In this paper, a new interleaving method for spatially-multiplexed multi-input-multi-output (SM-MIMO) scheme in an integrated mobile satellite and terrestrial system is proposed. In the proposed scheme, the transmitted bits for satellite path are interleaved in an innovative way to make sure that bits multiplied with different channel gains will be located alternatively in one received codeword after demapping, in order to compensate the performance degradation due to high-correlation of the satellite path. In addition, the interleaver can be implemented in a computationally efficient way and with the minimum time delay.

This research conducted a comparative analysis of two communication systems. The first system utilizes a conventional series configuration consisting of a symbol-rate least mean square (LMS) equalizer followed by a timing recovery loop. The second system introduces an innovative approach that integrates a symbol-rate LMS equalizer and a timing recovery component within a single loop, allowing mutual feedback between the two blocks. In this integrated system, the equalizer also provides timing error information, thereby eliminating the requirement for a separate threshold error detector. This study examines the performance curves of both system configurations. The simulation results revealed that the integrated system may offer improved stability in terms of multiple transmission challenges, including phase and frequency offsets and intersymbol interference. Further analysis and discussion highlight the significant insights and implications of the proposed architecture. Overall, the present findings provide an alternative perspective on the joint implementation of equalization and timing recovery in communication systems.
Beginning in the late 19th century, construction of skyscrapers spread throughout Chicago, New York City, and then the world as demand of space in buildings and increase of cost of land. With this change curtain wall systems have evolved to be more visually complex; these unique profiles of the skyscraper became powerful images and symbols of our cities. A curtain wall is defined as usually aluminum-framed wall containing in-fills of glass and metal panels. The framing is attached to the building structure and does not carry the floor or roof loads of the building.
Nuclear energy programs around the world increasingly find themselves at the nexus of potentially conflicting demands from both domestic and international stakeholders. On one side, the rapid growth in demand for electricity coupled with the goal of reducing carbon emissions calls for a significant expansion of nuclear energy. On the other, stakeholders are seeking ever greater safety, environmental, security, and nonproliferation assurances before consenting to the construction of new nuclear energy facilities. Satisfying the demand for clean energy supplies will require nuclear energy operators to find new and innovative ways to build confidence among stakeholders. This paper discusses two related concepts which can contribute to meeting the needs of key stakeholders in cost effective and efficient ways. Structured processes and tools for assessing stakeholder needs can build trust and confidence while facilitating the "designing-in" of information collection systems for new facilities to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Integrated approaches to monitoring facilities and managing the resulting data can provide stakeholders with continued confidence while offering operators additional facility and process information to improve performance.

Productivity has been a wide-ranging challenge for the construction industry, both in Australia and globally. Particularly in Western Australia's construction and resources sectors, continuously low productivity will potentially discourage future investments. The emergence of the global marketplace necessitates that the supply chain needs to focus on the concept of the holistic efficiency. The isolated geographical position of Australia only exacerbates this phenomenon. In recent years, Building Information Modelling (BIM) has been suggested as an efficient way to help productivity improve and information management throughout supply chains. This keynote talk will focus on discussing ways of implementing BIM to enhance site productivity focusing on Western Australia's construction projects. It will show new trends of its applications to accomplish an innovative way in construction project management. The talk will also give an insightful summary of integrated methods with state-of-the-art technologies backboned by the BIM cases from construction and oil and gas industry projects.

Knowledge of the relationship between the hip and spine is essential in the effort to minimize instability and improve outcomes following total hip arthroplasty (THA). A detailed yet straightforward preoperative imaging workup can provide valuable information on pelvic positioning, which may be helpful for optimum placement of the acetabular cup. For a streamlined preoperative assessment of THA candidates, classification systems with a capacity for providing a more personalized approach to performance of THA have been introduced. Familiarity with these systems and their clinical application is important in the effort to optimize component placement and reduce the risk of instability. Looking ahead, the principles of the hip-spine relationship are being integrated using emerging innovative technologies, promising further streamlining of the evaluation process.
The purpose of this study is to examine the works of choreographer Philippe $Decoufl{\acute{e}}$ and the performance costumes designer Philippe Guillotel, and identify the intrinsic values shown in the formative characteristics in their works. And it proposes a vision and a direction for the development and performance of modern fashion phenomenon of media convergence performing arts complex. The results were as follows. First, the performance characteristics shown in Philippe $Decoufl{\acute{e}}$'s art pattern applies dynamic improvisation, decategorization reflected in the media interactivity, time and space of a variable scalability, complex artistic genres and transcends cultural boundaries. Second, the characteristics of the performance costume can be described as a co-existence between dynamics of aesthetic layers, 'Media body' represented by the interaction of the compounds with the technology, and integrated variable expandability. And aesthetic values inherent in the performance costumes are summarized as abstraction, playfulness, reproducibility, and theatricality. Modern fashion performance and limited production of the center 'costumes' in the fashion images can be used in diverse ways, and innovative marketing has gone through a change in image production. Metaphysical text of the advanced performance genre can be presented in a new perspective to fashion derivatives 'Media body'. And the aesthetics of popular culture kitsch, the grotesque, and surrealism in theater will produce creative stage direction.

This work discusses and evaluates the use of wireless and multi-sensor based technologies to develop UbiqBIOPARC, a new generation zoological park that has been created based on the zoo-immersion concept. It offers appropriate contextual information to zoo visitors, depending on their preferences and the environment in which they are positioned. It combines the flexibility of the iPhone SDK, the connectivity provided by 3G technologies, the location capabilities of GPS, and the orientation offered by a digital compass integrated in the device. In this document the overall architecture and the implementation steps followed to create this context-aware application are presented. We compare our system with respect to previous ones and demonstrate that UbiqBIOPARC is an example of how innovative context-aware applications can be built with the aid of GPS and compass features. Several real experiments have been carried out in order to evaluate performance and system behavior, and numerical results demonstrate the practicality offered by our application, while providing a quite reasonable performance in terms of delay, usability, and energy efficiency.
Recently, many companies are trying to survive in a competitive business environment and they employ various kinds of information systems. Business Process Management (BPM) system is a software system that integrated enterprise information systems based on processes, which is considered an essential element for managing inner and outer processes. Though the BPM system has been applied to major processes only so far, companies begin to extends target processes applied into enterprise wide. In such settings, not only exact but also efficient management of processes is required. The efficiency of BPM has two perspectives: one is the performance of users that handle assigned tasks, and the other is the performance of the Business Process (BP) engine that carries out execution of processes. In this paper, in order to deal with the seconde perspective, we develop Drum, Buffer, and Rope (DBR) method, which have been considered innovative Theory of Constraint (TOC) method in manufacturing domain, for efficient management of processes. A new method, BP-DBR, has been developed, and we show that it is effective for business processes. The effectiveness of the method has been proved in terms of efficiency measures such as average process completion time and average number of completed processes, through a series of simulations on real banking processes.
This research, conducted over a three-year period starting from 2020, was a collaborative project between practitioners in the field of VE design and the Korea Expressway Corporation, aimed at innovating the design VE project to construct an intelligent ICT-based smart highway and enhancing highway driving performance and customer satisfaction. The research included R&D support for payment and management systems integrated with IOT technology, the application of the developed prototype at highway sites, and analysis of user performance evaluation. Based on the Innovation Work Roadmap of the Korea Expressway Corporation, the research process involved collaboration between a public participation group and an expert group, considering the technical feasibility of data-based ICT technology through the National Idea VE Contest. The final VE design results were implemented at the Seongnam tollgate site with budget support from relevant departments, followed by a satisfaction survey. It is expected that the continuous contributions to achieving an ESG society, such as the increase in the number of customers using the tolling zone equipped with smart upgrades, along with their satisfaction rate, and the reduction in carbon emissions and total settlement time of highway users, will be sustained.
