This paper presents a way to integrate a task planner with a plan executive for efficient control of intelligent robots. For this purpose, it first surveys several types of the existing task planners and plan executives. And then it introduces a new approach that combines a BDI-based executive with an on-demand task planner, and it explains a control architecture of intelligent robots based upon this integrating paradigm. Finally it analyzes the flexibility and robustness of both the proposed integrating paradigm and the control architecture through implementation of a demo system using AIBO robots.

KORMARC formats have been developed in accordance with type of materials at different times. The format was firstly developed and soon after with formats for serials, audiovisual materials, archival and manuscript materials. Although all of the formats were developed according to the same principles, there were same inconsistencies among them. However, there are solved above problems as integrating KORMARC bibliographic formats. First of all, the result was better than we had expected both unified cataloging rules and standard of a descriptive form as accepted KCR4. This study is to roughly analyze integrating process, integrating contents, and problems of KORMARC format.

In this paper we suggest a method for translating (or integrating) XML documents into Voice XML documents in order to provide voice communication service. In the forthcoming web environment, XML will certainly overwhelms HTML. At this situation, the method of accessing data through the more various types of terminal machines is required.'rho best way is to use Voice XML by which the data accessing method is able to change from Web to the wired or/and wireless terminal at low costs. Thus we suggest a method for integrating the XML-based system into the Voice XML-based one.

Character of the technology that is going to lead the next generation convergence network which has been discussed recently can be represented by Integrating and Convergence. One of the main features of ABR service is the employment of a rate-based flow control mechanism, and congestion control plays an important role in the effective and stable operation of ATM networks Feedback from the network switches to the end system gives users the information necessary to adjust transmission rates appropriately according to the current networks load. Congestion controls by feedback mechanism are classified as EFCI and ER mode. We analyze the performance of EFCI and ER and propose a new ABR traffic control strategy by integrating EFCI and ER modes to improve the traditional traffic control. Through the distributed simulation. the performance improved by the proposed control strategy is analyzed.

Recently, the need for integration of military-related information is increasing. The fundamental problem for integrating existing information systems is semantic inconsistency. To solve this problem, the use of metadata is essential, because metadata is a key component for effective information integration. In this paper, we present a metadata-based data grid system for integrating military data sources. First, we investigate federated database approach and data grid approach for information integration, and deal with metadata-based data grid. Then we present a data grid system for the integration of military information.

This paper presents the method of improving the data rate and BER in the inductive coupling link using a BPM signaling method. A complementary switching transmitter is used to remove invalid glitches at transmitted data, and the concept of pre-distortion is introduced to optimize received data. Also, an integrating receiver is used to increase the sampling margin and equalizing transistors are added in the pre-charge path of the integrator and comparator for high frequency operation. The transceiver designed with a 0.13 um CMOS technology operates at 2.4 Gb/s and consumes 5.99 mW from 1.2 V power supply.

In the paper. the health card system to integrate several cards into one card for protecting patient's privacy and security problems is proposed. Firstly, it is defined the minimal data set for integrating several patient cards into one card using IC card, and developed the issuing system to issue the integrated patient IC card. In order to secure and certificate a patient's personal information. the integrated patient IC card has applied 3-DES and the PKI certificate authority based Windows 2000 is established. The receipt and reservation system for taking care of a healthcare has developed to cooperate with the existing hospital computer system. The integrating patient IC card system proposed in this paper is implemented to 11 hospitals and used for 1.000 patients. On the result of the simulation. the proposed system can receive or reserve for a patient to take care of healthcare in the simulated hospitals and also establish the basis of the mechanism to share a medical information.

It is not easy for users to effectively have information that is semantically related but scattered on the Web. To obtain qualitatively improved information in web pages, it is necessary to integrate information that is heterogeneous but semantically related. In this study, we propose a method that provides XML-based metadata to users through integration of multiple heterogeneous Web pages. The metadata generated from the proposed system is obtained by integrating different heterogeneous information into a single page, using entity identification based on ontology. A wheelchair information integration system for disabled people is implemented to verify the efficiency of the proposed method. The implemented system provides an integrated web page from multiple web pages as a type of XML document.

In traditional environment, user must search each journal OPAC, bibliographic DB, and full-text DB and E-Journal separately until user finds scientific and technology informations that he needs. The purpose of this study is to build one-click service system of Journals that supports integrating search. This system provides various functions, such as, journal browsing, journal search, article search, alert function, my library, document delivery service by integrating databases and electronic journals. Users search all information sources through journal OPAC and acquire journal full-text by single interface.
