FMS의 생산계획 및 일정계획을 위한 의사결정을 위한 의사결정 지원시스템의 개발 (Development of an integrated decision support system for FMS production planning and scheduling problems)

  • This paper discusses planning and scheduling problems for efficient utilization of an FMS and presents an integrated decision support system for FMS production planning and scheduling problems. The decision support system, FMSDS(Flexible Manufacturing Systems Decision Support System), includes of data of handling module, part selection module, loading module, load adjusting module, scheduling module and simulation module etc. This paper includes the solution methodology of each subproblem. And an integrated interface scheme between the subproblems is presented. The interface scheme considers the relationships between the subproblems and generates solution using hierarchical and looping approaches. FMSDS is made up of six alternative models considering 3 loading objectives and 2 production order processing strategies. Performance comparisons among 6 alternatives and other decision support systems are shown using the non-terminating simulation techniques.

  • This paper presents a design and implementation of an intelligent-integrated production-logistics systems. The situation considered here is that there are multiple manufacturing plants and multiple distribution centers. Effective distribution resource and production planning are required to reduce inventory cost and to avoid inventory shortage. We propose an intelligent forecasting scheme of each distribution centers, adaptive inventory replenishment planning, distribution resource planning, and integrated production planning system. In forecasting a huge number of on-line model identification is performed using neural network approximation capability. An efficient adaptive replenishment planning and distribution resource planning are also presented in connection with forecasting scheme. An appropriate production is also requested based on production lead-time and the results of distribution planning. Experimental simulations are presented to verify the proposed approach using real data.

  • In this research, we consider an integrated manufacturing/distribution planning problem in supply chain (SC) which has non-integer time lags. We focus on a capacitated manufacturing planning and capacity allocation problem for the system. We develop a mixed binary integer linear programming (MBLP) model and propose an efficient heuristic procedure using an adaptive genetic algorithm, which is composed of a regeneration procedure for evaluating infeasible chromosomes and the reduced costs from the LP-relaxation of the original model. The proposed an adaptive genetic algorithm was tested in terms of the solution accuracy and algorithm speed during numerical experiments. We found that our algorithm can generate the optimal solution within a reasonable computational time.

  • We consider a Direct Input Output Manufacturing System(DIOMS) which has a munber of machine centers placed along a built-in Automated Storage/Retrieval System(AS/RS). The Storage/Retrieval (S/R) machine handles parts placed on pallets for the machine centers located at either one or both sides of the As/Rs. This report studies the operational aspect of DIOMS and determines the optimal operating policy by combining computer simulation and genetic algorithm. The operational problem includes: input sequencing control, dispatching rule of the S/R machine, machine center-based part type selection rule, and storage assignment policy. For each operating policy, several different policies are considered based on the known research results. In this report, using the computer simulation and genetic algorithm we suggest a method which gives the optimal configuration of operating policies within reasonable computation time.

  • In this paper we propose a framework of an open architectured manufacturing system base on CORBA middleware. The manufacturing system consists of four configurable software modules 9mchine control module, database module, monitoring module, and operation module). Each module is distributed through the network and integrated with CORBA middleware technology. CORBA Characteristics including independence from programming languages, computing platforms and networking protocols makes us to easily develop new applications and to effectively integrate new module into existing distributed systems. The CORBA program used in this study is The ACE ORB (TAO) developed by the laboratory in Washington University.

  • Networking for manufacturing is gaining importance as a nerve system of computer-integrated manufacturing(CIM). Among the various network types, the most inexpensive type called fieldbus is specifically aimed to interconnect simple devices such as sensors and actuators. For this purpose, there are several choices of the protocol such as Profibus, FIP, Foundation Fieldbus, and IEC/ISA fieldbus. This paper presents the simulation results of Profibus and FIP. Both protocols has been simulated in order to evaluate the performance such as transmission delay and throughput under different protocol parameter setting and traffic conditions.

  • We will introduce our new concept deposition system for SMOLED manufacturing in this conference. This system is designed to deposit organic and metal material to downward to overcome the limit of substrate size and process tact time hurdle for OLED mass production, and is organized with organic deposition chamber, substrate pre-cleaning chamber, metal deposition chamber and encapsulation system. These entire process chambers are integrated with linear type substrate transfer system. We also compare our new SMOLED manufacturing system with conventional vacuum deposition systems, and show basic organic thin film property data, organic material deposition property data, and basic device property.

  • For the effective operation of manufacturing system, FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) and CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing) system are developed. In these systems, a machine tool is the target of integration in last 3 decades. In nowadays, the conventional concept of machine tools is changing to the autonomous manufacturing device based on knowledge-evolution through applying advanced information technology in which open architecture controller, high speed network and internet technology are contained. In this environment, a machine tool is not the target of integration but the subject of cooperation. In the future, a machine tool will be more improved in the form of a knowledge-evolution based device. In order to develop the knowledge-evolution based machine tools, this paper proposes the structure of knowledge evolution in M2M(Machine To Machine) and the scheme of a dialogue agent among agent-based modules such as a sensory module, a dialogue module, and an expert system. The dialogue agent has a role of interfacing with another machine for cooperation. To design the dialogue agent module in M2M environment, FIPA-OS and ping agent based on FIPA-OS are analyzed in this study. Through this, it is expected that the dialogue agent module can be more efficiently designed and the knowledge-evolution based machine tools can be hereafter more easily implemented.
