This paper discusses some requirement issues of future global e-trade. Korea has been making lots of efforts on e-trade promotions and many research results support that the performance of e-trade should be increased. There are still many unsolved issues as well as future demands in this area. In this paper, we propose some e-trade requirements for next generation and those are e-trade governance, collaboration enhancement among trading participants, the utilization of e-trade documents repository, the expansion of global e-trade network, and e-trade intelligence just to name a few. For each requirement, we propose some research topics as well as practical implications for improving the performance of global e-trades. One can find some useful thoughts for the future research based on the propositions made by this paper.

The Korea UK e-Science Collaboration project has been aimed at supporting research and collaboration between Korean and UK researchers. Its goal is to benefit the nation by reducing cost and time in constructing the National e-Science Research Environment' by studying and benchmarking the cases in countries that have already procured advanced technologies in the area. Two joint workshops were held in a year where researchers from the two countries had the opportunities to share their research results with each other. Also, the project has supported exchanges of researchers fostering expertise in the field. In the course of the project, the e-Science Centre in the UK and KISTI have signed MoU(Memorandum of Understanding) in 2006. Moreover, there have been active research collaboration between Korea and the UK. The University of Southampton will share the BioSimGrid data with the Korean counterpart, and the University of York has provided the AURA software. In the future, KISTI and the UK NGS(National Grid Service) will organize a working group at OGF that will work mainly on the standardization of Parameter Sweep and bring it to lead the global standard. KISTI will include its own AURORA system into OMI-UK software stack, which will enable access to NGS resources through AURORA user application. The collaboration with the UK has opened up more opportunities for collaboration with other countries as well. KISTI and HLRS in Germany have agreed to share the COVISE and will have research exchanges. As such, it is expected that Korea will play a major role in e-Science research by building strategic and systematic collaborative relations with its International partners.

우리나라 건설기업은 지난 1965년 처음 해외건설시장에 진출하여 2008년 8월 현재까지 6천4백여 건의 프로젝트를 수주하였으며, 해외건설 수주누계는 올해 안에 3천억불을 달성할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 지속적인 국내건설시장의 정체와 부동산시장의 침체, 그리고 플랜트 사업을 중심으로 하는 해외건설시장 규모의 확대로 대기업뿐만 아니라 해외시장에 새로이 진출하는 중소기업도 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 대기업과 중소기업이 수주균형과 수익률 안정, 기술력 및 가격경쟁력의 확보 등 상호 미흡한 점의 보완을 위해 공동수급체를 구성하여 진출하는 비중도 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 1990년부터 2006년까지 국내건설기업이 수주한 해외건설프로젝트 3천여 건 중 국내 건설기업간의 공동진출을 통해 수행된 613건의 프로젝트를 대상으로 사회연결망분석 (social network analysis)을 실시하여 각 공동진출 유형의 구조적인 특성을 탐색적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구는 해외건설시장에 진출한 건설기업들의 양상에 대한 후속 연구를 통해 신규 시장진출 및 사업 수주의 전략수립에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Recently, engineering work become very important for the leaders of the information society for the future knowledge in the 21st century and the goal of engineering education is to prepare people to practice engineering as a profession and also to spread technological literacy, increase student interest in technical careers through science and math education. The College of Engineering (COE) of Korea Maritime University (KMU) aims to be the center of both IT-related high industrial technology and the industries related to port, shipbuilding and the ocean. Especially COE focuses on the educational principles to contribute to the development of the country and the regional communities by educating specialists that have international competitiveness. With the need to expand international collaboration in terms of engineering work, it is proposed to initiate a new state of the Asian-Pacific body of engineering conference. To the extent possible the basic discussion was made to expose elements and supports as full-scale illustration of the engineering conference. The result is a body that evokes multi agreement and joint declaration among members.

The Two Nations One Mind film contest was launched by the collaboration between Pukyong National University (PKNU) in Busan, The Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) in Bangkok, Thailand. The project was funded mainly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, South Korea. The intention of the project was to increase the recognition of Korea in Thailand through co-production filmmaking between university students from the two countries. This paper aims to look at the feedback from the project participants from both nations as to how international co-productions resulted in cultural exchange and international youth cooperation. The paper also examines the films produced from the project, Blossom, Different (Yet) the Same, Two Taste, Two Nations and When I Was There, for how they reflect the elements of transnational cinema. The comments from the films' audience were also taken as part of the data.

Front end planning is arguably the most impactful process in the successful delivery of capital projects. Organizations expend substantial effort in this planning process, intending to minimize risk and promote project success. This process has been well documented, including critical technical components, as well as the importance of team collaborative components. As organizations continue to pursue large projects with multi-national participation from sponsors, designers, contractors and suppliers, the importance of collaboration on a global scale during front end planning becomes more important, not less. This paper will outline research performed over the past two decades giving the basic components of the process and the value of global collaboration. It will provide guidance to project participants in pursuing successful planning.

본 연구는 국내 외 업종 간 콜라보레이션의 효과적인 방향성을 제안하고 이를 확산시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 국내 외의 기업이 콜라보레이션을 통해 높은 가치를 실현한 사례를 연구 방법으로 선택했다. 연구결과 최근 공유경제에 관한 관심이 높아짐으로 인해, 기업에서도 점차 협업을 통해 공유가치를 실현하기 위해 노력하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 실용적 가구 브랜드인 IKEA와 숙박 공유 플랫폼 서비스인 Airbnb의 콜라보레이션을 제안하였다. 콜라보레이션을 통해 이 두 기업의 현재 한계점을 상생시킬 수 있었고, 공유경제의 가치 실현으로 이들의 사회적 이미지까지 높아질 수 있다는 결과 값을 얻어낼 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구를 바탕으로, IKEA와 Airbnb뿐만 아니라 여러 기업이 콜라보레이션을 통해 공유경제 활성화의 가치를 만들어 낼 수 있기를 기대한다.

The study analyzed bibliometric data of papers published in Korea Citation Index (KCI) and Web of Science (WoS) journals from 2002 to 2021. After examining size differences of KCI and WoS domains in the number of authors, institutions, and journals to put publication and citations counts in perspective, the study investigated co-authorship patterns over time to compare collaboration trends of Korean and international scholars and analyzed the data at author, institution, and journal levels to explore how the influences of authors, institutions, and journals on research output differ across domains. The study also conducted frequency-based analysis of keywords to identify key topics and visualized keyword clusters to examine topic trends. The result showed Korean LIS authors to be twice as productive as international authors but much less impactful and Korean institutions to be at comparable levels of productivity and impact in contrast to much of productivity and impact concentrated in top international institutions. Citations to journals exhibited initially increasing pattern followed by a decreasing trend though WoS journals showed far more variance than KCI journals. Co-authorship trends were much more pronounced among international publication, where larger collaboration groups suggested multi-disciplinary and complex nature of international LIS research. Keyword analysis found continuing diversification of topics in international research compared to relatively static topic trend in Korea. Keyword visualization showed WoS keyword clusters to be much denser and diverse than KCI clusters. In addition, key keyword clusters of WoS were quite different from each other unlike KCI clusters which were similar.

오늘날 4차 산업 혁명에 따른 새로운 기술의 발전은 비대면 협업과 같은 업무수행 방식이 요구되고 있다. 이에 부응하여 다양한 VR 협업 툴이 등장하고 있으나 협업이나 디자인 개발 업무에서 활용되고 있는 VR 협업 툴이 제한적이. 따라서 비대면 협업을 위한 VR의 장점과 가능성에도 불구하고 실무 활용에 있어 한계가 있다. 이에 따라 디지털화되고 있는 업무 환경에서 효과적인 협업을 위한 VR 협업 툴 개발이 필요하며 이를 위한 UI 디자인 개발에 관한연구가 요구된다. 본 연구의 목적은 사용자 조사를 통하여 협업 시 첫 단계인 브레인스토밍 단계에서 나타나는 사용자 행동 요소를 적용한 인터랙션 및 UI 디자인을 개발함으로써 VR 협업 툴 프로토타입을 제안하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 질적 연구로 연구 방법은 관찰과 심층 인터뷰를 통한 사용자 조사를 수행하고 이로부터 얻은 데이터를 분석한 결과로 5가지 사용자의 손짓 행동 요소를 도출하였다. 행동 요소로서의 손짓을 반영한 인터랙션 UI를 디자인하고 Unity와 Oculus Integration SDK Kit를 사용하여 컨트롤러 없이 사용할 수 있는 VR 협업 툴 프로토타입을 제작하였다. 본 연구에서 제작한 프로토타입에 대한 사용성 평가를 실시한 결과 사용자가 손짓을 정확히 행하여야 한다는 어려움이 나타나 UI 디자인의 보완점을 찾아볼 수 있었다. 또한 VR 협업 공간에서 개인 작업과 공유를 위한 공간의 구분을 조절할 수 있는 UI 디자인의 필요성도 알 수 있었다. 본 연구가 업무의 효율성을 높여줄 수 있는 VR 협업툴을 위한 인터랙션 및 UI 디자인 개발에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

This paper introduces AmericaView, a consortium for promoting remote sensing education, research and applications. As a case study, GeorgiaView is described in more detail. The AmericaView Consortium and StateView Consortia are good examples of collaboration for broadening the horizon of remote sensing applications in South Korea. Furthermore, the AmericaView example represents an opportunity for building a stepping stone to international collaboration.
