Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of ego-resiliency and self-efficacy on paramedic students in J province. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 465 paramedic students from the J area recruited from September 25 to October 10, 2017. The questionnaire included general characteristics, ego-resiliency, self-efficacy, and satisfaction with their choice of the major subject. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlations, and a multiple regression analysis. Results: As ego-resiliency and self-efficacy increased, satisfaction with their majoring subject also increased. Senior students had higher satisfaction than freshmen in relation to general characteristics. Students having 'interest in their major' owing to personal motivation of choice of major, had higher satisfaction than those having 'suggestion from other'. It is necessary to find a way to increase satisfaction of major and to inspire ego-resiliency and self-efficacy. Conclusion: Future studies should investigate ways to increase major satisfaction toward paramedics and to enhance their ego-resiliency and self-efficacy.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to analyze public and researcher interests in suicide and related illnesses and acupuncture and acupressure treatment using Google Trends and some electronic databases. Methods: Search results for keywords "suicide," "acupuncture," "acupressure," and several illnesses related to suicide were analyzed in Google Trends from January 2004 to June 2023. Illnesses included anxiety, depression (including major depressive disorder), schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorder (including anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa), substance use disorder, autism spectrum disorder, personality disorder (including borderline person- ality disorder), and chronic pain. Search results were extracted using relative search volume (RSV) scores between 0 and 100. Search terms were also searched in online databases, including PubMed, CNKI, and OASIS, to estimate the number of related studies, and descriptive analysis was conducted. Results: Google Trends analysis showed a strong positive correlation between the RSVs of "suicide and depression," "acupuncture and chronic pain," and "acupressure and PTSD." The electronic database search results produced numerous studies published on "suicide and depression," "acupuncture and depression," and "acupressure and anxiety." High interest in "suicide and depression," "acupuncture and chronic pain," and "acupressure and anxiety" was seen among the public and researchers. Interest in "suicide and chronic pain," "acupuncture and eating disorder," and "acupressure and PTSD" was higher in the public than among researchers, while "anxiety and suicide" and "anxiety and acu- puncture" showed opposite trends. Conclusions: The results of this research enable an understanding of public and researcher interest in suicide, acupuncture, acupressure, and suicide-related illnesses. The results also provide a basis for fu- ture research and examining public health implications in Korean medicine.

In this study, we tried to analyze the characteristics of color cosmetics information search and the major information of interest in the color cosmetics market after COVID-19 shown in the text mining analysis results by collecting data on online interest information of consumers in the color cosmetics market after COVID-19. In the empirical analysis, text mining was performed on all documents such as news, blogs, cafes, and web pages, including the word "color cosmetics". As a result of the analysis, online information searches for color cosmetics after COVID-19 were mainly focused on purchase information, information on skin and mask-related makeup methods, and major topics such as interest brands and event information. As a result, post-COVID-19 color cosmetics buyers will become more sensitive to purchase information such as product value, safety, price benefits, and store information through active online information search, so a response strategy is required.
The purpose of this study was to make a comparative analysis of nursing students interest in health matters concerning themselves and compare it to non-nursing students. The results were to be categorized and used as health content recommendation when organizing health curriculum and planning health education programmes. The instruments used this study were 'The Health Inventory and The Health Need Inventory introduced to 80 items from 125 items by Lee in Korea(1980). There was a very high correlation between the 125 items and condensed 80 items (r=0.9508, t=11.0643. p<.001). The convenience sample was chosen from 226 nursing students and 204 non-nursing students in the departments of humanities of college in Inchun and Ansan from March 4 to April 5. 1996. Data were analyzed by the SAS computer Program. The results are as follow: When comparing health interest of nursing student group with non-nursing student group, total group mean of nursing students was significantly higher than that of non-nursing students (t=2.977 p<.01). But the rank order of the nursing student group was similar to that of the non-nursing group. and what nursing student felt interested was coincident with what non-nursing students felt as being necessary. The most interested health area between nursing student and non-nursing students were ${\ulcorner$personal hygiene & grooming${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$weight control${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner$sex education${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$mental health${\lrcorner}$. On the other hand the least interested health areas were. ${\ulcorner$smoking and health${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$alcohol and health${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner$drug and narcotics${\lrcorner}$ In non -nursing students but in nursing students ${\ulcorner$structure and function of body${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner$dental health${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$safety${\lrcorner}$. Comparing students health interest by major In college, total group mean of nursing students is significantly higher than that of non-nursing students in 14 health areas including ${\ulcorner$community health${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner$control and prevention disease${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$consumer health${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$family health${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$mental health${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$personal hygiene and grooming${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$safety${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$structure and function of body${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner$sex education${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$alcohol and health ${\lrcorner}$${\ulcorner$ drug and narcotics${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner$smoking and health${\lrcorner}$ The following recommendations could be made considering the above mentioned factors: 1. The priority of health content should reflect the items to the highest interest area of students and highest need area of adults. 2. The health items which were significantly different in the area of health interest, by major, should be used in planning health education programmes and organizing health curricula.
This study analyzed the effects of science outdoor activity applying a Brain-Based Evolutionary (ABC-DEF) approach on elementary school students' interest and academic achievement. Samples of the study were composed of 3 classes of 67 sixth graders in Seoul, Korea. Unit of 'Ecosystem and Environment' was selected as a object of the research. Textbook- and teachers' guidebook-based instruction was implemented in comparison group, brain-based evolutionary approach within classroom in experimental group A, and science outdoor learning by a brain-based evolutionary approach in experimental group B. In order to analyze the quantitative differences of students' interests and achievements, three tests of 'General Science Attitudes', 'Applied Unit-Related Interests', and 'Applied Unit-Related Achievement' were administered to the students. To find out the characteristics which would not be apparently revealed by quantitative tests, qualitative data such as portfolios, daily records of classroom work, and interview were also analyzed. The major results of the study are as follows. First, for post-test of interest, a statistically significant difference between comparison group and experimental group B was found. Especially, the 'interests about biology learning' factor, when analyzed by each item, was significant in two questions. Results of interviews the students showed that whether the presence or absence of outdoor learning experience influenced most on their interests about the topic. Second, for post-test of achievement, the difference among 3 groups according to high, middle, and low levels of post-interest was not statistically significant, but the groups of higher scores in post-interest tends to have higher scores in post-achievement. It can be inferred that outdoor learning by a brain-based evolutionary approach increases students' situational interests about leaning topic. On the basis of the results, the implications for the research in science education and the teaching and learning in school are discussed.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the fashion shop display on the clothing purchase made by the sample of 369 adult women living in Seoul area. In this study, the interest and the effect of the display are investigated through such factors of demographic variables as each individual's age, educational career, vocation, average family income a month, and marriage status. And the relationship is also examined between the person's interest paid on the display and the clothing attitude related variables of fashion follow tendency, individuality, and the way of practical economy. An additional examinations are performed in the first reactive factor to be considered at the time of the clothing purchase, and the interrelation between the discontent after purchase and the effect of display before purchase. The major findings of this research, thus, can be summarized as following: 1. Demographic variables of women reflect differences in their interests toward display and accordingly the variety of the display effect as well. Less interest and effect are caused by the effort of display for the women in their senior age. However, a group of the character women and young college women pay relatively more attention to the display and give more effect to the purchase. The examination shows alsp that the unmarried and better-off and better-educated are more sensitive to the effect of the display. 2. The higher is the individuality and the fashion follow tendency, the stronger revealed the interest in the display, while the economic women have less interest in it. 3. The first factor considered at the time of purchase is not absolutely affected significantly by the degree of the display effect in real purchasing act. 4. The discontent after purchase is not related with how much the degree of display effects in the act of real purchase.
In the nuclear safety studies, a new trend refers to the evaluation of uncertainties as a mandatory component of best-estimate safety analysis which is a modern and technically consistent approach being known as BEPU (Best Estimate Plus Uncertainty). The major objectives of this study consist in performing a study of uncertainties/sensitivities of the major analysis results for a generic CANDU 6 Nuclear Power Plant during Station Blackout (SBO) progression to understand and characterize the sources of uncertainties and their effects on the key figure-of-merits (FOMs) predictions in severe accidents (SA). The FOMs of interest are hydrogen mass generation and event timings such as the first fuel channel failure time, beginning of the core disassembly time, core collapse time and calandria vessel failure time. The outcomes of the study, will allow an improvement of capabilities and expertise to perform uncertainty and sensitivity analysis with severe accident codes for CANDU 6 Nuclear Power Plant.
