  • Mobile network is used by many users worldwide for diverse services, including phone-call, messaging and data transfer over the Internet. However, this network may experience massive damage if it is exposed to cyber-attacks or denial-of-service attacks via wireless communication interference. Because the mobile network is also used as an emergency network in cases of disaster, evaluation or verification for security and safety is necessary as an important nation-wide asset. However, it is not easy to analyze the mobile core network because it's built and serviced by private service providers, exclusively operated, and there is even no separate network for testing. Thus, in this paper, a virtual mobile network is built using OpenAirInterface, which is implemented based on 3GPP standards and provided as an open source software, and the structure and protocols of the core network are analyzed. In particular, the S1AP protocol messages captured on S1-MME, the interface between the base station eNodeB and the mobility manager MME, are analyzed to identify potential security threats by evaluating the effect of the messages sent from the user terminal UE to the mobile core network.

  • In order to meet increasingly complex and rigorous technical specifications, extensive effort has been devoted to fabricate clad materials with multi-layered metal plates. In this study, novel stainless steel/aluminum/copper (STS/Al/Cu) three-ply clad materials were fabricated by a hot rolling process for cookware applications. The effect of the testing temperature on the mechanical properties of the clad materials and on each component metal was investigated during the tensile tests. The interface properties of the clad materials were also examined by optical microscopy (OM) and an electron probe micro-analyzer (EPMA). The best mechanical and interfacial properties for a warm working process were found in a sample annealed at a temperature of $300^{\circ}C$. For the sample annealed at $400^{\circ}C$, the results of the tensile test indicated that interface delamination occurred only in the region of the Al/Cu interfaces. This was due to the formation of the thick and brittle intermetallic compound of $Al_2Cu$ in the Al/Cu interface. In contrast, no interface delamination was observed in the STS/Al interface, most likely due to its strong bond strength.

  • The digital map computer for advanced air vehicles (AAV) must be high-performance, lightweight, portable, and modular. It should receive data on terrain, weather, and obstacles from external modules to display digital maps accurately. This necessitates robust communication capabilities with external devices via an Ethernet interface and the ability to output digital map visuals clearly through an high-defintion multimedia Interface (HDMI) or digital visual interface (DVI) interface. This paper presents the design of both hardware and software architecture that fulfills these critical requirements for an AAV digital map system. Additionally, it establishes the minimum specifications needed and verifies the suitability of the designed digital map computer through rigorous performance measurements and testing. By ensuring these standards, the digital map computer can reliably support the complex navigational needs of AAV, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.

  • As the thin film technology has emerged in various fields, adhesion of the film interface becomes an important issue in terms of the longevity and durability of thin film devices. Diverse nondestructive methods utilizing acoustic techniques have been developed to assess the interfacial integrity. As an effective technique based on the ultrasonic wave focusing and the surface acoustic wave(SAW) generation, scanning acoustic microscopy(SAM) has been investigated for adhesion evaluation. Visualization of film microstructures and quantification of adhesion weakness levels by SAW dispersion are the recent achievements of SAM. To overcome the limitations in the theoretical dispersion model only suitable for perfectly elastic and isotropic materials, a new model has been more recently developed in consideration of film anisotropy and viscoelasticity and applied to the adhesion evaluation of polymeric films fabricated on semiconductive wafers.

  • The purpose of this study was to assess comparatively the shear bond strength on dentin of four dentin bonding agents used in conjunction with light-curing composite resins. Clearfil New Bond, Scotchbond Multipurpose Dentin Adhesive, All-Bond 2 and X-R Bond were applicated on labial dentin surfaces just below dentin - enamel juction of bovine incisor teeth. After shear bond strength testing with the universal testing machine, the bonding interface of the specimens were observed under light stereomicroscope. Following results were obtained. 1. The shear bond strength was high in the order of B,C,D,A and group B Scotchbond Multipurpose Dentine Adhesive revealed greater bond strength than Clearfil New Bond and X-R Bond. (p<.001) 2. When using ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test, there were statistical differences among the four groups, except between group Band C,group D and A. 3. There was no relationship between mode of failure and shear bond strength.

  • The reliability, that is Long-Term Quality, require an approaching different from Short-Term Quality which is used before. As the electronic components are able to be easily normalized on the reliability testing, various testing standards are used. In this study, we proposed two reliability simulator that is PoF(Physics of Failure)-based and failure rate models-based. PoF-based simulator is introduced based on CalceEP program that is created by University of Maryland. This simulator can be modified by user interface of properties and PoF models and operated on stand alone system. Failure rate models-based simulator introduced according to analyzing reliability prediction documents. Also, unified database including failure data models is built from existing MIL-HDBK-217F N2, PRISM, and Bellcore, and web-based simulator is developed. The developed reliability simulator will service of the PoF model, properties, failure rate model accumulated and its data by web and internet.

  • This paper presents a novel approach for Lamb wave based structural health monitoring(SHM) in honeycomb aluminum panels. In this study, a suite of three signal processing algorithms are employed to improve the damage detection capability. The signal processing algorithms used include wavelet attenuation, correlation coefficients of power density spectra, and triangulation of reflected waves. Piezoelectric transducers are utilized as both sensors and actuators for Lamb wave propagation. These SHM algorithms are built into a MatLab interface that integrates and automates the hardware and software operations and displays the results for each algorithm to the analyst for side by side comparison. The effectiveness of each of these signal processing algorithms for SHM in honeycomb aluminum panels under a variety of damage conditions is then demonstrated.

  • As the requirement of user for robot functionality, the function and interface for controlling the robot system is more sophisticated and complicated. Accordingly development process of robot is more complicated and it takes much longer time to develop a robot system. Software development using project management tool is more important in software engineering because of the complexity of software, especially robot system. This paper proposes SEED (Software Engineering Equipment for Development), which is a web-based and integrated software engineering tool to provide independent tools for robot software development. SEED includes the document management tool, the software configuration management tool, the software testing tool on developing robot software and provide a functionality of collaborated and remote development due to WEB-based operations.

  • One approach to testing the suitability of an adhesive joint for a particular application is to build and test to destruction a representativc, sample of the joini. The noncdestructive test will not measure strength directly but will measure a parameter which can be correlated to strength. It is thercforc, essential that a suitable nondestructive rest is chosen and that its results are correctly intcrpreted. In this paper, typical Ultrasonic Signal Analysis in adhesive joints are cvaluatcci together with Interface Stress from the result of Finite Elenlent Method.
