sites on the internet are excellent information resources for the consumers to gain health care knowledge. Especially web sites related to child-care more increase recently. But a concern has emerged for the quality of contents contained on the child-care web sites. Lack of evaluation criteria have led to inaccurate and misleading child-care related publications on the Internet. For evaluating the quality and reliability of child-care related information on the Web, rating tool should be provided and developed. So, this article reviewed and investigated the elements to evaluate child-care sites on the internet. On the basis of the review of articles and the validity test about the contents, 16 preliminary items including purpose, contents, authority, feedback, design developed. Through the pilot study that apply the preliminary evaluating criteria to 20 evaluating criteria for child-care web sites developed. This evaluating criteria have 24 items and that were categorized to purpose(2 items), detail of contents(16 items), authority(2 items), feedback(2 items), design(4 items). The result of this study suggest that the evaluation criteria for child-care web sites may be useful for evaluating the quality of child-care web sites.

최근 모든 사물을 인터넷에 연결하는 IoT(Internet of Things)에서 사물 간의 데이터를 전송하는 통신 프로토콜에 대한 표준화가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 기반의 IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) CoAP(Constrained Application Protocol)을 이용한 실내 IoT 자원 제어 서비스를 설계하고 구현한다. 이를 위해 웹 서버에서 프록시(proxy)와 RD(Resource Directory) 기능을 갖는 웹 기반의 실내 IoT 자원 제어 구조를 제시한다. 실내 IoT 자원 제어 서비스에서는 CoAP 프로토콜을 통해 실내 IoT 자원을 웹 서버에 등록하고, 프록시의 HTTP과 CoAP메시지 변환 기능을 이용하여 인터넷 상에서 웹 클라이언트와 IoT 자원 간 통신을 지원하고, 사용자가 웹 브라우즈를 이용하여 실내 환경을 모니터링하고 제어할 수 있도록 한다.

The environment of If is, currently, on its developing process to the period of Web Service, Ubiquitous, and Telemetics which not only enable computer and internet to be utilized like the water or the air, but also be a new motivating force for its advance. In the respect of various interactions and User Interface, however, it is requiring more demands from its users, and additional functions which cannot be provided by the Web Browser. It is required a new model for supplementary of the limitation of Web_based according to their customers' requirement, to enrich the good aspects of Client-Server System, and accept such various intricate requirements. It is X-Internet, which has born with these requirements. In this study, therefore, it will be suggested a productive development framework and a method to perform the project on Rich-Thin Client Platform of X-Internet Based.

일반적으로 유선망을 통한 인터넷 접속은 의료영상과 같이 대용량의 데이터를 전송하기에는 잔송속도가 매우 낮다. 인터넷의 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 고속의 위성 인터넷 통신을 위한 비대칭 위성 데이터 통신 시스템을 개발하였다. 비대칭 위성 데이터 통신은 데이터 경로가 비대칭인 것으로 데이터의 요청은 유선망을 통하고 대용량 데이터의 수신은 위성을 통하는 방식이다. 본 비대칭 위성 데이터 통신 시스템은 기존의 유선망에 비해 약 10-30배의 전송속도 향상의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 인터넷을 통해 인증된 모든 병원으로부터 원격 의료를 수행할 수 있는 웹 기반의 원격의료시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 Java를 이용하여 개발하였으며 별도의 도구를 구입하지 않더라도 넷스케이프와 같은 웹 브라우저를 통해 세계 어디에서나 의료 영상과 정보를 접속하고 검색할 수 있는 기능을 가지고 있다. 원격의료시스템의 전송 속도를 향상시키기 위해 JPEG을 통해 영상을 압축하였다. 결론적으로 우리는 제안한 비대칭 위성기술과 웹 기술을 이용하여 고속의 범용 원격의료시스템을 개발할 수 있었으며 이를 이용하여 의료영상시스템을 병원내부용도에서 범용의 원격의료시스템으로 그 범위를 확장시킬 수 있었다.
