전문대학 신입생의 학업중단의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting College Freshmen's Intention to Drop Out)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 전문대학 신입생들의 학업중단의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝히는데 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 소재 A전문대학 1학년 학생 전체를 대상으로 2017년 10월 16월부터 10월 30일까지 자료를 수집하여, 설문지 1369부를 t-test, ANOVA 와 다중회귀분석을 활용하여 학업중단의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대하여 개인 요인, 가정 관련 요인, 교육기관 관련 요인, 사회 관련 요인의 네 가지 측면에서 살펴보았다. 첫째, 개인 요인 중 학업중단의도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 전반적인 대학 만족도, 전공이 본인과 맞다고 생각하는 정도 등이었다. 둘째, 가정 관련 요인 중 학업중단의도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 부모와 가족이 대학생활을 잘하도록 독려하는 정도로 나타났다. 셋째, 교육기관 관련 요인 중 학업중단의도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 전공학과의 교육과정 만족도, 자신이 속한 학과 소속감 정도, 교수가 진로 비전과 자부심을 심어주는 정도, 대학 교육시설 만족도인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 사회 관련 요인 중 학업중단의도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 대학진학이 인생에서 잘한 일이라고 생각하는 정도, 대학에서 배우는 지식이 자신의 삶에 도움이 될 것으로 생각하는 정도로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생들의 학업지속을 위해 교수, 교직원, 대학 차원에서 고려해야 할 점을 제안하고 신입생들의 학업중단율을 낮추기 위한 방안을 논의하였다.

  • 본 연구는 기혼여성의 자녀가치관과 추가출산의향의 관계에서 출산장려정책(보육료지원, 육아휴직제도)의 조절효과를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 "2015년 전국 출산력 및 가족 보건복지 실태조사"자료 중 총 2,143명의 자료를 선택하여 위계적 다중회귀분석과 조절회귀 분석방법을 적용하였다. 배경변수(교육수준, 소득, 연령, 기존 자녀 수)를 통제한 후, 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 이상적 자녀수, 도구적 가치관과 정서적 가치관의 순으로 추가출산의향에 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 '육아휴직'은 추가출산의향에 유의한 영향이 없는 반면에, '보육료 지원'은 음(-)의 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 '보육료 지원'만이 '도구적, 정서적 가치관'과 추가출산의향의향의 관계에서 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 효율적인 출산율 제고를 위해서는 무엇보다 자녀가치관을 높이기 위한 출산장려 문화정책이 필요하며, 아울러 추가출산 가능성이 높은 여성들을 대상으로 자녀수 등을 고려한 맞춤형 지원이 필요함을 시사한다.

간호전문직 자율성(Professional Nurse Autonomy)의 개념분석 (Concept Analysis of Professional Nurse Autonomy)

  • Professional nurse Autonomy is an essential attribute of a discipline striving for full professional status. Purpose: This study was to clarify the concept of professional nurse autonomy to provide basic data needed for development of professional autonomy enhancing strategies. Method: This study use the process of Walker & Avante's concept analysis based on Wade's research (1999), and field data of 21 nurses. Results: Professional nurse autonomy is defined as competency and creative performance of the professional nurse in practice, to decide independently or interdependently nursing activities and to be had accountable for results of decisions, that reflect advocacy and caring. It was identified that critical attributes include responsible discretionary decision making, collegial interdependence, initiative, creativity, and caring, advocacy, cooperative relationship with clients, receptive capacity to others, activeness, self confidence, and devotion and responsibility to their profession. Antecedents include personal characteristics, educational background, experience and structural characteristics that enhance professional nurse autonomy. Consequences of professional nurse autonomy are feelings of self-efficacy, empowerment, job satisfaction, reduction of intention to leave their job. Conclusion: According to these results, it is recommended that the curriculum provides an environment for learning professional nurse autonomy, and that is used as basic data to develope strategies to enhance professional autonomy of nurse in practice and it's effects

A Scoping Review on Burnout among Dental Hygienists in South Korea

  • Background: Dental hygienists, who play a vital role in promoting oral health, experience burnout due to various factors. This study aimed to identify these factors through a scoping review of the literature on burnout among dental hygienists in Korea to develop prevention and intervention strategies for burnout. Methods: The literature review was conducted following a scoping review protocol, which included five stages: identifying the literature question, identifying relevant studies, study selection, charting the data, summarizing, and reporting the results. Of the 352 documents initially reviewed, 35 were ultimately selected as final studies. These documents were analyzed to identify general characteristics and key variables related to burnout and to review the recommendations made by the studies. Results: Analysis of the final documents revealed that most studies published between 2013 and 2018 involved sample sizes ranging from 201 to 300 participants. Burnout-related characteristics include age, salary, work experience, and marital status. Emotional labor was the key variable most frequently identified, followed by intention to leave, job stress, job satisfaction, job involvement, and self-efficacy. Conclusion: This study suggests that strategies for preventing and intervening in burnout should be developed through both personal efforts and institutional measures. This approach will improve the work environment for dental hygienists and, consequently, enhance the quality of dental healthcare services.

병원간호사의 보상 측정도구 개발 (Development of a Reward Scale for Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop and test a reward scale for hospital nurses. Methods: The initial items were identified through a literature review and focus group interviews with ten hospital nurses. The content validity of the items was evaluated by ten experts. Fifty-one items were derived from the pilot survey. Four hundred eighty-eight nurses participated in the study: 248 for exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and 240 confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Data were analyzed using item analysis, EFA, CFA, convergent validity, known-group validity, and internal consistency using IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 29.0. Results: The final scale consisted of 31 items and eight factors (decent wage, opportunity to grow and develop, support for special situations, various benefits, flexibility of work, job-related achievement, reflecting career and performance, and recognition), which explained 67.3% of the total variance. The eight-subscale model was validated by CFA. Convergent validity was evaluated by analyzing correlation with intention to leave (r = - .63, p < .001) and job satisfaction (r = .54, p < .001). The known-group validity was evaluated by comparing the reward scales according to age, clinical career, income level and hospital type. The scale was found to be reliable with a Cronbach's α of .89. Conclusion: Both the validity and reliability of the reward scale for hospital nurses are verified, which can enhance the understanding of the range of rewards and may assist nurse managers in establishing an effective reward system.

간호학 분야 조직사회화 연구에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰 (A Systematic Review of the Studies on Organizational Socialization)

  • 본 연구는 국내 간호학 분야에서 수행된 조직사회화 관련 연구를 통합하고 분석하기 위해 수행된 체계적 문헌고찰 연구이다. 분석 대상 논문을 검색하게 위하여 '조직사회화' AND '간호'를 주제어로 하였고, 선정기준에 따라 총 26편이 분석에 사용되었다. 간호학 분야의 조직사회화 논문은 2016년부터 증가되기 시작하였고, 26편의 논문은 모두 양적 연구방법인 서술적 조사연구로 수행되었다. 조직사회화 관련 변인에 대한 연구 결과, 조직사회화에 영향을 미치는 변인으로는 회복탄력성, 직무스트레스, 지각된 공정성, 직장 내 괴롭힘, 전문직 자아개념, 조직분위기가 주로 이용되었으며, 조직사회화가 영향을 미치는 결과 변인으로는 이직의도, 재직의도, 회복탄력성, 조직몰입이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 간호학 분야에서 수행된 조직사회화 관련 연구의 체계적 문헌고찰을 통해 조직사회화 관련 중재연구의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

돌봄 여성 노동자의 노동특성이 이직의사에 미치는 영향 (Factors Influencing on the Turnover Intention of Female Care Workers)

  • 돌봄 노동의 사회적 필요성이 증가하고 그 시장의 규모 역시 증가하고 있으나, 돌봄 노동의 주요 공급자로서 여성 노동자들의 노동가치는 제대로 평가를 받고 있지 못하다. 본 연구는 현재 돌봄 서비스를 제공하고 있는 돌봄 여성 노동자를 대상으로 돌봄 여성 노동자의 일반적 특성과 돌봄 노동의 특성요인(근무특성과 대인관계특성)들 중 돌봄 여성 노동자들의 이직의사에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인가를 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 위의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 돌봄 서비스를 제공하고있는 대구 경북의 돌봄 여성 노동자를 대상으로 31개의 기관, 530명을 대상으로 설문조사하였고 그중 387부를 로짓 회귀분석을 통해 이직의사에 대한 영향 요인을 검증하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 로짓 회귀분석 결과, 이직의사에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학력, 보수적절성에 대한 인식, 계약 외일, 노동 강도, 이용자와의 관계, 제공기관과의 관계요인으로 밝혀졌다. 즉 돌봄 여성 노동자의 학력이높을수록, 보수적절성에 대한 인식이 낮을수록, 계약 외 일을 할수록, 노동 강도가 높을수록 이직의사가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이용자와의 관계와 제공기관과의 관계요인에서는 관계가 좋지 않을수록돌봄 노동을 떠나려는 이직의사가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 위와 같은 연구의 결과를 고려하여, 돌봄 여성 노동자들이 직무를 지속하도록 하기 위해서 돌봄 노동자의 노동조건에 대한 국가적 차원에서의 지도 감독을 강화하여야 하며, 이용자와 돌봄 노동자가 상호 대등한 협력적 관계를 유지하도록 하기 위한 대인관계교육 제공이라는 정책 및 실천적 함의를 도출하였다.

조직사회화에 대한 개념분석 (Concept Analysis of Organizational Socialization)

  • Purpose : The concept of organizational socialization has been regarded as an abstract concept of organizational learning process and it has been used as strategy for the organizational goal attainment. New graduated nurses' organizational socialization has been a very important process for learning knowledge, skills and behaviors in hospital setting. This study was to analyze and clarify the meaning of the concept of Organizational Socialization. Method : This study use the process of Walker & Avant's concept analysis. Results : The critical attributes of organizational socialization were identified as : 1) Internalization of Value and belief of organization; 2) Learning of organizational rules and modes of living; 3) Improvement of job performance; 4) Maintenance of supportive relationship; 5) Formation of occupational identity. The antecedents of organizational socialization consist of those facts that 1) negative feeling of role; 2) difficulties of interpersonal relationship; 3) unskilled work performance. And the consequences of organizational socialization consist of those facts that 1) organizational commitment; 2) job satisfaction; 3) intention of leave work setting; 4) improvement of job performance; 5) improvement of decision making; 6) maintenance of supportive relationship. Conclusion : Through this concept analysis, the concept of organizational socialization is defined as internalization of value and belief of organization, learning of organizational rules and modes of living, improvement of job performance, maintenance of supportive relationship and formation of occupational identity.

의학교육 전문부서 교원의 탈진현상 (Burnout among Medical Education Specialists in Korean Medical Colleges)

  • Medical education departments or offices are established in response to public expectations relating to health care, societal trends towards increased accountability, educational developments, increased interest in what to teach and how to educate doctors. However, heavy workloads and mixed feelings towards medical education departments or offices by the other members of a medical school can threaten job satisfaction and increase burnout. The authors investigated the prevalence of burnout among medical education specialists and related issues. Individual in-depth interviews with four medical education specialists were conducted to develop a questionnaire. After content analysis of the interview, the authors generated a survey form with 28 items including 6 categories: motivation to choose medical education as a career, job satisfaction, intention to leave their current position in medical education, the frequency and causes of burnout, and demographics. In September 2013, an email survey was administered to 43 faculty including non-tenure staff who were working in the department/office of medical education in 41 medical colleges in Korea. Of 43 medical education specialists, 25 (60%) returned surveys. Forty three-point-three percent of them felt encouraged when their endeavors generated a visible educational improvement in the medical school. A majority (87%) reported feeling burned out. Fifty percent of them experienced the feeling once or twice a year. The extent of burnout tended to be greater in women, those in their forties, those with non-medical doctor degrees, and in non-tenured staff. To reduce and prevent burnout among medical education specialists, the participants suggested that leadership of medical schools and a systematic approach to medical education should be established. A majority of the medical education specialists reported experiencing burnout, although they were satisfied with their jobs. To reduce their burnout and allow them to focus on their own work in medical education, the following factors are needed: perceptual changes of other members of the college about medical education; more systematic institutional strategies; networking among medical education specialists; and personal efforts for professional development.

임상간호사의 감정노동 실태와 신체적 증상, 소진, 우울 및 사회적 지지와의 관계 (The Relationship between Physical Discomfort, Burnout, Depression, Social Supports and Emotional Labor of Clinical Nurses in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the reality, status of clinical nurses' emotional labor and the relationship with physical discomfort, burnout, depression and social support. Methods: A thousand three hundred sixteen clinical nurses from 42 hospitals nationwide participated in this study. Questionnaires were developed for evaluating the reality and status of emotional labor of clinical nurses after interviewing focus groups and reviewing literatures. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Ninety eight percent of nurses had answered having emotional labor and they experienced 82 times per year, 9.6 times during last a month which means they experience it every other day. The one who provoke emotional labor were patients, guardians, physicians, supervisor, and colleagues in sequence. Eighty percent of nurses had intention to leave their jobs after experiencing emotional labor. They were doing more surface acting than deep acting of emotional labor. Conclusion: Clinical nurses in Korea experienced excessively high level of emotional labor and delayed responding to clients' requests due to lack of time for caring each patient was revealed as one of the main causes of emotional labor.
