  • The direct instantaneous torque control (DITC) method is presented in this paper, which enables torque to be generated during all region and instantaneous torque control to be possible. The hysteresis control mode with the compared value between given torque and instantaneous output torque as input is applied in respect region. The output torque function, that is instantaneous output torque with the variation of current and position of rotor, is achieved by experiment. In this control mode the torque subsection function and current control are not needed. The turn on angle with variation of load torque and speed is only selected and turn off angle can be neglected. The validity of method is tested by simulation and experiment.

  • Although many papers about the interleaved boost converter(IBC) have been published, there are, unfortunately, no analytical and rigorous expressions for steady-state operation of the N-phase IBC. To understand the operating characteristics of the N-phase IBC, the averaged state equation and the general steady-state solutions are derived in this paper. The general expressions of the current unbalance due to the parameter mismatch, the inductor and input current ripples, and the output voltage ripple are also presented. Through the analytical expressions presented, the steady-state characteristics of the N-phase IBC are analyzed theoretically and verified experimentally.

  • Generally, fuel cell has characteristics of low voltage, large current and voltage variation under load change. Therefore, DC output voltage of fuel cell is too low to convert into AC with high efficiency and good performance. For this reason, fuel cell generating system is composed of DC-DC converter and inverter in cascade. This paper used 2-phase boost DC-DC converter to obtain low distortion waveform and reduce input-output current ripple, and discussed inverter which can be operated in independent drive mode and utility line interface drive mode. Then, the change of modes can be achived smoothly.

  • This paper proposes an interleaved five-level boost converter based on a switched-capacitor network. The operating principle of the converter under the CCM mode is analyzed. A high voltage gain, low component stress, small input current ripple, and self-balancing function for the capacitor voltages in the switched-capacitor networks are achieved. In addition, a three-loop control strategy including an outer voltage loop, an inner current loop and a voltage-balance loop has been researched to achieve good performances and voltage-balance effect. An experimental study has been done to verify the correctness and feasibility of the proposed converter and control strategy.

  • In this paper, electronic ballast with Interleaved Boost Cell is presented. The proposed topology is based on a single-stage ballast which combines a boost converter and a half-bridge series resonant inverter High power factor and low THD(reduction of current ripple) are achieved by using the boost semi-stage operating in discontinuous conduction mode, and inverter semi-stage operated above resonant frequency to provide zero voltage switching is employed to ballast the fluorescent lamp. The experimental results from the ballast system with fluorescent lamps have demonstrated the feasibility of the proposed electronic ballast.

  • In this paper, the new control algorithm is proposed that compensates instantaneously the active and reactive components of the input currents by the synchronous d,q axis conversion of a single-phase current in controlling the single-phase AC/DC parallel converters for a high speed train. The leakage inductance of a transformer was used as a boost inductance and the ripple of a transformer's primary current was reduced considerably by the parallel operation of the two converters with a proper switching phase-shift. The stable and fast control response characteristic is certificated by a simulation.

  • In this paper, The authors study the boost Regulator as a DC-DC Converter like a power supply and describe the investigation result about the two phase with combined boost regulator which has the same effect that the switching frequency of the solid-state-switch is two times. As a result, the ripple of the input current and output current is better improved.

  • Interleaved Dual Boost(IDB) converter can reduce current ripple, switching loss and harmonics without filter in input power line. Moreover, this improve power factor. In this paper, we will use the state average methode and small signal analysis at the Interleaved dual boost converter. 4-type controllers were designed by using control transfer function. The result of these controller simulations is analyzed and proposed a proper controller at IDB

  • This paper presents a microprocessor controlled digital ballast for HID lamps, which gives intelligent features such as a precise power control, optimum ignition voltage and detection of end of life. Average current mode PFC is employed for reducing EMI and a universal input. Direct spread spectrum is done by applying 1 KHz triangular wave for removing acoustic resonance. This frequency modulation of 1 KHz gives also low EMI level and no ripple on lamp current. The microprocessor controls the voltage of DC-bus, the voltage of ignition pulses, the power of output and the bandwidth of spread spectrum. A 250W digital ballast is implemented with an efficiency of 93% and a maximum EMI level of 55 ㏈${\mu}$V.

  • This paper presents a high-efficiency CMOS PWM DC-DC buck converter. It generates a constant output voltage(1-2.8V), from an input voltage(3.4-3.9V). Inductor-based type is chosen and inductor current is controlled with PWM operation. The designed circuit consists of power switch, Pulse Width Generation, Buffer, Zero Current Sensing, Current Sensing Circuit, Clock & Ramp generation, V-I Converter, Soft Start, Compensator and Modulator. Switching Frequency is 1MHz, It operates in CCM when the load current is more than 40mA, and the maximum efficiency is 98.71% at 100mA. Output voltage ripple is 0.98mV(input voltage:3.5V, output voltage:2.5V). The performance of the designed circuit has been verified through extensive simulation using a CMOS $0.18{\mu}m$ technology.
