Knowledge and technology resources are the most crucial sources for the achievement of sustainable development in competitive advantage. Meanwhile, few empirical studies have clarified the types of knowledge and technology resources that nonprofit organizations (NPOs) use and develop. This study aims to categorize knowledge and technology resources in NPOs that both researchers and practitioners can use to develop the nonprofit sector further. A qualitative research method was used for the study. Data were collected from 31 interviews with senior and founding members of NPOs in Thailand. Analysis of qualitative data identified five critical categories of knowledge resources: human resources, organizational practices, partnership or stakeholder involvement, operational practices, and other resources. This study also illustrates both internal and external technology resources, which are used in sample organizations. The study's findings contribute to developing a body of knowledge management literature related to the knowledge and technology resources of NPOs.
Airframe internal and external specifications are the product of intensive intellectual efforts and technological breakthroughs distinguishing each aircraft manufacturer. Therefore, geometrical information characterizing aircraft primary aerodynamic surfaces remain classified. When attempting to model real aircraft, many members of the aeronautical community depend on their personal expertise and generic design principles to bypass the confidentiality obstacles and sketch real aircraft airfoils, which therefore vary for the same aircraft due to the different designers' initial assumptions. This paper presents a photogrammetric shape prediction method for deriving geometrical properties of real aircraft airframe by utilizing their publicly accessible static and dynamic visual content. The method is based on extracting the visually distinguishable curves at the fairing regions between aerodynamic surfaces and fuselage. Two case studies on B-29 and B-737 are presented showing how to approximate the sectional coordinates of their wing inboard airfoils and proving the good agreement between the geometrical and aerodynamic properties of the replicated airfoils to their original versions. Therefore, the paper provides a systematic reverse engineering approach that will enhance aircraft conceptual design and flight performance optimization studies.
Generally, a straight displacement meter is used to obtain displacement data to verify the safety of structural members and structures. A straight displacement meter is also used to measure the absolute displacement in research laboratories or safety inspection sites such as bridges and buildings. In this study, for structures in which the displacement sensor could not be fixed at the location where the displacement was to be measured, a circular displacement meter was manufactured to measure the displacement by installing a displacement gauge on the structure itself. In other words, when measuring the horizontal displacement of an upper part, such as a wind tower, a circular displacement meter was installed inside the wind tower to integrate it with the structure, applying the principle that the structure itself can be used as a displacement meter. This circular displacement meter can be installed and used inside a circular structure. Whereas in the case of a telephone pole, it can be installed outside to measure displacement. It can be manufactured in various sizes and used.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of diabetes education on diabetic management by determining the changes of the knowledge and practice for diet therapy and blood glucose level pre-training and post-training. While trust and commitment, essential ingredients of the relationship quality variables, are core mediating variables for the purpose of maintaining the long-term relationship, in the context of the internal political economy of company and the relational performance of its members, there have been limited studies which explore as to how each of the dimensions have affect differently. The basic purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between an automobile manufacturer and its agencies. The main purpose of this study is to examine how each different dimension of trust and commitment on the automobile manufacturer have different mediating effects in the context of internal political economy variables and relational performance perceived by its agents. Another purpose is to investigate the mechanism by which the relational performance of the agencies is improved. An empirical study surveying 115 sales office managers at a leading automobile manufacturer in Korea was conducted. An analysis of the collected data indicates that while internal political economy variables have a positive influence on the agencies' relational performance through the mediating role of trust and commitment, agencies' benevolence on its headquarter has a different influence on the dimensions of commitment. Currently, an automobile manufacturer is advised to implement the relational management philosophy in dealing with its agencies with an hope of innovative orientation for customers. In this sense, this study is a big stride in providing ample implications for the automobile manufacturer in establishing trust and commitment, which are the prerequisite conditions in developing and maintaining a successful long-term relationship with its agencies, and in improving the agency's relational performance.

The onset of fire on the International Space Station (ISS) is a critical problem that can threaten the life of crew members onboard and thus instantaneous fire detection and extinguishment technology has been considered as one of the most important aspects in the ISS operation. In the present study, a numerical analysis was performed to better understanding of the characteristics of smoke behaviors and detection in a pressurized module of the ISS using the NIST Fire Dynamic Simulator (FDS). Numerical results indicate that the smoke flow patterns under zero-gravity condition are clearly different from those under normal gravity condition. In addition, the results obtained from numerical simulations coupled with the PM internal flows are expected to provide basic and useful information in designing the microgravity fire detection devices and establishing in fire response protocol for astronauts or the crew members.
The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between organizational cultural perception gap and organizational effectiveness. it has rarely been studied in the academia. The research of the organizational cultural perception gap provides entrepreneurs directions on how to manage a company. Since previous studies have been focused on cultural type or strength, this study aims to suggest managerial implication in detail by analyzing present-ideal gap. Furthermore, this study would discover how it is different according to a psychological mechanism. The empirical results of 134 employees showed that the organizational cultural perception gap (i.e. Clan) had a negative effect on job satisfaction and affective commitment. In order to reduce the negative effects of organizational cultural perception gap, it is necessary to reach an agreement with members on organizational culture, which is ideal for organizational level, and understanding the members' internal motivations is important for proper organizational management.

Bridge redundancy is defined as the capability of a bridge to sustain loads after one of its main members incurs damage. It is affected by many parameters, including the number of girders, span length, girder height, internal supports, and secondary members. The present AASHTO and Korean Bridge design codes, however, define bridge redundancy only as the number of girders, and neither the evaluation method nor the required level of redundancy is given. This study presented a redundancy evaluation method for plate girder bridges with severe fatigue damage based on the reliability method,by considering the essential parameters. A required level of redundancy was also proposed as a target system reliability index from the load capacity analysis and reliability analysis of the basis bridge designed by LRFD. Finally, the level of redundancy of simple and continuous plate girder bridges with a variable number of girders designed by ASD was evaluated and presented.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to develop a program of group psychotherapy named "the promotion of hope program (PHP)" that will provide effective emotional support for cancer patients. Methods: In order to develop a group counseling program for cancer patients, this study utilized reality therapy based on Oriental medicine theory which is the mind affect the body. We established four steps for making positive changes to individual behavior: creating soil for hope, watering hope, sprouting hope, and the blossoming flower of hope. To verify the effectiveness of the program, we conducted a comparative clinical trial. Patients were divided into two groups by unrestricted randomization: the intervention group (n=20) and the control group (n=17). The members of each group did not exceed seven patients. We divided the trial period into three sections. The intervention group received group psychotherapy twice a week for 4 weeks. The control group watched hope-related videos and talked about members for two hours each week for four weeks. We evaluated the scale of anxiety and depression, self-esteem, and hope, both before and after the examination. Results: PHP decreased the level of anxiety and depression in the intervention group (1.21 vs. 0.75, p<0.01). PHP also improved the level of both self esteem (2.80 vs. 3.34, p<0.01) and hope (2.69 vs. 3.23, p<0.01). In contrast, the control group showed no interval change at any point in time. Conclusion: Following the above results, PHP can be seen as an effective program for helping cancer patients to increase positive emotions and behaviors while reducing negative thoughts.
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the opinions of Korean medical doctors on how to elucidate possible remedial measures for expanding the health insurance benefits coverage item of Korean medicine (KM). Methods: An online survey was conducted to all members who had registered e-mail address in the association of Korean medicine from 1 to 17 November, 2016. Statistical analysis was performed and odds ratio with 95% confidence interval were calculated by each subgroup. Results: A total of 743 members answered the questions and the response rate was 4.1%. The priorities for expanding health insurance benefits were as follows: thermographic imaging, Sasang constitution typing test, and pulse wave among examinations; pharamacopuncture, embedding acupuncture, and acupotomy among procedures; Chuna manual therapy, manual therapy for meridian muscle, and Daoyin exercise therapy among manual therapies; low-frequency electrical therapy, traction, paraffin bath, and light therapy among physical therapies; and aromatherapy, enema therapy, and color therapy among activities of KM. Conclusions: It should be covered by the national health insurance (NHI) of KM that thermographic imaging, pharmacoacupuncture, Chuna manual therapy, low-frequency electrical therapy, aromatherapy as a top priority. We also suggest that basic medical tests, such as blood, urine, or imaging, should be included in the coverage of the NHI of KM. It is necessary to review the expertise and public opinions about the plans and priorities for the conversion of the desired medical services to be covered by the NHI.
