  • This paper presents an experimental study on an electrical circuit model of the TiO2-based nano-wired memristor device for neuromophic applications. The electrical circuit equivalent model of the proposed memristor device consists of several electronics components and some passive devices including operational amplifiers, multipliers, resistors and capacitors. In order to verify the proposed design, both of simulation (using PSPICE) as well as hardware implementation were performed for the analysis of the memristor circuit with time waveforms, frequency spectra, I-V curves and power curves. The gained results from the measured data showed a good agreement with the simulation result that confirm the proposed idea.

  • Regression Analysis is an analyzing method of regression model to explain the statistical relationship between explanatory variable and response variables. This paper introduce Theil's method to find a fuzzy regression model which explain the relationship between explanatory variable and response variables. Theil's method is a robust method which is not sensive to outliers. Theil's method use medians of rate of increment based on randomly chosen pairs of each components of ${\alpha}$-level sets of fuzzy data in order to estimate the coefficients of fuzzy regression model. We propose an example to show Theil's estimator is robust than the Least squares estimator.

  • With the rapid development of smart devices and mobile Internet, the video application plays an increasingly important role on mobile devices. Understanding user behavior patterns is critical for optimized operation of mobile live streaming systems. On the other hand, volume based billing models on cloud services make it easier for video service providers to scale their services as well as to reduce the waste from oversized service capacities. In this paper, the watching behaviors of a commercial mobile live streaming system are studied in a content-centric manner. Our analysis captures the intrinsic correlation existing between popularity and watching intensity of programs due to the synchronized watching behaviors with program schedule. The watching pattern is further used to estimate traffic volume generated by the program, which is useful on data volume capacity reservation and billing strategy selection in cloud services. The traffic range of programs is estimated based on a naive popularity prediction. In cross validation, the traffic ranges of around 94% of programs are successfully estimated. In high popularity programs (>20000 viewers), the overestimated traffic is less than 15% of real happened traffic when using upper bound to estimate program traffic.

  • Due to rapid growth of East Asian economy, some changes are being made in trade volume and shipping market of this area. Busan port in Korea and Shanghai port in China are continually increasing their investment in port development and competitiveness in order to become the logistics hub of Northeast Asia. Especially the competition for transshipment containers becomes more and more fierce. So in this study, we set a goal of increasing the port competitiveness on transshipment cargo by an analysis of competition strategies. We choose the Busan port and the Shanghai port as the research objects, game competition model and real data is used to analyze the two ports' price strategies and market share. According to the results, some advices will be put forward to enhance competitiveness of the two ports.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel approach predicting the fluctuation of stock index by finding a relation in various stock indexes that are represented by linear combinations. The important points are to select stock indexes related to predicting indexes and to find the proper relations in them. Since it is unattainable to use entire stock indexes relation, we used only data that are closely associated with each other. We used Genetic Algorithm(GA) to find the most suitable stock-index relation. We simulated the investment in years from 2005 to 2007 with each real index. Finally we verified that the investment money increased 230 percents by the proposed method.

  • A vacant technology forecasting is an important issue in management of technology. The forecast of vacant technology leads to the growth of nation and company. So, we need the results of technology developments until now to predict the vacant technology. Patent is an objective thing of the results in research and development of technology. We study a predictive method for forecasting the vacant technology quantitatively using patent data in this paper. We propose an ensemble model that is to vote some clustering criteria because we can't guarantee a model is optimal. Therefore, an objective and accurate forecasting model of vacant technology is researched in our paper. This model combines statistical analysis methods with machine learning algorithms. To verify our performance evaluation objectively, we make experiments using patent documents of diverse technology fields.

  • This study was conducted to develop a Web-GIS based monitoring module of smart city that can effectively respond, manage and improve situation in all stages of illegal dumping management on a city scale. First, five technologies were set for the core technical elements of the module configuration. Five core technical elements are as follows; video screening technology based on motion vector analysis, human behavior detection based on intelligent video analytics technology, mobile app for receiving civil complaints about illegal dumping, illegal dumping risk model and street cleanliness map, Web-GIS based situation monitoring technology. The development contents and results for each set of core technical elements were evaluated. Finally, a Web-GIS based 'illegal dumping monitoring module' was proposed. It is possible to collect and analyze city data at the local government level through operating the proposed module. Based on this, it is able to effectively detect illegal dumpers at relatively low cost and identify the tendency of illegal dumping by systematically managing habitual occurrence areas. In the future, it is expected to be developed in the form of an add-on module of the smart city integration platform operated by local governments to ensure interoperability and scalability.

  • Intelligent applications are crucial for increasing the popularity of shared urban electric bicycles (EBs). Building an application platform architectural system that can satisfy independent user operations is critical for increasing the intelligent usage of shared EBs. Consequently, we collected online reviews of shared EB applications, conducted semantic processing and sentiment analysis, and refined the positive and negative review data for each function. The positive and negative review indices of each function were calculated using the formulae for positive and negative review indices of product functions, thereby determining the functions that need to be improved. Each function of the Shared EB application was improved according to its business process. The main contributions of this study are to build a user requirement architecture system for the Shared EB application with five dimensions and 22 functions using the Delphi method to design the user interface (UI) of this application based on user satisfaction evaluation results; to create a high-fidelity dynamic interaction prototype and compare user satisfaction before and after improving the Shared EB application functions. The testing results indicate that the changes in the UI significantly improve the user experience satisfaction of the urban Shared EB application, with the positive experience index increasing by 69.21% and the negative experience index decreasing by 75.85% overall. This information can be directly used by relevant companies to improve the functions of the Shared EB application.

  • The new AI based conversational chatbot, ChatGPT, launched in November 2022, is causing a stir. There are many opinions about this being a 'threat or a promise,' and thus it is important to understand what has been said about this tool and, based on the growing literature that has emerged on the subject, demystify its effective impact on society. To analyse this impact, a systematic literature review with the support of the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis protocol was used. The data, scientific documents, were collected using the main scientific databases - SCOPUS and Web of Science - and the results were presented based on a bibliometric and thematic exploration of content. The main findings indicate that people are increasingly using this chatbot in more diverse areas. Therefore, this study contributes at the practical level, aiming to enlighten people in general - both in professional and personal life - about this tool and its impacts. Also, it contributes at the theoretical level, which involves expanding understanding and elucidation of the impacts of ChatGPT in different areas of study.

  • This research, conducted over a three-year period starting from 2020, was a collaborative project between practitioners in the field of VE design and the Korea Expressway Corporation, aimed at innovating the design VE project to construct an intelligent ICT-based smart highway and enhancing highway driving performance and customer satisfaction. The research included R&D support for payment and management systems integrated with IOT technology, the application of the developed prototype at highway sites, and analysis of user performance evaluation. Based on the Innovation Work Roadmap of the Korea Expressway Corporation, the research process involved collaboration between a public participation group and an expert group, considering the technical feasibility of data-based ICT technology through the National Idea VE Contest. The final VE design results were implemented at the Seongnam tollgate site with budget support from relevant departments, followed by a satisfaction survey. It is expected that the continuous contributions to achieving an ESG society, such as the increase in the number of customers using the tolling zone equipped with smart upgrades, along with their satisfaction rate, and the reduction in carbon emissions and total settlement time of highway users, will be sustained.
