The ability to characterize feature objects from radar readings is often limited by simply looking at their still frame reflectivity, differential reflectivity and differential phase data. In many cases, time-series study of these objects' reflectivity profile is required to properly characterize features objects of interest. This paper introduces a novel technique to automatically track multiple 3D radar structures in C,S-band in real-time using Doppler radar and profile their characteristic reflectivity distribution in time series. The extraction of reflectivity profile from different radar cluster structures is done in three stages: 1. static frame (zone-linkage) clustering, 2. dynamic frame (evolution-linkage) clustering and 3. characterization of clusters through time series profile of reflectivity distribution. The two clustering schemes proposed here are applied on composite multi-layers CAPPI (Constant Altitude Plan Position Indicator) radar data which covers altitude range of 0.25 to 10 km and an area spanning over hundreds of thousands $km^2$. Discrete numerical simulations show the validity of the proposed technique and that fast and accurate profiling of time series reflectivity distribution for deformable 3D radar structures is achievable.
Purpose: This study aims to measure how information quality, system quality, security, usefulness, and ease of use of Augmented Reality (VR) and Virtual Reality (AR) influence user satisfaction, motivating intelligent travel technology developers to improve VR/AR quality to meet customer requirements. Research design, data and methodology: This study investigates users interested in travelling in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang City, Vietnam. The research model was implemented using an online questionnaire and face-to-face from 405 valid samples. To evaluate the scale's reliability, the study used the software SPSS 20. Test research hypotheses and evaluate measurement and structural models. This research uses AMOS 20 software. The proposed model is firmly grounded in the Information System Success model (ISS) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), providing a solid theoretical foundation for our research. Results: Results show that consumer perceptions of information quality, system quality, security, usefulness, and ease of use have a positive impact on the perceived quality of VR/AR, thereby influencing tourists' travel intention. Conclusions: The results of this research enrich the theoretical understanding of consumer behaviour toward intelligent technology products in tourism, providing management implications for manufacturers to improve the quality of tourism products and satisfy user requirements in experience before considering choosing a destination.

In smart grid, privacy implications to individuals and their families are an important issue because of the fine-grained usage data collection. Wireless communications are utilized by many utility companies to obtain information. Network coding is exploited in smart grids, to enhance network performance in terms of throughput, delay, robustness, and energy consumption. However, random linear network coding introduces a new challenge for privacy preserving due to the encoding of data and updating of coefficients in forwarder nodes. We propose a distributed privacy preserving scheme for random linear network coding in smart grid that considers the converged flows character of the smart grid and exploits a homomorphic encryption function to decrease the complexities in the forwarder node. It offers a data confidentiality privacy preserving feature, which can efficiently thwart traffic analysis. The data of the packet is encrypted and the tag of the packet is encrypted by a homomorphic encryption function. The forwarder node random linearly codes the encrypted data and directly processes the cryptotext tags based on the homomorphism feature. Extensive security analysis and performance evaluations demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed scheme.

In this paper, we propose and the call admission control mechanism that can improve the capacity of the wireless system for the non-uniform traffic load distribution based intelligent information in multiple cellular CDMA environment. The number of mobile stations that can be served simultaneously in a base station is limited by the amount of total interference received in CDMA system. Further, the average number of mobile stations in each cell may not be uniformly distributed. In this paper, considering this factors, the call admission control mechanism using the effective bandwidth concept is adapted to improve the system capacity of non-uniform traffic load distribution based intelligent information. Thus, the bandwidth for a new call can be varied dynamically for reducing the blocking rate of new calls and the dropping rate of handoff calls. The suggested call admission control mechanism is experimented through simulation by dynamically assigning the bandwidth to new and handoff calls. The simulation results show that the proposed call admission control mechanism can accommodate more mobile stations than the other methods in multiple cellular CDMA environment.
Instrumentation on structural health monitoring system imposes critical issues for applying the structural monitoring system to real world structures, for which not only on the configuration and geometry, but also aesthetics on the system to be monitored should be considered. To illustrate this point, two real world structural health monitoring systems, the structural health monitoring system of Shenzhen Vanke Center and the structural health monitoring system of Shenzhen Bay Stadium in China, are presented in the paper. The instrumentation on structural health monitoring systems of real world structures is addressed by providing the description of the structure, the purpose of the structural health monitoring system implementation, as well as details of the system integration including the installations on the sensors and acquisition equipment and so on. In addition, an intelligent algorithm on stress identification using measurements from multi-region is presented in the paper. The stress identification method is deployed using the fuzzy pattern recognition and Dempster-Shafer evidence theory, where the measurements of limited strain sensors arranged on structure are the input data of the method. As results, at the critical parts of the structure, the stress distribution evaluated from the measurements has shown close correlation to the numerical simulation results on the steel roof of the Beijing National Aquatics Center in China. The research work in this paper can provide a reference for the design and implementation of both real world structural health monitoring systems and intelligent algorithm to identify stress distribution effectively.
In this study, the electrochemical polarization data required for the simulation of the plating process, simulation of plating conditions, and characterization of the plating layer were discussed. The electrochemical polarization data obtained by potentiodynamic polarization tests and potentiostat analysis of Ni and Cu were used to observe changes in the overvoltage distribution with the flow conditions of the plating solution. In the simulation of plating conditions, the current density distribution and plating thickness distribution were evaluated under different variables to analyze the influence of the location and number of contacts on the rack pins on the plating quality. Simulation results under variables such as anode geometry, interpole distance, auxiliary anode placement, and variation of substrate spacing were used to explore ways to improve plating thickness deviation. Additionally, plating layer characterization analyzed the thickness, adhesion, and delamination of the plating layer with and without buffer layer formation. The simulation results can be utilized as important basic data for improving the efficiency and quality of the plating process.
This paper shows an intelligent disease diagnosis system for public. Our system deals with 30 diseases and their typical symptoms selected based on the report from Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea. Technically, the system uses a modified FCM algorithm for clustering diseases and the input vector consists of the result of user-selected questionnaires. The modified FCM algorithm improves the quality of clusters by applying symmetrically measure based on the fuzzy theory so that the clusters are relatively sensitive to the shape of the pattern distribution. Furthermore, we extract the highest 5 diseases only related to the user-selected questionnaires based on the fuzzy membership function between questionnaires and diseases in order to avoid diagnosing unrelated disease.

Intelligent distribution equipment is inevitable to realize self-healing which is one of smart grid functions in distribution network. Therefore, most of distribution equipment have been developed with self diagnostic sensors. However, it is not effective to construct on-line monitoring system for underground distribution cable because of high cost and low sensitivity. Recently, optical fiber composite cable is being considered for communication and power delivery in order to cope with increasing communication in distribution network. This paper presents the design and performance assessment results of underground cable on-line monitoring system using DTS(Distributed Temperature Sensing) and optical fiber composite underground cable.

This paper proposes a new concept of IDSP(Intelligent Digital Switchgear Panel) which can solve the problem of the safety, the reliability and the convenience to correspond to the requirement of the general electric customer or electric power company under the ubiquitous-based home automation environments. By analyzing their requirement functions, a 32-bit micro processor is adopted as main controller to support the designed functions efficiently. The DSP-based single phase power management device is utilized to collect the electric power information and the ethernet convertor to communicate through internet among the IDSPs and the remote computer system. In the proposed IDSP, the several functions are implemented such as the earth leakage level display and waveform transmission, the electric fee display, the voltage management, the load management and the load control function. Finally, the prototype of the IDSP is made experimently based on the designed results, and then the effectiveness is verified by testing its basic functions.
