  • With recent development of speech recognition technology and multimedia computer systems, more potential applications of voice will become a reality. In this paper, we implement speech interface on the windows95 environment for practical use fo multimedia computers with voice. Speech interface is made up of three modules, that is, speech input and detection module, speech recognition module, and application module. The speech input and etection module handles th elow-level audio service of win32 API to input speech data on real time. The recognition module processes the incoming speech data, and then recognizes the spoken command. DTW pattern matching method is used for speech recognition. The application module executes the voice command properly on PC. Each module of the speech interface is designed and examined on windows95 environments. Implemented speech interface and experimental results are explained and discussed.

  • This study is aimed at developing of the sustainable interface module for structural design. It is dealt with the Midas/Gen for analysis and design and Tekla Structures for Building Information Modeling. In this research, it is improved the applicability and function of the existing interface module developed by authors. Although model information was functionally well linked by the existing module in both directions, the applicability is limited due to the difference of attributes between structural analysis model and structural detail model. In this study, we analyzed the problems that occur in existing module. We have developed the interface module to solve the problems and improved the applicability of the existing module.

  • This paper describes a study on the automatic generation system of the interface for communication among AMBA bus and IPs with different protocols. Employing an extended STG, the proposed system generates the interface modules required for the communication among IPs with different protocols. For an example system, the interface module for communication between AMBA AHB bus and a video decoder has been generated and verified in its functionality. The area and latency have been compared with the manually designed interface. For burst-mode communication, the generated interface module shows the comparable performance with the manually designed module. For single-mode communication, the generated interface module shows a slightly worse performance than the manually designed module. However, the increased area is negligible considering the size of the IP.

  • Modular technology has become a major issue of the construction industries to enhance their productivity. Modular bridge construction generally requires the data exchange between the contractors, designers, fabricators and constructors. Therefore, a readily accessible information model interface module based on BIM technology is essential for their communication during a project life-cycle. In this study, BIM based information model interface module for a modular pier was developed. For the information models, the PBS(Product Breakdown Structure) and LOD(Level of Development) were defined. Next, all components of a modular pier were conducted by the parametric modeling technique, and then 3D cell library interface was developed. An nterface module was also developed using VBA(Visua basic Application) for exchanging a data from 3D model library to other softwares such as Microstation, AutoCad and Excel and was connected with MS Access database. The developed information model interface module would improve the design quality of the modular pier and reduce the time and cost for design. Updated 3D information models could be utilized for the fabrication, assembly, and construction process for modular piers.

  • This study is aimed at developing the structural design interface module for the brace connections in order to improve the efficiency of the interoperability between structural design and BIM modeling at the construction design phase of steel structures. For this purpose, structural design module is first established according to the algorithm built by structural design standards of domestic and foreign. Then, it is developed interface module which can export the data of 3D model obtained from the BIM design tools to structural design module and feed structural design results back to 3D BIM model. Finally, the efficiency and practicality of the developed interface module is verified by applying to a sample model.

  • Intelligent Tutoring System is composed of tutoring module, student module and expert module. Among the modules, interface module is the most closely related to students and shares the biggest part of a learning system. Interface module is important for students both in e-learning system but also in intelligent tutoring system. But research on the improvement of interface hasn't been actively done. It studied the interface improvement that has very close relation to e-Learning students. It studied the main components of the existing interface and designed multimedia interface to correct the problems of previous researches. It also suggested the method to relate it to the intelligent tutoring system.

The first, leakage current sensing module of SoC type under consideration of electromagnetic interface is developed, and the developed sensing module of SoC type is composed of leakage sensing part, power supply part, interface part, communication part, AD(Alternating current to Direct current)convert part and amplification part. And also the electromagnetic compatibility is evaluated by conduction and radiation of EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) for developed sensing module. The developed system can have confidence, stability and do energy saving under mixed electric circumstance of the low voltage communication device and high voltage equipment. The second, the real time remote monitoring system is developed using designed wire and wireless communication module with leakage current sensing module of SoC type. The developed real time remote monitoring system can monitor sensing state, occurrence state of leakage current and alarm for each step etc.. And the device configuration, PCB layout for leakage current sensing module of system on chip type and the experiment configuration in consideration of EMI are presented. Also the measurement results of conduction and radiation for EMI are presented.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the method to develop IFC interface module with less time and effort, which can support the IFC-based data exchange of building structures. The core of the IFC interface module is that 1) the physical and conceptual objects well suited to the knowledge and experience of the building structures are exploited and 2) no in-depth knowledge about IFC is required. The proposed method is to 1) divide the IFC interface module into public part open to the external applications and the supporting private part, 2) reorganize the IFC entities related to the building structures into the public part, and 3) reorganize the other IFC entities into the private part. In this study, the IFC interface module was developed and then verified by the application of the module to visualization, member listing, quantity take-off and interface to Tekla of an IFC file.

  • In this paper, we describe the structure and the test results of a Bluetooth baseband module we have developed. The module has a distributed buffer, i.e. FIFO, for data stream. Bus interface of the module is designed on the basis of interface of microprocessor widely used and the external interface is designed to consider chips connected directly. Since the module performs as many hardware efficient tasks as possible, processing load of microprocessor is very small. It can also be controlled either by software or by hardware for flexibility. The fully synthesizable baseband module was fabricated in a $0.25\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology occupying $2.79\times2.8{\textrm{mm}^2}$ area. And an FPGA implementation of this module is tested for file and bit-stream transfers between PCs.
