Impacts of Planting Density on Nutrients Uptake by System of Rice Intensification under No-tillage Paddy in Korea

  • The System of Rice Intensification (SRI) is a new concept of increasing the yield of rice produced in farming. Therefore, we investigated the impacts of planting density on nutrient uptake as affected by SRI under no-till cropping system. The field was prepared as a randomized complete block design with three treatments: $10{\times}10$ cm, $20{\times}20$ cm and $30{\times}30$ cm planting densities. The root dry mass was significantly increased in the wider planting densities (p<0.05%). The highest grain yield was obtained in $20{\times}20$ cm planting density plot (p<0.05%) due to higher plant density per unit area and spikelets number per panicle. The total uptake amounts by rice plant were significantly higher in $20{\times}$20 cm planting density plot as 94.8 kg $ha^{-1}$ for T-N and 29.9 kg $ha^{-1}$ for P than other planting densities plots, but K and Mg uptake were significantly higher in $10{\times}10$ cm planting density plot (p<0.05%). In this study, our findings suggest that SRI should be considered as a new practice for the rice productivity.

  • Objective : The purpose of this report was to provide the information activity and safety of Palmul-tang by analyzing domestic/international papers and theses about Palmul-tang, Methods: Domestic/international papers and theses related to Palmul-tang were reviewed and analyzed, These papers were then classified by year, experimental method and subject, Results: The following results were obtained in this study. 1. The study of Palmul-tang started from 1985 and was continuously increased. The study was mainly forcused on experimental model rather than clinical study. 2. As these studies were classified by subject, papers related to immune intensification were most abundant by 20 papers, Besides there were several papers related to cardiovascular activity, reproductive activity, anti-apoptotic activity and cerebral hemodynamics. 3. Among the papers related to immune intensification. the studies on recovery of fatigue were mostabundant by 10 papers and the studies of on immune cell and cytokine express were six. In addition to. several studies were associated with anti-cancer activity and anti-allergic activity. Recovery of fatigue was determined by measurement of fatigue markers in a living body such as lactate. CPK, pyruvate and triglyceride and assessment of exercise capability of animals such as swimming test. slopped plate test. Rota-rod test, and activity cage test after Palmul-tang treatment. 4. According to experimental data. it is supported that Palmul-tang has been used as Qi and Blood intensifier with immune intensification and recovery of fatigue. 5. The paper related to safety of Palmul-tang was only one paper which is studied on acute toxicity of Palmul-tang with experiment with ICR mouse. There was no study on evaluating safety by observing liver and kidney functions after Palmul-tang treatment Conclusion: Palmul-tang is being used in various ways associating with immune intensification. cardiovascular activity and reproductive activity. However. studies on efficacy and mechanism of Palmul-tang should be conducted at the molecular biology level and studies on safety of Palmul-tang need to be completed at the clinical level.

소아기 급성 림프구성 백혈병에서 후기강화요법의 효과 (Effect of Delayed Intensification on Survival of Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia)

  • 목 적 : 소아기급성림프구성 백혈병의 재발율을 낮추기 위하여 1970년대부터 시작되어 본원에서는 1990년대에 도입된 후기강화 요법의 효과를 평가하기 위하여 본 조사를 시행하였다. 방 법 : 1990년 3월부터 2002년 7월까지 연세대학교 원주의과대학 소아과 및 신촌세브란스병원 소아과에서 치료받은 급성림프구성 백혈병환자 139명을 대상으로 성별, 진단시 나이, 백혈구수, 면역표현형, 후기강화요법 실시여부 및 합병증 등의 기록을 후향적으로 고찰하였다. 후기강화요법은 CCG-1891의 약제를 사용하였으며 Kaplan-Meier 생존곡선을 이용하여 전체생존율 및 재발에 따른 사망을 사건으로 정의한 무병생존추정률을 구하였다. 결 과 : 전체 환아의 정중추적 관찰기간은 39개월(범위 3-237개월)이었으며 5년 생존율은 60%였고, 5년 무병생존추정률은 55%였다. 후기강화요법 시행에 따른 5년 생존율은 1회 시행시 86%, 2회 이상 시행 시 95%였으며 시행하지 않은 경우는 40%였다. 후기강화요법 시행에 따른 5년 무병생존추정률은 1회 시행시 84%, 2회 이상 시행 시 95%였으며 시행하지 않은 경우는 45%였다. 저위험군에서는 후기강화요법 시행 시 5년 생존율이 94%, 시행하지 않은 경우는 58%였고, 5년 무병생존추정률은 시행한 경우는 97%, 시행하지 않은 경우는 52%였다. 결 론 : 급성림프구성 백혈병 소아에서 후기강화요법 시행은 5 년 무병생존추정률 및 5년 생존율을 향상시켰다.

  • The aim of this work is to analyse and discuss the use of the Economic Evaluation and of some new "metrics" for an appropriate valuation of membrane operations in the logic of Process Intensification. In particular, the proposed approach has the goal to show how the utilized indicators can drive to the choice of the most convenient process. Although in this work the planned procedure is applied, as a case study, to the membrane-based systems for boron and arsenic removal from waters, the suggested approach can be generally applied to any other process of interest.

  • 夏期 東韓暖의 强化에 따른 沿岸水의 應答에 대하여 理論的으로 고찰하였다. 간단한 解析모델을 이용하여 夏期 南向 沿岸流의 형성(37$^{\circ}$N 以北)및 연안 저층수 의 상승(36$^{\circ}$N 以南) 원인을 설명할 수 있었다. 이러한 현상의 미캐니즘은 급격한 海流의 强化에 따른 로스비 變形過程으로 밝혀졌다.

  • In the high oil prices age, intensification of energy efficiency promotion in the building sector is required. Windows are dominating large percentage whole building loads, and are regarding as the primary target of energy efficiency. The purpose of this study is to draw up a technical counterplan for the intensification of windows energy efficiency and spread promotion by quantitative thermal performance with KS test method for a comparison between the general Pair glass windows and the Low-e pair glass windows.

회전유동을 이용한 기체-액체 반응 촉진 기술 연구 (A Study on Gas-Liquid Reaction Intensification by Using Rotating Flow)

  • In the present study, we propose new type of a spinning disk reactor(SDR) with high performance and very convenient structure to make a large scale equipment from lab-scale than the conventional one. A split-disk experimental equipment, based on new type of spinning disk reactor, has been developed to generate an energy to break a bulk of injected gas into smaller gas bubble. Several cases of an experimental observation make it to confirm that a bulk of injecting gas could be continuously break into smaller bubbles. It shows the feasibility to make a scale-up of SDR by using the characteristic of Taylor-Proudman column in rotating flow. A theoretical study on single phase liquid flow is given to predict a liquid induced shear stress, which make the present study to be self-containment.

건설엔지니어링업체의 기술경쟁력 강화방안 (An Intensification Plan of Technical Competitive strength in Domestic Construction Engineering Company)

  • 엔지니어링의 비용은 공사비의 $3{\~}5{\%}$ 차지하나, 최종 사업목적물의 성능이 결정되는 단계인 만큼 사업초기단계에서 엔지니어링의 역할은 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나, 국내 설계기술력을 선진국과 비교할 때, 계획단계 및 기본 실시설계, 시공단계는 각각 $63\%$, $66\%$, $73\%$로써, 사업초기단계로 갈수록 선진국의 기술수준보다 낙후되어 있다. 특히, 국내 설계기술력은 정부 및 업체의 기술개발에 대한 인식부족과 불확실한 결과 등의 이유로 선진국에 비해 크게 낙후되어 있는 실정이다. 그 결과 우리나라의 엔지니어링 분야의 해외진출 실적은 매우 미미하며, 국내 대형국책건설사업에 선진외국의 유사기술을 반복적으로 도입하고서도 고유기술화 시키지 못하고 있다. 이에 따라 사업초기단계에 필요한 기획 및 설계기술을 향상시킴으로 국민에게 안전하고 편리한 고품질의 생활기반을 제공하고, 나아가 해외시장에 진출하여 우리나라의 특화된 엔지니어링 기술을 수출해야 할 시점이다. 따라서, 본 고에서는 시장개방 및 세계의 통합화 추세 등 급속한 경제환경 변화에 대처하기 위하여 설계분야의 기술경쟁력 강화방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Effects on Rice Growth of System of Rice Intensification under No-till Paddy in Korea

  • The objectives of this research were to investigate the system of rice intensification (SRI) on early growth, grain yield, and yield components under Chinese milk vetch residue-mulched no-tillage cropping systems at silt loam soil. The field was prepared as a split-plot design with three replications, main plots consisted of Dongjinbyeo, and Sobibyeo as a cultivar, and subplots consisted of $10{\times}10$ cm, $20{\times}20$ cm, and $30{\times}30$ cm as a planting density. Weed infestation during rice growing season was more severe in wider planting density $30{\times}30$ at 35 days after transplanting (DAT), and $20{\times}20$ cm at 95 DAT in both Sobibyeo and Dongjinbyeo. The maximum plant height was recorded in Sobibyeo compared with Dongjinbyeo, $10{\times}10$ cm and $20{\times}20$ cm planting density compared with $30{\times}30$ cm from 20 DAT until 60 DAT. Among the three planting densities, SPAD values were significantly greater in planting density of $20{\times}20$ cm both in Sobibyeo and Dongjinbyeo followed by $30{\times}30$ cm compared with closer planting density of $10{\times}10$ cm. The lowest grain yield was observed in wider planting density of $30{\times}30$ in both Sobibyeo and Dongjinbyeo due to lower number of panicle per unit area. Our findings suggest that optimum planting density for SRI in no-tillage paddy was $20{\times}20$ cm and it should be useful the systems to small-scale rice farmers in Korea as a sustainable farming system.

Temporal Difference 학습을 이용한 다중 집단 강화.다양화 상호작용 개미 강화학습 (Multi Colony Intensification.Diversification Interaction Ant Reinforcement Learning Using Temporal Difference Learning)

  • 본 논문에서는 Temporal Difference 학습을 적용한 Ant-Q 기반 개미 모델을 이용한 다중 집단 상호작용 개미 강화학습 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델은 몇 개의 독립적 개미시스템 집단으로 이루어져 있으며, 상호작용은 집단간 엘리트 전략(강화, 다양화 전략)에 따라 임무를 수행한다. 강화 전략은 다른 에이전트 집단의 휴리스틱 정보를 이용해 좋은 경로 선택을 가능하게 한다. 이것은 집단간 긍정적 상호작용을 통해 에이전트들의 방문 빈도가 높은 간선을 선택하게 한다. 다양화 전략은 에이전트들이 다른 에이전트 집단의 탐색 정보에 의해 부정적 상호작용을 수행함으로써 방문 빈도수가 높은 간선의 선택을 회피하게 만든다. 이러한 전략을 통해 제안한 강화학습은 기존의 개미집단시스템, Ant-Q학습보다 최적해에 더 빠르게 수렴할 수 있음을 실험을 통해 알 수 있었다.
