서울대학교 전파천문대 부근의 1.4GHz 대역 전파 환경 (1.4GHz-BAND RADIO INTERFERENCES AT SEOUL RADIO ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY)

  • We have carried out measurements of 1.2-1.6GHz radio interferences around Seoul Radio Astronomy Observatory located in the campus of Seoul National University. We received interference signals using a pyramidal horn antenna and measured its power using a spectrum analyzer with 1MHz resolution after $\~60dB$ amplification. In order to check the spatial characteristics, we made observations at every $30^{\circ}$ in azimuth at elevation of $30^{\circ}\;and\;60^{\circ}$. Also, in order to check the temporal characteristics, we repeated the all-sky observations five times at every six hours. The results may be summarized as follows: (1) There are strong $({\geq}-20dBm)$ interferences between 1.2 and 1.4GHz. Particularly strong interferences are observed at 1.271 and 1.281GHz, which have maximum powers of -0.34dBm and -0.56dBm, respectively. (2) The characteristics of the interferences do not depend strongly on directions, although the interferences are in general weak at high elevation and in east-west direction. (3) The interferences appear for a very short $(\leq0.01s)$ period of time, so that the average power is much smaller than the maximum power. Strong interferences with large $(\leq-49.0dBm)$ average power have been observed at 1.271, 1.281, 1.339, and 1.576GHz. At these frequencies, the interferences appear repeatedly with a period of $\leq0.1s$ By analyzing the observed power, we find that, for the strongest 1.271GHz interference, the average intensity is $-171dBW/m^2/Hz$ and that the maximum intensity is $-122dBW/m^2/Hz$. If this interference is delivered to the detector without any shielding, then its power would be much greater than the rms noise of a typical line spectrum. Therefore, it is important to shield all the parts of receiver carefully from radio interferences. Also, without appropriate shielding, the sensitivity of a receiver could be limited by the interference.

  • ILP 프로세서는 고성능을 유지하기 위해 정확한 분기예상 방법을 요구한다. Two-Level 분기예상 방법은 높은 분기예상 정확성을 갖는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나, 한 분기 명령이 다른 분기 명령에 의해 갱신된 PHT 엔트리를 사용할 때 간섭이 발생하며, 간섭 중 부정적 간섭은 잘못된 예상(misprediction)을 유발하여 성능에 부정적 영향을 주게 된다. Agree분기예상 방법에서는 BTB에 bias 비트를 추가하여 부정적 간섭을 긍정적 간섭으로 변환하여 예상 정확도를 높였으나, bios 비트를 잘못 설정하는 경우에는 오히려 부정적 간섭이 증가하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 부정적 간섭을 감소시키는 새로운 동적 분기예상 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 분기예상 방법은 수행시간에 bias 비트를 동적으로 변경시키기 위해 BTB의 엔트리에 hit 비트를 추가하였다. 그 결과 부정적 간섭을 효과적으로 감소시켜 예상 정확도를 향상시켰다. 제안된 방법의 효율성을 보여주기 위해, SPEC92int 벤치마크를 사용하여 성능을 평가한 결과, 제안된 방법이 기존의 방법보다 성능이 우수함을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we generalize the method to calculate the outage probability in the presence of multiple rayleigh faded cochannel interferences and additive white Gaussian noise. Our result is a computational formula that can be applied with or without Gaussian noise in Rayleigh faded cochannel interferences. Without Gaussian noise, the situation degenerates to usual case of the cochannel interferences. The result can be appiled also in the presence of Gaussian noise with or without cochannel interferences.

Multicore Real-Time Scheduling to Reduce Inter-Thread Cache Interferences

  • The worst-case execution time (WCET) of each real-time task in multicore processors with shared caches can be significantly affected by inter-thread cache interferences. The worst-case inter-thread cache interferences are dependent on how tasks are scheduled to run on different cores. Therefore, there is a circular dependence between real-time task scheduling, the worst-case inter-thread cache interferences, and WCET in multicore processors, which is not the case for single-core processors. To address this challenging problem, we present an offline real-time scheduling approach for multicore processors by considering the worst-case inter-thread interferences on shared L2 caches. Our scheduling approach uses a greedy heuristic to generate safe schedules while minimizing the worst-case inter-thread shared L2 cache interferences and WCET. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach can reduce the utilization of the resulting schedule by about 12% on average compared to the cyclic multicore scheduling approaches in our theoretical model. Our evaluation indicates that the enhanced scheduling approach is more likely to generate feasible and safe schedules with stricter timing constraints in multicore real-time systems.

상관관계가 있는 간섭신호를 위한 고유벡터 제한 MV 빔형성 기법 (Eigen-constraint minimum variance beamformer for correlated interferences)

  • 상관관계가 있는 간섭신호가 존재하는 경우, 다양한 빔형성 기법들은 어레이 출력 파워를 최소화하기 위해서 목적신호까지 제거하는 현상이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 상관관계가 있는 간섭신호에 의한 신호 제거 문제를 해결하는 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 기존에 제시된 상관 간섭신호의 제거 기법들 대신 제안된 빔형성 지법은 상관 간섭신호를 또 다른 목적신호로 간주하여 코히어런트하게 간섭신호들을 더해준다. 제안된 기법은 고유벡터 제한을 이용하여 잡음과 상관관계가 없는 간섭신호를 제거하고, 목적신호와 상관 간섭신호는 유지하도록 한다. 고유벡터 제한 MV 빔형성 기법은 상관 간섭신호에 대한 어떤 사전정보론 필요로 하지 않는다는 장점이 있다. 모의 실험에 의해 상관 간섭신호가 존재하는 경우 제안된 기법은 어레이 출력의 신호 대 잡음비가 개선하여 목적신호 제거 문제를 해결할 수 있음을 보여준다.

S-DMB 수신기에서 UWB 시스템 간섭 분석 (Analysis of UWB Interferences in a S-DMB Receiver)

  • 본 논문에서는 S-DMB(Satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) 수신기 에 인접 한 UWB 기기로부터의 방사전력이 S-DMB 수신기에 미치는 간섭 영향을 분석한다. 우선 S-DMB 수신기의 사양에 맞추어 C/N$_{o}$을 유도한 후 ITU-R에서 권고한 S-DMB 수신부의 C/(N$_{o}$+I)와 I/N$_{o}$의 관점에서 UWB 간섭을 이론적으로 분석한다. 분석 결과에 입각해서 수신기가 간섭을 받지 않는 이격거리를 유도하고 또한 최소 이격거리(1 m로 가정)에서 간섭을 받지 않을 수 있는 UWB 방사 전력 한도를 제시하고 FCC 권고값과 비교한다

2K-H형 유성기어장치의 효율해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficiency Analysis of 2K-H Type Planetary Gear Train)

  • The analysis of interference and efficiency are important phases in the design of planetary gear train. Because most planetary gear trains contain internal gear called ring gear, interferences between ring gear and planet gear should be analyzed in the step of design and manufacturing. Addendum modification coefficient, pressure angle, speed ratio between ring gear and sun gear are governing factors for interferences. In this paper, the interferences of 2K-H I type planetary gear train based on various planetary gear trains are studied. As that results, the ranges of addendum modification coefficients which would not lead to interferences is analyzed. Based on these ranges, theoretical efficiencies are investigated as 6 configurations of 2K-H I type planetary gear train, which is based on basic efficiency, and optimal addendum modification coefficients which generate the maximum efficiency of planetary gear train are presented. To prove results of theoretical efficiency analysis, experimentations are performed.

개선된 Weighted Spatial Smoothing에 의한 코히런트 및 인코히런트 간섭제거 (Cancellation of Coherent and Incoherent Interferences By Improved Weighted Spatial Smoothing)

  • Coherent interferences can be rejected using the weighted spatial smoothing (WSS) technique that allows us to be able to completely decorrrelate coherent signals with their arrival angles known. Its effective array aperture, however, can be greatly decreased, in particular when there exist many interferences, thereby degrading the rejection capability. In this paper, we propose an improved spatial smoothing (IWSS) which, with an increased effective array aperture, provides better performance than the existing WSS. Moreover, the proposed beamformer employs multiple constraints so that the coherent interferences are completely cancelled. Simulation shows the superiority of the IWSS in comparison with the conventional WSS.

  • 본 논문은 여러 가지 형상의 접지시스템에서 접지전극 상호간의 전위간섭에 대해 다루었다. 접지전극의 일정한 형상과 크기, 접지전극간 이격거리에 따른 전위상승과 전위간섭계수를 수조실험장치를 이용하여 측정하고, CDEGS 프로그램으로 해석하였다. 전위상승과 전위간섭계수는 접지전극의 이격거리, 접지전극의 형상과 크기에 강하게 의존한다. 격자형 접지전극과 격자형 접지전극 사이의 전위간섭은 격자형 접지전극과 봉형 접지전극 사이의 전위간섭보다 낮은 것으로 나타났다.

An Adaptive Narrowband Interference Excision Filter with Low Signal Loss for GPS Receivers

  • As the low power GPS signal is susceptible to interference, interference can seriously degrade the performance of GPS receiver. This paper designs a ANIEF(Adaptive Narrowband Interference Excision in Frequency domain) filter that removes narrow band interferences with low signal loss. This filter uses the pre-correlation technique and attempts to filter out the interference in the frequency domain. The interference excision performance of the designed filter is evaluated for various interferences using the ANIEF filter inserted GPS software receiver and the interference generator. Interferences considered in this paper are single-tone CWI(Continuous Wave Interference), multi-tones CWI, pulsed CWI, and swept CWI. The narrowband interference excision filter in frequency domain is very effective against various interferences and the strong interference with a simple structure. However, the signal power loss is unavoidable while transforming. In this paper, the hamming window and overlap technique are adopted to reduce the signal power loss. Finally, the interference excision performance and the reduced signal power loss of the ANIEF filter are shown.
