Nowadays, the government, nongovernmental organizations, and educational institutions have come up with a variety of policies and objectives which are concerned about the importance of public design in the city. The project for integrated street environment in Sung-Nam at this time has started with the purpose to make the citizens' life safer and wealthier, and the purpose to improve the image of the nation. In the process of modernization, we must realize the overlooked problem(the thoughtless development for the environment and the threatening of the identity about the disagreed value and esthetic sense.) as our problem. We have focused on the suggestion of the road facilities suitable for urbanization which coincides with the quiet city and the global standards rather than pursuing the local growth and meaning. Based on the New Governance Design, we have presented the liberal design process which actively accepts the experts in a variety of fields. With the language of design, 'high-tech, self-restraint, and growth', we have made a homogeneous urban factor which is ideal for time and space.

As the city have been enlarged bigger and more complicated recently, a discussion about a city right, started on the base of perception that a city must be recognized as a public resource and the value. A city rights imply equal use and participation in these city resource. From a start of modern city, a city space have been developed mainly, as a man's economic business and industrial area, but now, to ensure a woman's city right is getting an important factor of citizen's settlement. Then many domestic cities tries to promote a woman friendly city creation. The main purpose of this paper is to find the concept of woman friendly city, based on a gender-sensitive perspective view point and to make an assessment index of Woman Friendliness of the City (WFC). In a case of Ansan City which city is in the planning stage of application for a woman friendly city.

본 논문에서는 실내 인테리어에 적용 가능한 조명 디자인을 기본으로 생각하고 연구하였으며 나아가 근린공원에 설치될 공익시설물을 대상으로 공공디자인의 목적도 함께 연구하여 합리적 사용을 추구하는 모듈형 가변식 실내조명 제품디자인을 연구하고자 한다. 이러한 연구를 위하여 모듈의 기본적인 개념을 알 수 있는 선행연구 고찰과 실내디자인에 적용 가능한 조명과 실내에 대한 선행사례를 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 본 연구에서는 모듈개념을 적용한 조명디자인의 새로운 컨셉을 도출을 위해 제품실무 개발을 위한 디자인 방향과 프로세스, 제품보관, 조립, 관리가 편리한 모듈 조립형 디자인을 제시하여 향후 조명디자인 개발에 관련된 합리적 유지관리 방향을 살펴보고 새로운 제품디자인개발에 반영할 수 있는 디자인 개발사례를 제시하였다. 또한 인지전략 프로세스를 통해 디자인을 진행하였으며 이러한 프로세스는 개념적 전략으로 실내환경 분석단계, 조명유지 보수단계, 가변형 메커니즘단계, 감성활성화 단계를 적용하여 연구를 진행하였다. 이러한 단계적특성은 디자인적인 조형적 아름다운과 접목시켜 MLD(Module Lamp Design) 전략을 제시하여 인간이 느낄 수 있는 공간에 대한 자유로운 적용을 모듈제품과 접목시키고 인간의 시각적접근과 바라보며 자유롭게 생각하는 개념적 가치를 담아 MLD인지전략 디자인 프로세스에 적용시켜 개발 하고자 하였다.

A passenger ship has some differences compared with a general commercial ship from the viewpoint of the structural arrangement. It is difficult to reinforce wide panels and local structures of a passenger ship because of its interior design when they have vibration problems. Moreover, the allowable vibratory limit for a passenger ship is much lower than that of a commercial ship. In this study, it is introduced that the procedure of the vibration analysis and the structural improvement for prevention of vibration with consideration of interior design for the Atrium stairway, one of the local structure installed in public space.

The organization of modern society is suddenly changing from the modern society to the ultra modern informationalized society. Various social members must satisfy cultural and artistic desires to serve museum concept and function to move the informationalized society. A lot of natural history museum in the world build cyber space exhibition lines. Audiences do not directly visit but they view but they view the exhibit, get an education, participate in the cultrue programs and earn the museum's informations. Especially, in the case of national and public museums in Korea, they do not concerned the museum architecture before processing the character and collections of the museum. Cyber museums determine museum character, policy, information, collections converge of opinion voluntary collection and grasp of location, because cyber museum can be finished be4fore the work of the future museum.

The purpose of this study was to investigate planning components of floor plans demanded by consumers and to analyze their demands and wants that can be reflected in developing apartment units. The study was conducted by using small group workshops, so that the participants were able to share the living experiences drawn from apartment living and also to point out the improvements of current 4-bay floor plans available. The research result indicate the follows ; The protection of privacy and communication have relation to the separation of master zone and other rooms. found seven specific categories in relation to planning components of floor plans . Respondents wanted new rooms that could accomodate various function, separated the private spaces from public space in center.

In modern times, pluralistic social phenomena in which various values are pursed and recognized appear. The modern society called hyper-connected, intelligence information and zero marginal cost society in which shared value is commonly emphasized faces a paradigm shift to shared society system. In particular, sharing-based activities related with intelligence information sectors more prominently emerge in the high-tech informatization which has been accelerated. The purpose of this study is to understand design factors related with how attribution of the sharing culture is expressed in library spaces and examine how sharing infrastructure is established in users' spaces. As a research method, it initially conducted theoretical consideration of the sharing culture and information spaces, which can be regarded as sociocultural phenomena in modern times. Then, it drew sharing culture-based spatial design factors-access, openness and plurality. It analyzed configuration of spaces for sharing information-Cultural Commons (CC), Information Commons(IC) and Learning Commons (LC) - and infrastructure of information spaces, for library cases-five domestic and foreign public libraries-. The findings show that modern library spaces reflect historical needs for the sharing culture and actively serve their roles through spatial infrastructure including contents (programs) and services for sharing knowledge. The study is determined to be valuable as basic data in establishing the infrastructure of information spaces reflecting modern social trends and cultural phenomena, in expecting spatial structures in which knowledge is reproduced and planning spaces of libraries in the future.

Promoting barrier-free living environments is necessary in residential facilities on which senior citizens rely most of their lives. Safety of elder people can be reassured by a certification system based on the existing barrier-free certification program in public facilities. The range of certification does not cover all living area, but is limited to the bathroom, which is a sanitary space. Given the nature of BIM modeling, an existing multi-family building was selected and modeled, as the certification process requires all the necessary information and various viewport. BIM modeling of the bathroom was conducted in accordance with the requirements of the certification for barrier-free living environment. The results suggested that there is a need for a removal of thresholds, larger doors, better selection of finishing materials, sufficient room for a wheelchair, larger space next to the toilet, and the availability of an emergency bell and grab bars. Such information supports the potentials of BIM modeling, and it is expected that an automated certification system would be established in the foreseeable future.

This study is on the concept of Gunter Behnisch' s 'Situationsarchitektur'. Gunter Behnisch is known as the architect who have produced astonishing variety of different types of buildings since 1950s. His works always reflect his changing major concerns of architecture, which varied through his career such as flexibility and serial production in the 1960s, politics and place in the 1970s and 80s, and ecological issues in 90s and afterward. Behnisch says that the goal of architects' work is not so much the building as the situation to be created, and only such measures should be taken as in fortunate cases strengthen and give meaning to the situation that exists, or in less fortunate ones recreate it. The 'Situationsarchitektur' is realized through emphasizing transparency, humanity, public space, and open detail that could lead to a certain lightness and relaxedness in architecture not as an end in itself, but rather in the result. Architecture should be allowed to arise out of circumstances of use and construction, but form should not be imposed as a preconception. Also architecture should be strongly tied to time, space and local conditions. Behnisch tries to see the fundamentals of his work in such a way that subtlety and diversity develop of their own accord or are preserved as a reflection of a world.

The core of character and concept in an exhibition space of contemporary museum is that the place for relics and materials changes into the place for spectators, the static exhibition place changes into the dynamic exhibition place, and the place for learning naturally during amusement. In other words, it could convey the conceptual exhibition object which is not the material object called a relic, it could be a place where is to investigate, participate, experience and enjoy with easily method to general public, and ordinary people are supposed to experience with integrative the world of intellectual, cultural and artistic which is inconcionsly rising a dimensiov. In order to response positively the change of these exhibition concept itself, exhibition system will be established through the analysis of realistic exhibition objects with the visulatization of theme or thought of an exhibitiov. In process of conveying image, the effective and concrete exhibition method and technique should be measured in order to realize the communication between spectators and exhibition objects. The purpose of this study is to find the methodology which is enable to establish the exhibition theme and presentation system through the selection and analysis of exhibition objects in major cases of a musem of ecience and engneering, to find the process model till the methodology applies to the space scheme, and to find finally the designed indicators which is applicable to the progress of exhibition desigv.
