This paper proposes a multiphase interleaved zero-voltage-transition boost converter with a single soft-switching cell for high-voltage DC-DC converter (HDC) of fuel cell systems. The proposed single soft-switching cell structure can reduce the system volume by minimizing the passive and active elements added even in the multiphase-interleaved structure. To analyze the feasibility of the proposed structure, this paper mathematically analyzes the operation modes of the converter with the proposed single soft-switching cell structure and presents guidelines for design and considerations. In addition, the feasibility of the 210[kW] HDC was confirmed through PSIM simulation, and the system volume reduction of up to 10.48% was confirmed as a result of the 5[kW] HDC test-bed experiment considering the fuel cell system. Through this, the validity of the proposed structure was verified.
In this paper, we introduce motion artifact reduction algorithm for interleaved MRI using an advanced 3D approximation algorithm. The motion artifact framework of this paper is data corrected by post-processing with a new 3-D approximation algorithm which uses data structure for each voxel. In this study, we simulate and evaluate our algorithm using Shepp-Logan phantom and T1-MRI template for both scattered dataset and uniform dataset. We generated motion artifact using random generated motion parameters for the interleaved MRI. In simulation, we use image coregistration by SPM12 (https://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/) to estimate the motion parameters. The motion artifact correction is done with using full dataset with estimated motion parameters, as well as use only one half of the full data which is the case when the half volume is corrupted by severe movement. We evaluate using numerical metrics and visualize error images.

This paper proposes a single-stage interleaved totem-pole on-board battery charger with a simple structure and a reduced component count. Apart from achieving ZVS turn-on of all switches and ZCS turn-off of all diodes, this charger does not require an input filter due to its CCM operation and bulky electrolytic capacitors, which in turn result in a high power density. A single-stage power conversion technique is applied to the interleaved structure in order to achieve a high power density and high efficiency. A 2.5 kW prototype of the proposed charger is also built and tested to validate the proposed operation.
The stacking configuration of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, achieved via the filament winding process, exhibits distinct variations compared to conventional FRP composite stacking arrangements. Consequently, it becomes challenging to ascertain the influence of mechanical properties based on the typical stacking structures. Thus, it becomes imperative to enhance the mechanical behavior and optimize the interleaved structures to improve overall performance. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of incorporating amorphous halloysite nanotubes (A-HNTs) within different layers of five unique layer arrangements on the low-velocity impact properties of interleaved carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) structures. The low-velocity impact characteristics of the laminate were validated using a drop weight impact test, wherein the resulting impact damage modes and extent of damage were compared and evaluated under microscopic analysis. Each interleaved structure laminate according to whether nanoparticles are added was compared at impact energies of 10 J and 15 J. In the case of 10 J, the absorption energy showed a similar tendency in each structure. However, at 15 J, the absorption energy varies from structure to structure. Among them, a structure in which nanoparticles are not added exhibits the highest absorption energy. Additionally, various impact fracture modes were observed in each structure through optical microscopy.

This study deals with a bidirectional interleaved soft switching DC-DC converter for a wide range of input voltages. The proposed converter operates in complementary switching with the purpose of inductor size reduction and zero-voltage switching (ZVS) operation. The current ripple related to complementary switching is minimized by three-phase interleaved operation. The main characteristics of the proposed topology are its soft-switching method of operation and its simple structure. The soft-switching operation and the system efficiency of the proposed converter are verified by experimental results.

A new interleaved forward converter, adopting series-input parallel-output structure with a common transformer reset circuit, is proposed in this paper. Series-input structure distributes the voltage stress on switches, which makes it suitable for high input voltage application. Paralleling output stage with an interleaving technique enables the circuit handle large output current and reduces filter size. In addition, since two forward converters share one active-clamp circuit for the transformer reset, its primary structure is simplified. All these features make the proposed converter promising for high input voltage applications with high efficiency and simple structure.
In this paper, using tile concept of block digital filtering, and the design procedure of time-interleaved oversampling converter are presented. it is shown that arbitrary sigma-delta A/D converter can be converted into corresponding time-interleaved structure. The TIM structure of this paper is designed by the bilinear transform. To verify the simulation results, a second-order TIM structure A/D converter has been implemented and the design process as well as experimented results are presented.
In this paper, a multiple coupling inductor with expandable-integrated magnetic structure was proposed to enable miniaturization of external switched mode power supply (SMPS) for a large display. Inductance formula of the proposed inductor structure was derived through magnetic circuit analysis for a simple inductance designing process. The proposed inductor was applied into a 1kW class interleaved bridgeless power factor correction circuit which requires four inductors, and experimental steady state result of the circuit was compared. According to the experimental result, it was found that the proposed multiple coupling inductor shows the electrical characteristics that can replace the conventional separated inductors and is suitable for miniaturization of the SMPS since the circuit configuration is possible with one shared inductor.
In this paper, a new interleaved high step-up converter with low voltage stress on the switches is proposed. In the proposed converter, soft switching is provided for all switches by just one auxiliary switch, which decreases the conduction loss of auxiliary circuit. Also, the auxiliary circuit is expanded on the converter with more input branches. In the converter all main switches operate under zero voltage switching condition and auxiliary switch operate under zero current switching condition. Because of the interleaved structure, the reliability of converter increases and input current ripples decreases. The clamp capacitor in the converter not only absorb the voltage spikes across the switch due to leakage inductance, but also improve voltage gain. The proposed converter is fully analyzed and to verify the theoretical analysis, a 100 W prototype was implemented. Also, to show the effectiveness of auxiliary circuit on conduction EMI, EMI of the proposed converter comprised with hard switching counterpart.
In this paper a DSP based control scheme for the interleaved boost converter is presented. The mathematical model for the interleaved boost converter operating in a continuous inductor current mode is developed. A state-space averaging technique is used for modeling the converter system. A fixed frequency sliding mode controller is designed to ensure current distribution between the two converter modules and to achieve the load voltage regulation simultaneously. Necessary and sufficient conditions, using variable structure theory, are derived for the sliding mode to exist. The range of sliding mode controller coefficients is also determined. The designed controller capability, load distribution among the individual boost cells and load voltage regulation against source and load disturbances, are demonstrated through PSIM simulation results. A real-time controller based on ADMC401 DSP is developed. Experimental results are provided to validate the proposed control scheme.
