치과용 통합공급장치를 위한 안드로이드 운영체제가 내장된 제어시스템 개발 (Development of Control System with Android Operation System for Dentistry Integrated Device)

  • 본 논문에서는 치과용 통합공급장치를 실시간으로 제어 및 모니터링할 수 있고 그 결과를 Wi-Fi 무선랜 통신을 통해 송수신이 가능한 제어시스템을 개발하였다. 개발한 제어시스템은 안드로이드 운영체제를 내장하기 위해 S3C6410 ARM 칩을 이용하여 설계하였다. 개발한 제어시스템은 Wi-Fi 통신, RS485, 리녹스 2.6 및 안드로이드 운영체제 2.0을 내장하도록 보드를 개발하였다. 개발한 제어시스템은 치과용 통합공급장치에 내장되어 있는 정수기, 컴프레서, 석션을 실시간으로 제어하였다. 실험결과, 개발한 제어시스템은 각 제어기 모듈과 연계하여 정수기, 석션 및 컴프레서를 실시간으로 제어하였고, 그 상태 값을 RS485 통신을 이용하여 제어시스템에 실시간으로 표시하였다.

An Integrated Approach to the Analysis and Design of a Three-Axis Cross-Coupling Control System

  • We propose a controller design analysis for a cross-coupling control system, which is essential for achieving high contouring accuracy in multi-axis CNC systems. The proposed analysis combines three axial controllers for each individual feed drive system together with a cross-coupling controller at the beginning of the design stage in an integrated manner. These two types of controllers used to be separately designed and analyzed since they have different control objectives. The proposed scheme is based on a mathematical formulation of a three-dimensional contour error model and includes a stability analysis for the overall control system and a performance analysis in terms of contouring and tracking accuracy at steady state. A computer simulation was used to demonstrate the validity of the proposed methodology. The performance variation was investigated under different operating conditions and controller gains, and a design range was elicited that met the given performance specifications. The results provide basic guidelines in systematic and comprehensive controller designs for multi-axis CNC systems. A cross-coupling control system was also implemented on a PC-based three-axis CNC testbed, and the experimental results confirmed the usefulness of the proposed control system in terms of contouring accuracy.

  • The dynamic simulation of machine tools and motion control systems has been widely used for optimization, design verification, control design, etc. There are three main streams in dynamic simulation: structural dynamic analysis based onthe finite element method, dynamic motion analysis based on equations of motion, and control system analysis based on transfer functions. Generally, one of these dynamic simulation methods is chosen and employed for specific purposes. In this study, an integrated dynamic simulation is introduced, in which the structure, motion, and control dynamics are combined together. Commercially well-known software is used in the integrated dynamic simulation: ANSYS, ADAMS, and Matlab/Simulink. Using the integrated dynamic simulation, the dynamics of a magnetic bearing stage is analyzed and the causes of oscillation and noise are identified. A controller design for suppressing a flexible dynamic mode is carried out and verified through the integrated dynamic simulation.

  • The authors have proposed a linear motor driven container crane system, in which the linear motor to drive trolley chassis is also used to control swaying motion of a hanging container. To utilize the proposed system, it is needed to develop a power saving control system for the linear drive system. In this paper, an integrated control system to minimize required electric power to drive a trolley chassis with the suppressed swaying motion of a hanged container, is proposed. The validity of the proposed control system is investigated by the simulation using Simulink.

멀티미디어 통신기기 제어를 위한 통합 TCU 개발 (Development of Integrated TCU for Multimedia Communication Devices Control)

  • 최근 네트워크회선 사용비용의 안정화로 인해 IP방송과 통신장비가 확대 보급되고 있으나, TV, DID와 같은 멀티미디어에는 고가의 네트워크 시스템을 이용한 통합관리 시스템을 사용하고 있지 않다. 제안된 멀티미디어 통합 TCU(terminal control unit)는 Wake-on-Lan을 셋탑박스에 탑재한 후에 기존 네트워크의 IP통신망을 사용하여 TV전원의 On/Off의 상태 확인 및 원격제어, 전원 제어 예약 기능(관제실 소프트웨어 지원), TV채널 변경, 다양한 인터페이스 입출력 AC전원 & Lan포트, RS-232C, IR등을 지원하는 제어기기로 기존에 저가의 제어기기로 사용되던 RF방식과는 다르게 24시간 감시 및 제어할 수 있다. 높은 가격과 확장성이 전무한 기존 제어장비에서 24시간 모니터링 기능과 자동제어 시스템 지원과 저가격인 TCU(Termial Control Unit)의 개발은 폭넓은 사용처를 확보할 것으로 예상된다.

Coordinated Virtual Inertia Control Strategy for D-PMSG Considering Frequency Regulation Ability

  • In the process of virtual inertia control (VIC), the frequency regulation capability of the directly-driven wind turbine with permanent-magnet synchronous generator (D-PMSG) on wind farm is related to its rotor kinetic energy and capacity margin. This paper proposes the method for assessing the D-PMSG frequency regulation capability and defining its coefficient according to the operating state of wind power generators. In addition, the calculating method of parameters in VIC is also discussed according to the principles of primary frequency regulation and inertia response of synchronous generators. Then, by introducing the capability coefficient into the proportion-differential virtual inertia control (PD-VIC) for power coordination, a coordinated virtual inertia control (C-VIC) strategy is developed, with the consideration of the difference in frequency regulation capability between wind power generators. The proposed control method can not only give full play to the frequency regulation capability of wind power generators, decrease the movements of the pitch angle control system but also bring some self-coordination capability to different wind power generators thus to avoid a secondary drop in system frequency. The simulations and experiments prove the proposed method to be effective and practicable.

제동 장치를 이용한 차량통합운동제어시스템 개발 (Development of Vehicle Integrated Dynamics Control System with Brake System Control)

  • 이 논문은 횡방향 안정성 및 조향성능 개선을 위한 차량 통합운동제어시스템(IDCB)의 개발에 관한 것이다. IDCB의 개발을 위하여 8자유도의 차량 모델 및 비선형 관측기를 설계하였다. 퍼지 로직 제어 방법 및 슬라이딩 모드 제어 방법을 이용하여 전륜 및 후륜의 제동압력을 독립적으로 제어하여 차량의 요 속도 및 횡방향 미끄러짐 각이 목표값을 추종하도록 하였다. 결과를 살펴보면 비선형 관측기는 만족할 만한 수준의 관측 결과를 보여주었다. 개발된 IDBC는 다양한 노면 조건 및 운전 조건에서 요속도 및 횡방향 미끄러짐 각이 목표값을 잘 추종하도록 하여 차량의 횡방향 안정성 및 조향성을 개선시키는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

GPS/INS 통합 항법 시스템용 모니터링 시스템 설계 (Monitoring System Design for the GPS/INS Integrated Navigation System)

  • We propose the monitoring system scheme for the CPS/INS integrated navigation system. The design requirements of the monitoring system are suggested and the software scheme based on GUI is proposed. The proposed monitoring system consists of an I/O interface part, a navigation data display part, and a post-processing part. The I/O interface part is responsible for data communication between the monitoring system and a navigation computer unit. The navigation data display part provides various display methods to show the navigation data to user in real-time. The post-processing part collects the navigation data to analyze the performance of navigation system. The proposed monitoring system software was developed using the Visual C++ programming language and a van test was carried out to demonstrate the real-time operation of the monitoring system. The test result shows that the proposed monitoring system can be effectively applied to the CPS/INS integrated navigation system.

  • The PEFP (Proton Engineering Frontier Project) is constructing a 100MeV proton Linac (Linear Accelerator). The 20 MeV 20 mA proton beam has been serviced for an application in the fields of material, biological, information technology and medical sciences. For a stable and efficient acceleration of a proton beam, the control requirements must be optimized by studying various control methods. We propose that the integrated control system for the Linac machine components must be based on a distribution control method to improve a centralized control system. Based on EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) real-time software, the VME (Versa Module European package format) IOC (Input Output Controller) was developed under cross development environment with a RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) PowerPC system. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of distributed control system using the VME-based EPICS middleware for various components of the large proton accelerator.

  • One of the main problems in modern factories is that most of the plants utilize programmable devices from a wide range of manufactures and each requires its own proprietary protocol and interface. To avoid this type of problems a Integrated Control System is proposed that prevents these multi-vendor environments. The paper describes the architecture of the system and discusses the benifits that from its implementation can be derived.
