액상 Au-Sn 솔더와 Ni 기판의 계면현상에 대한 고찰 (Interfacial Microstructure Evolution between Liquid Au-Sn Solder and Ni Substrate)

  • 공정 Au-20Sn 솔더합금을 솔더링 시간과 온도를 달리하여 Ni위에서 솔더링하였다. 주사전자현미경 (SEM)을 사용하여 계면에 생성된 IMC의 조성, 상, 모양에 대해 조사하였다. 계면에는 $(Au,Ni)_3Sn_2$$(Au,Ni)_3Sn_2$의 두 가지 IMC가 생성되었다. 그 중 첫 번째 생성된 IMC인 $(Au,Ni)_3Sn_2$상은 솔더링 온도에 따라 모양의 변화가 관찰되었다. 이러한 모양의 변화로 인한 확산통로수의 변화는 모든 솔더링 온도에서 거의 비슷한 IMC 두께를 가지도록 한다. IMC, $(Au,Ni)_3Sn_2$상의 모양변화는 온도 증가에 의한 생성엔탈피의 감소 때문인데, 이는 Jackson's parameter로써 잘 설명될 수 있다.

Feature extraction and Classification of EEG for BCI system

  • EEC is an electrical signal, which occurs during information processing in the brain. These EEG signals has been used clinically, but nowadays we are mainly studying Brain-Computer Interface(BCI) such as interfacing with a computer through the EEG controlling the machine through the EEG The ultimate purpose of BCI study is specifying the EEG at various mental states so as to control the computer and machine. A BCI has to perform two tasks, the parameter estimation task, which attemps to describe the properties of the EEG signal and the classification task, which separates the different EEC patterns based on the estimated parameters. First, we have to do parameter estimation of EEG to embody BCI system. It is important to improve performance of classifier, But, It is not easy to do parameter estimation by reason of EEG is sensitivity and undergo various influences. Therefore, this research should do parameter estimation and classification of the EEG to use various analysis algorithm.

A DUAL ITERATIVE SUBSTRUCTURING METHOD WITH A SMALL PENALTY PARAMETER

  • A dual substructuring method with a penalty term was introduced in the previous works by the authors, which is a variant of the FETI-DP method. The proposed method imposes the continuity not only by using Lagrange multipliers but also by adding a penalty term which consists of a positive penalty parameter ${\eta}$ and a measure of the jump across the interface. Due to the penalty term, the proposed iterative method has a better convergence property than the standard FETI-DP method in the sense that the condition number of the resulting dual problem is bounded by a constant independent of the subdomain size and the mesh size. In this paper, a further study for a dual iterative substructuring method with a penalty term is discussed in terms of its convergence analysis. We provide an improved estimate of the condition number which shows the relationship between the condition number and ${\eta}$ as well as a close spectral connection of the proposed method with the FETI-DP method. As a result, a choice of a moderately small penalty parameter is guaranteed.

A Structure of Personalized e-Learning System Using On/Off-line Mixed Estimations Based on Multiple-Choice Items

  • In this paper, we present a structure of personalized e-Learning system to study for a test formalized by uniform multiple-choice using on/off line mixed estimations as is the case of Driver :s License Test in Korea. Using the system a candidate can study toward the license through the Internet (and/or mobile instruments) within the personalized concept based on IRT(item response theory). The system accurately estimates user's ability parameter and dynamically offers optimal evaluation problems and learning contents according to the estimated ability so that the user can take possession of the license in shorter time. In order to establish the personalized e-Learning concepts, we build up 3 databases and 2 agents in this system. Content DB maintains learning contents for studying toward the license as the shape of objects separated by concept-unit. Item-bank DB manages items with their parameters such as difficulties, discriminations, and guessing factors, which are firmly related to the learning contents in Content DB through the concept of object parameters. User profile DB maintains users' status information, item responses, and ability parameters. With these DB formations, Interface agent processes user ID, password, status information, and various queries generated by learners. In addition, it hooks up user's item response with Selection & Feedback agent. On the other hand, Selection & Feedback agent offers problems and content objects according to the corresponding user's ability parameter, and re-estimates the ability parameter to activate dynamic personalized learning situation and so forth.

단일 성분 고분자 나노 계면의 도입을 통한 블락 고분자 박막의 나노 구조 배향 조절 (Orientational Control of Nano Structures from Block Copolymer Using Homo-Polymer Nano Interface)

  • 블락 고분자 박막과 기판 사이의 계면에 1 nm 두께의 얇은 단일 성분 고분자 나노 계면을 도입함으로써 블락 고분자 나노 구조의 배향을 조절하는 연구가 수행되었다. Polystyrene-block-poly (methyl methacrylate) (PS-b-PMMA) 블락 고분자 박막의 나노 구조를 조절하기 위하여 블락 고분자의 각각의 고분자들의 평균 조성을 가지며 한쪽 끝에 히드록시 기를 가지는 단일 성분 고분자인 폴리(4-아세톡시스티렌) (OH-PAS)과 폴리(4-메톡시스티렌) (OH-PMS)를 나이트록사이드를 이용한 라디칼 중합법(nitroxide-mediated radical polymerization, NMP)을 사용하여 성공적으로 합성하였다. 실리콘 웨이퍼 표면과 저압 탈수 반응을 통하여 OH-PAS와 OH-PMS 두 개의 고분자를 성공적으로 표면에 공유결합 하였으며 생성된 두 고분자가 결합된 1 nm 두께의 계면 위에 PS-b-PMMA 블락 고분자 박막을 도포하여 그 나노 구조의 배향을 분석하였다. OH-PMS를 사용하여 제작된 계면의 경우 블락 고분자에 대하여 약 30%의 수직 배향을 보여주었고 OH-PAS를 사용하여 제작된 계면의 경우 수직 배향을 전혀 보여주지 않았고 오직 수평 배향만을 보여주었다. 결과적으로 계면의 화학적 조성을 정밀하게 조절하는 것이 블락 고분자 박막의 나노 구조 배향을 조절하는 데 가장 중요한 요소라고 고려된다.

TWO-LAYER MUTI-PARAMETERIZED SCHWARZ ALTERNATING METHOD FOR TWO-DIMENSIONAL PROBLEMS

  • The convergence rate of a numerical procedure based on Schwarz Alternating Method(SAM) for solving elliptic boundary value problems depends on the selection of the interface conditions applied on the interior boundaries of the overlapping subdomains. It has been observed that the mixed interface condition, controlled by a parameter, can optimize SAM's convergence rate. In [8], one introduced the two-layer multi-parameterized SAM and determined the optimal values of the multi-parameters to produce the best convergence rate for one-dimensional elliptic boundary value problems. In this paper, we present a method which utilizes the one-dimensional result to get the optimal convergence rate for the two-dimensional problem.

Numerical analysis of interface crack problem in composite plates jointed with composite patch

  • Stress intensity factors are numerically investigated for interfacial edge crack between two dissimilar composite plates jointed with single side composite patch. Variation of stress intensity factor under Mode I loading condition is examined for different material models and fiber orientation angles of composite plates and patch. ANSYS 12.1 finite element analysis software is used to obtain displacements of crack surfaces in the numerical solution and repaired plates are modeled in three dimensions. Obtained results are presented in the form of graphs. It is found that fiber orientation angle of composites is an effective parameter on interfacial stress intensity factor.

Two-dimensional implementation was presented in [10]. In this paper, we present an implementation for threedimensional problem.

  • Recently, attempts have been made to be join ceramics to metals in order to make up for the brittleness of ceramics. The difference in the coefficients of linear expansion of the two materials joined at high temperature will cause residual stress, which has a strong influence on the strength of the bonded joints. In this paper, the residual stress distribution and stress intensity factors of the ceramic/metal bonded joints were analyzed by 2-dimensional elastic boundary element method. Fracture toughness tests of ceramic/metal bonded joints with an interface crack were carried out. So the advanced method of quantitative strength evaluation for ceramic/metal bonded joints is to be suggested. Fracture surface and crack propagation path were observed using scanning electron microscope.

  • In this study, PC-based slicing machine and driving software were constructed for the purpose of automation of semi-conductor cutting process. The biggest feature of software is variation of parameter and include data base, signal monitoring, error report, corresponding action or automatic motion planing. Parameters were drawn and algorithms were developed to make software by GUI interface. The cutting experiment was done for sampled wafer to see the effectiveness of the soft automation. From the experimented and implemented results, it is shown that parameters for automation of slicing process could be drawn, then its algorithms constructed. It could be considered what is the merit of this slicing machine by comparing the PC-based and the NC-based.
