  • Text data has always accounted for a major portion of the world's information. As the volume of information increases exponentially, the portion of text data also increases significantly. Text classification is therefore still an important area of research. LDA is an updated, probabilistic model which has been used in many applications in many other fields. As regards text data, LDA also has many applications, which has been applied various enhancements. However, it seems that no applications take care of the input for LDA. In this paper, we suggest a way to map the input space to a reduced space, which may avoid the unreliability, ambiguity and redundancy of individual terms as descriptors. The purpose of this paper is to show that LDA can be perfectly performed in a "clean and clear" space. Experiments are conducted on 20 News Groups data sets. The results show that the proposed method can boost the classification results when the appropriate choice of rank of the reduced space is determined.

  • In this paper, we propose the method in which multimedia data simultaneously transfers to the main memory and the multimedia processor from the network interface card to improve bottleneck of system bus through analysis for architecture of video conference system and input/output model. The proposed method can reduce the number of system bus accesses, bus cycles, data transmission time and compression ratio of video data in the video conference system. We compared the performance between the proposed method and the conventional methods in the multi-party video conference systems. The simulation results showed that the proposed method was reduced the transmission time of multimedia data than the conventional method.

  • This paper presents a novel harmony search (HS)-based data-driven single input rule modules (SIRMs)-connected fuzzy inference system (FIS) for the prediction of stress in externally prestressed tendon. The proposed method attempts to extract causal relationship of a system from an input-output pairs of data even without knowing the complete physical knowledge of the system. The monotonicity property is then exploited as an additional qualitative information to obtain a meaningful SIRMs-connected FIS model. This method is then validated using results from test data of the literature. Several parameters, such as initial tendon depth to beam ratio; deviators spacing to the initial tendon depth ratio; and distance of a concentrated load from the nearest support to the effective beam span are considered. A computer simulation for estimating the stress increase in externally prestressed tendon, ${\Delta}f_{ps}$, is then reported. The contributions of this paper is two folds; (i) it contributes towards a new monotonicity-preserving data-driven FIS model in fuzzy modeling and (ii) it provides a novel solution for estimating the ${\Delta}f_{ps}$ even without a complete physical knowledge of unbonded tendons.

  • The relationships among multi-dimensional data (such as medical examination data) with ambiguity and variation are difficult to explore. The traditional approach to building a data classification system requires the formulation of rules by which the input data can be analyzed. The formulation of such rules is very difficult with large sets of input data. This paper first describes two classification approaches using back-propagation (BP) neural network and Mahalanobis distance (MD) classifier, and then proposes two classification approaches for multi-dimensional feature selection. The first one proposed is a feature selection procedure from the trained back-propagation (BP) neural network. The basic idea of this procedure is to compare the multiplication weights between input and hidden layer and hidden and output layer. In order to simplify the structure, only the multiplication weights of large absolute values are used. The second approach is Mahalanobis-Taguchi system (MTS) originally suggested by Dr. Taguchi. The MTS performs Taguchi's fractional factorial design based on the Mahalanobis distance as a performance metric. We combine the automatic thresholding with MD: it can deal with a reduced model, which is the focus of this paper In this work, two case studies will be used as examples to compare and discuss the complete and reduced models employing BP neural network and MD classifier. The implementation results show that proposed approaches are effective and powerful for the classification.

  • A recently the advancement of society, AI technology has made significant strides, especially in the fields of computer vision and voice recognition. This study introduces a system that leverages these technologies to recognize users through a camera and relay commands within a vehicle based on voice commands. The system uses the YOLO (You Only Look Once) machine learning algorithm, widely used for object and entity recognition, to identify specific users. For voice command recognition, a machine learning model based on spectrogram voice analysis is employed to identify specific commands. This design aims to enhance security and convenience by preventing unauthorized access to vehicles and IoT devices by anyone other than registered users. We converts camera input data into YOLO system inputs to determine if it is a person, Additionally, it collects voice data through a microphone embedded in the device or computer, converting it into time-domain spectrogram data to be used as input for the voice recognition machine learning system. The input camera image data and voice data undergo inference tasks through pre-trained models, enabling the recognition of simple commands within a limited space based on the inference results. This study demonstrates the feasibility of constructing a device management system within a confined space that enhances security and user convenience through a simple real-time system model. Finally our work aims to provide practical solutions in various application fields, such as smart homes and autonomous vehicles.

  • A new discretization algorithm for nonlinear systems with delayed input is proposed. The algorithm is represented by Taylor series expansion and ZOH assumption. This method is applied to the sampled-data representation of a nonlinear system with the time-delay input. Additionally, the delay in input is time varying and its amplitude is bounded. The maximum time-delay in input is assumed to be two sampling periods. The mathematical expressions of the discretization method are presented and the ability of the algorithm is tested for some of the examples. The computer simulation proves the proposed algorithm discretizes the nonlinear system with the variable time-delay input accurately.

  • In superconductive digital logic circuits, D2 cells can be used to compose a decoder an important component of an Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU). In this wor, we simulated D2 cell by using WRspice. D2 cell has one input, one switch input, and two outputs (output1 and output2). D2 cell functions in such way that output1 follows the input and output2 is the complement of the input data, when the switch input is "0, ". However, when there is a switch input "1, " the opposite output signals are generated. In this paper, we optimized a D2 cell by using WRspice, and obtained the minimum margin of 26%. Our optimized D2 cell will play a key role in the ALU fabrication.the ALU fabrication.

  • The mechanical and microstructural properties in high heat input welds of home-made SM 50 high strength steels were investigated and compared with the manual shielded metal arc welds. Also, the fracture toughnesses of the simulated weld-bonds with various thermal cycles were quantatively examined in order to provide the basic data for further development of the high strength steels for high input welding. Main results obtained are as follows. (1) The embrittlement degree and the coarse grained region in high heat input welds appear to be extraordinarily large compared with the manual shielded metal arc welds, while the difference in change of nicrohardness is not so large in both welds. (2) The embrittleness in high heat input weld-bonds is mainly affected by the size of coarse grain rather than the microstructure. (3) The fracture toughness in high heat input weld-bonds can be improved by controlling the cooling rate from 800.deg.C to 500.deg.C rapidly.
