As the public interest in environmental issues increased, the "Act On The Integrated Control Of Pollutant-Discharging Facility" was enacted. Through the integrated environmental pollution prevention act in which 19 industries with large environmental impacts are sequentially applied, pollutants can be managed in a medium-integrated manner and integrated permission of the business unit is possible and BAT can be applied to enable a scientific and proactive environmental management system. This study analyzed the overview of BAT reference documents(BREF), BAT setting procedure and method, and then suggested the development direction BAT and BAT-AEL monitoring method of a Electricity and Steam production facility.
In this paper, we consider the stabilization problem of nonstandard singularly perturbed systems by using state feedback. Different fro the existing sequenetial designn procedures, we propose a parallel design method to construct the stabilizing controller. The method involves solving two completely independent algebraic Riccati equations.

For admitting a hard real-time connection to an ATM network, it is required that the end-새둥 delays of cells belong-ing to the connection meet their deadlines without violating the guarantees already provided to the currently active connections. There are two kinds of methods to analyze the end-to-end delay in an ATM network. A decomposed method analyzes the worst case delay for each switch and then computes the total delay as the sum of the delays at individual switches. On the other hand, an integrated method analyzes all the switches involved in an inte-grated manner and derives the total delay directly. In this paper, we present an efficient and effecitive integrated method to compute the end-to-end delay. We evaluate the network performance under different system parameters and we compare the performance of the proposed method with the conventional decomposed and other integrated methods [1], [3], [5]-[9].
Most connections of steel structures exhibit flexible behaviour under cyclic loading. The flexible connections can be assumed as nonlinear rotational springs attached to the ends of each beam. The nonlinear behaviour of the connections can be considered by suitable moment-rotation relationship. Time-history analysis by direct integration method can be used as a powerful technique to determine the nonlinear dynamic response of the structure. In conventional numerical integration, the response is evaluated for a series of short time increments. The limitations on the size of time intervals can be removed by using Chen and Robinson improved time history analysis method, in which the integrated displacements are used as the new variables in integrated equation of motion. The proposed method permits longer time intervals and reduces the computational works. In this paper the nonlinearity behaviour of the structure is summarized on the connections, and the step by step improved time-history analysis is used to calculate the dynamic response of the structure. Several numerical calculations which indicate the applicability and advantages of the proposed methodology are presented. These calculations illustrate the importance of the effect of the nonlinear behaviour of the flexible connections in the calculation of the dynamic response of steel frames.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of integrated science inquiry teaming method through literature materials on the learner's science concept formation, inquiry ability, and attitude related to science when it was applied to the unit 'The temperature of atmosphere and winds', 'The journey of water' in the 5th grade, and to find out the effect on science learning according to teaming styles. To study these subjects, 4 classes of 5th grade in J elementary school in Busan were selected. The result of this study were as follows: First, Integrated science inquiry learning method through literature materials was more effective for concept formation than conventional teaching method. In science inquiry ability, there was not significant difference at all between the comparison group and the experimental group. In attitude related to science, the experimental group showed significant difference only in the interest in occupation related to science. The visual modality learners within the experimental group showed significantly higher statistics than the other modality learners in the post-investigation into the science concept and there was significant difference between the visual and the kinesthetic modality learners in the result of post-test on science inquiry ability.
In order to apply a static fault-tree (FT) method to a system or a plant whose configuration changes dynamically, condition gates and a post processing method are used to effectively accommodate these changes. An operator's performance change, which can be caused by these configuration changes, should also be considered to assess the risk to a plant in a more realistic manner. This study aims to develop an integrated framework to accommodate various configuration changes and their effect on an operator’s performance by using the FT model. We applied a condition-based human reliability assessment (CBHRA) method to consider various conditions endured by an operator. That is, we integrated the CBHRA method with the conventional post processing method for modeling the system configuration changes. The effect of the condition monitoring systems installed in a plant is also considered. In this study, we show an example application of the integrated framework to a probabilistic safety assessment for the shutdown phase of a nuclear power plant.

This study is to concern about the effort of architectural practice to realize the sustainable architecture. It is necessary to know about the integrated design method which combines the passive design method with the active design method from the initial design phase. One case study is followed to explain the method. Integrated design starts from defining the project and goal setting, site evaluation, design concept, design optimization, documents and specifications, bidding and construction and post occupancy evaluation followed respectively. In order to construct the sustainable design, sophisticated understanding about nature and its' principle is important and adaptable application of nature and climate depending on location is followed. In conclusion, architects and specialists of sustainable design should make an effort more study.
Since GPS signals are vulnerable to interference and obstruction, many alternate aiding systems have been proposed to integrate with an inertial navigation system. Among these alternate systems, the vision-aided method has become more attractive due to its benefits in weight, cost and power consumption. This paper proposes a loosely-coupled vision/INS integrated navigation method which can work in GPS-denied environments. The proposed method improves the navigation accuracy by correcting INS navigation and sensor errors using position and attitude outputs of a landmark based vision navigation system. Furthermore, it has advantage to provide redundant navigation output regardless of INS output. Computer simulations and the van tests have been carried out in order to show validity of the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method works well and gives reliable navigation outputs with better performance.

High-speed feed drive systems have been widely used in the manufacturing and semiconductor industries. Specifications for high-speed systems require more advanced capabilities than conventional feed drive systems. It is necessary to devise special design concepts to achieve the level of performance for high-speed feed drive systems. In this paper, an integrated design method is proposed for high-speed feed drive systems in which the interactions between mechanical and electrical subsystems ought to be considered simultaneously during the design process. Based on the integrated design method, a nonlinear optimal design procedure of mechanical subsystems considering the Abbe and radius errors is accomplished through the design process of electrical subsystems satisfying the control stability and the saturation condition of actuators as well as the relative stability. Both mechanical and electrical parameters are considered as design variables. Simulations and numerical case studies show that the integrated design method of high-speed feed drive systems creates results satisfying the desired performances of mechatronic systems.

High temperature vacuum furnaces or high standard electric furnaces demand high technology level and high production cost. Therefore, an iterative design process and the optimization approach under integrated computing environment are required to reduce the development risk. Moreover, it also required to develop an integrated design software that can manage the centralized database system between factory and design department, and the automated furnace design and analysis. The developed software is dedicated to the development of the vacuum (electric) furnaces. Based on the distribute middleware system, the GUI module, the CAD module, the thermal analysis module and the optimization module are integrated. For the DBMS, Microsoft Access is employed, the GUI is developed using Visual Basic language, and AutoCAD is utilized for the configuration design. By investigating the analysis code interface, the analysis and optimization process, and the data communication method, the overall system architecture, the method to integrate the optimizer and ana lysis codes, and the method to manage the data flow are proposed and verified through the optimal furnace design.
