It has been reported that the dynamic stress intensity factor for a propagating crack is increasing or decreasing according to the increasement of the crack propagating velocity. It is confirmed in this study that the increasement or decreasement of stress intensity factor with crack growing velocity is accused by loading condition. When the crack propagates under a constant displacement along upper and lower boundary in finite plate, the dynamic stress intensity factor decreases according to the increasement of the propagating crack velocity. When the crack propagates under a constant stress along upper and lower boundary in finite plate, the dynamic stress intensity factor increases according to the increasement of the propagating crack velocity. The increasement or decreasement of stress intensity factor with crack growing velocity is greater in a fast crack propagation velocity than in a slow one.
Arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) phase errors are normally assessed from the Fourier transform of the interference intensity data in the frequency domain method. However it is possible to identify the phases directly from the intensity data if one adopts a trial-and-error method. Since the functional form of the intensity profile is known, the intensities can be calculated theoretically by assuming arbitrary phase errors. Then we decide the phases that give the best fit to the experimental data. We verified this method by a simulation. We calculated the intensities for an artificial AWG which is given arbitrary phases and amplitudes. Then we extracted the phases and amplitudes from the intensity data by using our trial-and-error method. The extracted values are in good agreement with the originally given values. This approach yields better results than the analysis using Fourier transforms.
During the past decades, energy and Green House Gas(GHG) emissions has risen as a global issue. This paper is about the energy intensity and the GHG intensity in a university campus using the weighting factor of total occupied time to the members of the university. Through this analysis, we could separately estimate GHG intensity per full-time and part-time members under the situation that the measuring data is not perfect. This analyzing procedure could be applied to other non-manufacturing institutions such as school, hospital, governmental institute, office building etc.
The possibility of the characterization of sheet formation by image analysis with transmitted light was evaluated. Specific perimenter, average perimeter and variation could not be used to predict the sheet formation because there were no corrleation. Although image analysis method still have a lot of problems , it was found that the contrast intensity obtained by image analysis with transmitted light can be used to predict the sheet formation. In the case of highly filled sheet, the intensity of transmitted light was too low to characterize the sheet formation . However, it was possible to characterize the formation of unfilled heavy weight paper($\leq$200g/㎡).
The thermal stress intensity factors for interface cracks of Griffith and symmetric lip cusp types under vertical uniform heat flow in a finite body are calculated by boundary element method. The boundary conditions on the crack surfaces are insulated or fixed to constant temperature. The relationship between the stress intensity factors and the displacements on the nodal point of a crack tip element is derived. The numerical values of the thermal stress intensity factors for interface Griffith crack in an infinite body and for symmetric lip cusp crack in a finite and homogeneous body are compared with the previous solutions. The thermal stress intensity factors for symmetric lip cusp interface crack in a finite body are calculated with respect to various effective crack lengths, configuration parameters, material property ratios and the thermal boundary conditions on the crack surfaces. Under the same outer boundary conditions, there are no appreciable differences in the distribution of thermal stress intensity factors with respect to each material properties. But the effect of crack surface thermal boundary conditions on the thermal stress intensity factors is considerable.

This study examines the relationship between R&D intensity and disclosure. R&D activities are essential in bringing innovation to companies. However, R&D activities are naturally uncertain and increase information asymmetry. Thus, firms with high R&D activities are more likely to have the incentive to communicate the potential of R&D investment to the market through voluntary disclosure and, concurrently, resolve information asymmetry. Meanwhile, incentives to less voluntary disclosure exist because of the proprietary cost and the risk of competitiveness loss. Furthermore, the uncertainties inherent in R&D activities caused the possible decrease in the information accuracy. For the two opposing views, this study investigates the relationship between R&D intensity and disclosure frequency using the Regulation Fair Disclosure data in Korea. Moreover, the relationship between R&D intensity and usefulness of the information disclosed is also examined. Using firm sample listed in the 2011-2016 Korea Stock Market, results show that firms with high R&D intensity make disclosures more frequent. Subsequently, the analysis using forecast sample shows that management forecast error is higher in firms with high R&D intensity. This research contributes to the existing literature by presenting evidence that R&D intensity is a significant factor affecting manager's disclosure behavior and information usefulness.

The largest source of revenue in Indonesia comes from the taxation sector. Taxes increase the state revenue, which the government utilizes for building public facilities and infrastructures, providing subsidies to the public, financing public interests, and so on. In addition to producing revenue, taxes may be used to promote economic stability. Thus, this study aims to examine and analyze the financial aspects of tax aggressiveness. The financial aspects include leverage, capital intensity, inventory intensity, and earning management. The population used in this study was manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2016-2019 period. Data analysis was carried out based on Eviews, with a selected sample of 32 companies of four observation years. Therefore, the number of samples was 128. The results of this study revealed that the best estimation model to use is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). This study proved that leverage and earning management had a positive and significant effect on tax aggressiveness. In contrast, capital intensity and inventory intensity did not affect tax aggressiveness. In addition, the result of this study is still far from perfect. It is, therefore, hoped that further research can add other variables to find better results.
