유비쿼터스 환경에서의 주거 건축설계 방향설정 연구 (A Design Direction for Residential Space under Ubiquitous Environment)

  • Ubiquitous space can be described as a combined space of physical space and digital space. Ubiquitous space possesses new possibilities by combining the two. The concept of ubiquitous home will bring new changes in residential space design. First of all, it makes possible for more convenient and secure home. It has to be developed along with city and town level changes as ubiquitous environment. Secondly, concept of extended space as an extension of living space becomes possible by linking with outside spaces. Thirdly, as consumer requirements for residential spaces will become more versatile by social changes, ubiquitous home can be a good means to meet these versatile consumer requirements by accommodating concept of multi-functional space and flexible space. It is quite important to predict user requirements in rapidly changing social environment and versatile personal inclinations. Instead of POE methodology which can analyze and evaluate in exiting types of designs, storytelling methodology can be used to predict and direct for future requirements of living. The methodology makes scenarios of space usage for future living and extracts design requirements for the living. The concept of intelligent space has to be introduced. It is different from digital home that only accomodate digital devices in space. In intelligent space, space itself has to be recognized as an identity that interacts human directly. Intelligent space recognize human requirements and control digital devices as a response. Multi-functional space is closely related with intelligent space that can changes for business, entertainments as well as for rests by user requirements instantly. Flexible space that also intends to meet requirements of mobility and versatility can be attained through the integration of digital technology into current physical mobile systems. Interaction design becomes integral part for ubiquitous space design along with physical design. For the residential space design, digital illiteracy has to be considered for interaction design. Instead of the concept of passive existence, space itself has to be recognized as active subsistence that reacts with human. Intuitive and natural interaction for human will be a key design element for space-human interface design.

인터랙션 디자인에서의 '관계'에 대한 연구 - 관계에 대한 다 학제적 관점의 고찰을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Relationship of Interaction Design - With Emphasis on the Research of Various Knowledge System about the Relationship -)

  • 본 논문은 인터랙션 디자인의 컨셉 설정단계에서 분석적이고 수량적인 측면에서의 접근만으로는, 인터랙션 디자인에서 요구되는 인간과 도구나 기기 사이의 적합하고, 올바른 관계의 설정을 위한 새롭고 창의적인 컨셉을 발상하기 부족하기에, 이를 보완하기 위해서 여러 학문 영역에서의 '관계'에 대한 다양한 관점의 고찰을 통하여, 그 접근 가능성을 탐구하는 연구이다. 연구의 내용으로는 먼저, 인터랙션 디자인에 대해서 고찰하며, 프로세스 상에서 이용되고 있는 방법론들을 통해 기존 학문에서의 접근 현황을 파악한다. 그 다음, 여러 학문 분야에서의 '관계'에 대한 연구를 알아봄으로써, 다양한 관점의 관계에 대해 접근한다. 이를, 인터랙션 디자인의 입장에서 여러 학문 분야의 다양한 관점을 수용하기 위해서, '객체'와 '관계성' 두 가지 요소로 나누어 관계의 개념을 설명하며, 이 두 가지 요소에 의한 설명을 바탕으로 하여, 인터랙션 디자인에서의 '관계'의 관점들을 '특성에 의한 분류', '영역에 의한 분류', '규모 및 수에 의한 분류'로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 이와 같은 분류를 통해서 인터랙션 디자인에서의 객체간의 존재하는 많은 관계에 대해서 접근할 수 있을 것이다.

Interaction fields based on incompatibility tensor in field theory of plasticity-Part I: Theory-

  • This paper proposes an interaction field concept based on the field theory of plasticity. Relative deformation between two arbitrary scales, e.g., macro and micro fields, is defined which can be implemented in the crystal plasticity-based constitutive framework. Differential geometrical quantities responsible for describing dislocations and defects in the interaction field are obtained, based on which dislocation density and incompatibility tensors are further derived. It is shown that the explicit interaction exists in the curvature or incompatibility tensor field, whereas no interaction in the torsion or dislocation density tensor field. General expressions of the interaction fields over multiple scales with more than three scale levels are derived and implemented into the present constitutive equation.

  • The research was aimed at finding the dynamic aspects of the linguistic and social interaction with mathematical concept development using a graphing calculator in collaborative learning. This study was broadly divided into two categories: "Knowledge Construction Statement" for understanding how the verbal interaction works when a graphing calculator is used, and "Teacher's Instructional Role" for the research on the reaction of the students and on the teacher's role as a guide in helping students to construct their knowledge. This research used a case study in a collaborative learning environment. An attempt was made to show clearly how the students interacted with one another in a technology environment using a graphing calculator as a tool. A graphing calculator promoted the students' linguistic interaction and changed the characteristics of the linguistic interaction. Although it didn't show the different aspects completely, some changes of the linguistic traits were perceived.aits were perceived.

  • Technical advances in computer networks and the Internet bring a new communication era and provide effective solutions for cooperative works and research. These technological advances introduced the concept of cyberspace that many people involve reseach and a project at different locations at the same time. In this paper, we present a fast and effective interaction protocol that is aeapted to the COLAB(COIIaborative LABoratory) Systems which use a high-speed ATM Network. The CCOLAB systems is developed for researchers those who are doing a large project on the collaborative research environment. The interaction protocol that we developed supports multi-session and multi-channel on the TCP/IP Network and provides more flexible solution to control multimedia data on the network.

Vision-Based Activity Recognition Monitoring Based on Human-Object Interaction at Construction Sites

  • Vision-based activity recognition has been widely attempted at construction sites to estimate productivity and enhance workers' health and safety. Previous studies have focused on extracting an individual worker's postural information from sequential image frames for activity recognition. However, various trades of workers perform different tasks with similar postural patterns, which degrades the performance of activity recognition based on postural information. To this end, this research exploited a concept of human-object interaction, the interaction between a worker and their surrounding objects, considering the fact that trade workers interact with a specific object (e.g., working tools or construction materials) relevant to their trades. This research developed an approach to understand the context from sequential image frames based on four features: posture, object, spatial features, and temporal feature. Both posture and object features were used to analyze the interaction between the worker and the target object, and the other two features were used to detect movements from the entire region of image frames in both temporal and spatial domains. The developed approach used convolutional neural networks (CNN) for feature extractors and activity classifiers and long short-term memory (LSTM) was also used as an activity classifier. The developed approach provided an average accuracy of 85.96% for classifying 12 target construction tasks performed by two trades of workers, which was higher than two benchmark models. This experimental result indicated that integrating a concept of the human-object interaction offers great benefits in activity recognition when various trade workers coexist in a scene.

완화(palliation)의 개념분석 (Concept Analysis of Palliation)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the concept, palliation, in order to enhance understanding of palliative care and ultimately lead to the provision of timely quality palliative care. Method: This study used Walker and Avant s methods for concept analysis. Result: The defining attributes of palliation identified in this study were 1) being limited, 2) responsiveness, 3) leading to positive effects, 4) relativity, and 5) being unsettled. The antecedents of palliation were 1) a problematic condition, 2) appropriate management for the problematic condition, and 3) interaction between the problematic condition and the appropriate management. The consequences of palliation included 1) improvement of a problematic condition and 2) dependency on a management of the problematic condition. Conclusion: Although further studies are required to refine the diverse attributes of the concept of palliation, according to this concept analysis of palliation, palliative care should be introduced at the early stage of disease and constantly provided for the improvement of its negative symptoms.

아동간호의 질에 대한 개념분석 (Quality of Pediatric Nursing Care: Concept Analysis)

  • Purpose: This paper is a report of a concept analysis of 'quality of pediatric nursing care', Methods: Rodgers's evolutionary method of concept analysis was used. Data were collected from published literature related to quality of pediatric nursing care. Results: Quality of pediatric nursing care was identified with three dimensions and seven attributes: 1) nurse's character: technical competence, interpersonal competence, 2) nurse's activities: developmentally appropriate care, attentiveness, entertainment, 3) nurse-parent interaction: nurse-parent partnership, emotional support. Antecedents of quality of pediatric nursing care were 'child and parent's expectation about pediatric nursing care', 'previous caring experience of pediatric nurses'. Consequences of quality of pediatric nursing care were 'meet child and parent's needs' and 'better health outcomes.' Conclusion: 'Quality of pediatric nursing care' is a core concept in pediatric nursing practice. Appropriate instruments to operationalize the concept need to be developed.

오토포이에시스, 어포던스, 미메시스: 환경과 인간의 인지적 상호작용의 복잡성 해명을 위한 밑그림 (Autopoiesis, Affordance, and Mimesis: Layout for Explication of Complexity of Cognitive Interaction between Environment and Human)

  • 마음의 문제를 해명하기 위해 오늘날 인지과학은 과거의 컴퓨터 모델이나 신경망 모델이라는 좁은 틀에서 벗어나 뇌와 상호작용하는 신체와 상호작용하는 환경이라는 넓은 틀로 시야를 확대하고 있다. 그 결과로 등장한 <확장된 마음>이나 <체화된 마음> 혹은 <발제적 마음>의 이론들은 마음에서 환경으로 나아가는 길을 개척하는 데에 주력한 반면, 마음과 환경의 상호작용의 복잡한 과정 자체를 해명하는 데까지는 이르지 못하고 있다. 이런 문제는 1960~70년대에 마음의 문제를 뇌와 신체와 환경 간의 상호작용이라는 관점에서 선구적으로 해명하려 했던 깁슨과 마투라나와 바렐라에게로까지 거슬러 올라갈 수 있다. 깁슨이 환경이 제공하는 어포던스에 방점을 찍었다면, 마투라나와 바렐라는 생명체의 자기생산의 자율성에 방점을 찍었기 때문이다. 그러나 환경이 제공하는 어포던스에는 불변적 요소가 존재하고 생명체 역시 고유한 자율성을 가지면서, 어포던스의 가변적 요소와 환경에 대해 열려 있는 생명체가 함께 구조적 짝패를 이룬다고 보는 것이 타당하다. 이럴 경우 깁슨과 마투라나와 바렐라의 대립점은 해소될 것이다. 이 글에서 필자는 벤야민의 미메시스 이론이 양자를 매개해주는 역할을 할 수 있다고 제안하려 한다. 벤야민의 미메시스 개념에는 어포던스적 요소들을 체화함과 동시에 환경에 새로운 어포던스를 발제하는 측면이 함께 어우려져 하나의 성좌를 만들어내는 과정이 포함되어 있기 때문에, 깁슨의 어포던스 개념과 마투라나와 바렐라의 체화와 발제 개념은 벤야민의 미메시스 개념을 매개로 할 경우 원활하게 연결되어 순환할 수 있다.

협동적 상호작용을 통한 지리개념 발달과 근접발달영역에 관한 연구 - 중학생의 수도권 개념을 사례로 - (The Geographical Concepts Development and its ZPD through the Collaborative Interaction - A Case Study on the Concept of GSMA in the Middle School -)

  • 본 연구는 협동적 상호작용 중심의 교수-학습을 통해서 학습자의 지리개념과 근접발달영역이 어떻게 발달하는가를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 학습자의 개념발단은 인지구조 수준이 논아질수록 일상적인 개념에서 벗어나 지리적 개념을 표현하는 과정으로 이루어졌다. 지리적 개념의 표현은 구체적인 사실들에서 하위요소개념. 그리고 기본요소개념의 위계적인 순서로 상향 발달하였으며, 발달 과정에서 학습자가 인지구조로 내면화하는데 가장 어려운 개념은 기본요소개념이었다. 학습자의 수도권 개념에 대한 근접발달영역은 9개 유형으로 나타났다. 근접발달영역은 사전 인지구조가 지리적 개념을 얼마나 더 많이 그리고 더 체계적으로 표상하는가의 질적 차이에 따라 다르게 발달했다. 지리개념 발달은 학습자의 사전 인지구조보다는, 교수-학습을 통해서 자신의 인지구조를 얼마나 적극적이고 능동적으로 재구성하느냐에 달려 있었으며, 표상한 개념의 양적 증가를 바탕으로 한 질적 변화의 과정으로 이루어졌다.
