  • In this paper, a rail-vibration controller of magnetic levitation system is designed and implemented. The target plant to be controlled is electro-magnetic type which is open-loop unstable, highly non-linear and time-varying system. The designed controller is validated by some kinds of experiments.

  • A Discrete Event Dynamic System is a system whose states change in response to the occurrence of events from a predefined event set. A major difficulty in developing analytical results for the systems is the lack of appropriate modeling techniques. This paper proposes the use of Real-time Temporal Logic as a modeling tool for the modeling and control of fixed-time traffic control problem which by way of a DEDS. The Real-time Temporal Logic Frameworks is extended with a suitable structure of modeling hard real-time constraints. Modeling rules are developed for several specific situations. It is shown how the graphical model can be translated to a system of linear equations and constraints.

  • A control strategy for a dynamic system under Irregular disturbance by using stochastic controller is developed. In order to design stochastic controller. system dynamic model in real domain is transformed dynamic moment equation in stochastic domain by F-P-K approach. A study of real time control technique for stochastic controller is presented. The performance of stochastic controller is verified through experiment used by real time control technique method.

  • A dimmable ballast system for the electrodeless fluorescent lamp is proposed. The proposed scheme is composed of the electronic ballast and the wireless communication part. They both are realized with one EPLD (Erasable Programmable Logic Device). The dimming levels of each lamps can be controlled by a management system through wireless communication technology. 10 ballasts are used for the group lighting system and the experiment results show the system works well.

  • This paper presents an feed-forward neural network design instead PI controller for the speed control of an Induction Motor. The design employs the training strategy with Neural Network Controller(NNC) and Neural Network Emulator(NNE). Emulator identifies the motor by simulating the input and output map. In order to update the weights of the Controller. Emulator supplies the error path to the output stage of the controller using backpropagation algorithm. and then Controller produces an adequate output to the system due to neural networks learning capability. Therefore it becomes adjustable to the system with changing characteristics caused by a load. The speed control based on neural networks for induction motor is implemented by a vector controlled induction motor. The simulation results demonstrate that actual motor speed with neural network system well follows the reference speed minimizing the error and is available to implement on the vector control theory.

  • This paper proposed to a neural network based fuzzy control (neuro-fuzzy control) technique for attitude control of helicopter with strongly dynamic nonlinearities and derived a helicopter aerodynamic torque equation of helicopter and the force balance equation. A neuro-fuzzy system is a feedforward network that employs a back-propagation algorithm for learning purpose. A neuro-fuzzy system is used to identify nonlinear dynamic systems. Hence, this paper presents methods for the design of a neural network(NN) based fuzzy controller(that is, neuro-fuzzy control) for a helicopter of nonlinear MIMO systems. The proposed neuro-fuzzy control determined to a input-output membership function in fuzzy control and neural networks constructed to improve through learning of input-output membership functions determined in fuzzy control.

  • We study the transient stability control problem for electric power system. Passivity-based control method is used to obtain transient stability. We propose a method which uses neural network to obtain passivity and the transient stability, and compare the simulation result with that of speed gradient method which was developed by other researchers.
