  • This paper introduces a graphical user interface design that is aimed to apply to the surveillance and security robot, which is the pilot program for the army unmanned light combat vehicle. It is essential to consider the activities of robot users under the changing security environment in order to design the efficient graphical user interface between user and robot to accomplish the designated mission. The proposed design approach firstly identifies the user activities to accomplish the mission in the standardized scenarios of military surveillance and security operation and then develops the hierarchy of the interface elements that are required to execute the tasks in the surveillance and security scenarios. The developed graphical user interface includes input control component, navigation component, information display component, and accordion and verified by the potential users from the various skilled levels with the military background. The assessment said that the newly developed user interface includes all the critical elements to execute the mission and is simpler and more intuitive compared to the legacy interface design that was more focused on the technical and functional information and informative to the system developing engineers rather than field users.

  • Because the specific security technology alone can not cope with sophisticated attacks, various security management models are applied. But, they do not focus on the vulnerability of the highest part because they offer so many common security management criteria. By analyzing the main information and confidential leakage cases inflicting enormous damage to our society, we found that attackers are using mainly an interface vulnerabilities - the paths that connect the internal and external of the organization, such as e-mail, web server, portable devices, and subcontractor employees. Considering the reality that time and resources to invest in security domain are limited, we point out the interface security vulnerabilities the possibility of attackers to exploit and present a convergence method of security measures. Finally, based of ROI(Return on Investment), we propose the real-time security management system through the intensive and continuous management.

  • There are many security problems with Electronic Commerce since insecure public networks, especially Internet, are used. Therefore, for implementing secure Electronic Commerce, CAPI(Cryptographic Application Programming Interfaces) is expected to use various form of security applications. The Cryptographic Application Programming Interface supports cryptographic services for each level and various security services. The CSSM API(Common Security Service Management Application Programming Interface) Provides modularity, simplicity, and extensibility in terms of various add-in modules and interfaces in contract to other CAPIs. This paper proposed an applying method of CSSM API having various extensibility and supporting multi-platforms to Electronic Commerce. we describe encryption, digital signature operation of CSSM API's CSP interface and evaluate secureness by matching relation of theratening factors to security services.

  • In this paper, we want to solve the problems that users want to search the progress of attack, continuity of attack, association between attackers and victims, blocking priority and countermeasures by using visualization interface with multi-rotational axis and radial axis structure. It is possible to effectively monitor and track security events by arranging a time series event based on a multi-rotational axis structured by an event generation order, a subject of an event, an event type, and an emission axis, which is an objective time indicating progress of individual events. The proposed interface is a practical visualization interface that can apply attack blocking and defense measures by providing the progress and progress of the whole attack, the details and continuity of individual attacks, and the relationship between attacker and victim in one screen.

  • In this paper, a method to identify components per unit task system is expressed with node, module, and interface. We define security subject per unit task system and explain node, module, and interface per component. According to the defined security standard in design phase, we also perform to design and elaborate security attributes for node and module as identified security subjects in their defined tables. And then we describe the composition standard for security attribute design with some examples, after classifying it into security subject, access subject, access control area, identification or verification area, and encryption.

  • Most of the sources of security and privacy issues in RFID technology arise from the violation of the air interface between a tag and its read. Most of the sources of security and privacy issues in RFID technology arise from the violation of the air interface between a tag and its reader. This paper will approach consideration of security analysis with cryptographic primitive based on hardware basis.

  • IMT-2000 mobile system will serve many application services such as mobile internet, wireless electronics commerce applications using high data rate air interface. These applications require high data integrity, data confidentiality, user authentication, user identity confidentiality and non-repudiation. In this study, we analyze air interface performance fur network access security services in IMT-2000 mobile systems. Signal traffic for network access security services increase all link between IMT-2000 system elements. Our study focus on air interface, which is very sensitive signal traffic increase.

  • This paper describes a passive SID sensor tag that provide physical security functions based on a sensor interface module. It elementarily consists of a serial I/O interface, control module, and sensor module. In this paper, it show tamper-proof security functions by comparison and encryption with the sensor signal data using the physical resistors. The passive SID sensor tag can be realized by the real time management for the safety, forgery, and so on. The proposed SID tag embedded with a sensor module is expected to find wide physical security applications.

  • We propose the PBSM(Protocol-Based Security Module) system which guarantees the secure data transmission under web environments. There are two modules in the PBSM architecture. One is Web Server Security Module(WSSM) which is working on a web server, the other is the Winsock Client Security Module(WSCSM) which is working on a client. The WSCSM security module decrypts the encrypted HTML document that is received from the security web server. The decrypted HTML document is displayed on the screen of a client. The WSSM module contains the encryption function for HTML file and the decryption function for CGI(Common Gateway Interface). The formal analysis methodology is imported from format theory for analyzing the data flow of the PBSM system. The formal analysis methodology is based on the order theory.

  • The design functionality put forward by mapping the interactiveness of information. The presentation of such information with the user interface model indicates that the guidelines, concepts, and workflows form the deliverables and milestones for achieving a visualized design, therefore forming the right trend is significant to ensure compliance in terms of changing consideration and applying evaluation in the early stages. It is evidenced that prototype design is guided by improvement specifications, includes modes, and variables that increase improvements. The study presents five user interface testing methods. The testing methods are heuristic evaluation, perspective-based user interface testing, cognitive walkthrough, pluralistic walkthrough, and formal usability inspection. It appears that the five testing methods can be combined and matched to produce reasonable results. At last, the study presents different mobile application designs for student projects besides the evaluation of mobile application designs to consider the user needs and usability.
