배기가스가 혼합된 고온 공기류에서의 CO 소멸특성에 대한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Study of CO Reduction Characteristics in High-temperature Air Stream Diluted with Exhaust Gas)

  • The CO reduction characteristics of hot air stream diluted with exhaust gas in a perfectly stirred reactor (PSR) were investigated numerically. The dilution ratio ($\Omega$), inlet temperature ($T_{in}$), and residence time ($\tau$) were considered as parameters to investigate the effects of those on the emission indices for CO and $CO_2$ (EICO and $EICO_2$). The roles of dominant reactions and the production rates of major species were analyzed. It was found from the EICO trend that the supplied CO in the air stream was consumed. The EICO increased negatively with $T_{in}$ at fixed $\tau$ regardless of $\Omega$. However, the magnitude of EICO and minimum inlet temperature for CO reduction showed complicated trend according to the variation of $\tau$. It was identified that the OH radical, generated from the reactions, $O_2+H{\leftrightarrow}O+OH$ and $2OH{\leftrightarrow}H+H_2O$, affected the CO reduction by the reaction, $CO+OH{\leftrightarrow}H+CO_2$. However, the CO emission ratio increased at sufficiently high inlet temperature range due to the thermal dissociation of $CO_2$.

  • 고체 램제트 추진기관에서도 일반 로켓 추진기관에서와 같이 Isp 즉 추력을 증대시키기 위하여 고체 입자들을 연로에 함유시킨다. 이러한 고체입자가 포함된 연료들은 매우 짧은 연소실 체류시간 때문에 연소 효율의 증대가 필수적이며 흡입공기 온도가 중요한 역할을 한다. 이 흡입공기 온도가 램제트 성능에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 연소실 흡입공기 온도에 영향을 미치는 인자는 자유 유동장 즉 대기 온도와 비행 마하수이다. 램제트 연소실에서의 유속 또한 중요한 역할을 함으로 유속 전 영역 즉 정체상태부터 음속까지에 대하여 조사하였다.

  • 터보프롭 엔진(PT6A-62)의 정상상태 및 동적 성능모사를 위한 프로그램을 개발하였다. 특히 이 프로그램은 Flat-rated 성능특성과 압축기서지 및 압축기터빈 입구제한온도 초과 방지를 위한 한도제어 알고리즘을 포함하였다. 해석오차를 최소화 하기 위해 조합 오차 값을 이용한 구성품 성능 데이터의 보간 방법과 온도의 함수로서 계산된 정압비열가 비열비가 사용되었다. 개발된 정상상태 성능해석 프로그램은 고도, 비행속도, 블리드유량, 흡입구온도 및 압력, 제한출력등의 여러 조건을 고려 할 수 있으며, 천이상태 성능해석 프로그램은 일반모드와 압축기 서지 방지 모드, 터빈 제한온도 초과방지 모드로 선택하여 해석을 수행할 수 있도록 구성하였다.

  • R407C is considered as an alternative refrigerant to R22 for air conditioners. An experimental investigation was made to study the characteristics of the condensation heat transfer and pressure drop for R407C flowing in a fin-and-tube heat exchanger used for commercial air-conditioning units. Experiments were carried out under the conditions of inlet refrigerant temperature of 6$0^{\circ}C$ and refrigerant mass flux varying from 150 to 250 kg/$m^2$s for refrigerant side. The inlet air has dry bulb temperature of 35$^{\circ}C$ , relative humidity of 50% and air velocity varying from 0.8 to 1.6 m/s. Experiments show that air velocity increased by 25% is needed for R407C than that of R22 for subcooling temperature of 5$^{\circ}C$, which resulted in air-side pressure drop increase of 28.8% for R407C as compared to R22. As a consequence, in order to provide the same design condition of a condenser, the fan requires higher electric-power consumption with R407C than that with R22.

  • In this study, a cold aisle containment system was proposed among various strategies to reduce the energy waste by recirculation air from the hot aisle. To verify the effectiveness of the cold aisle containment system, a test bed which is similar to an actually existing server room was set up in the Internet Data Center(IDC) building. Comparative experiments, conventional open type cooling system and cold aisle containment system were carried out under actual conditions. The result revealed that the range of inlet temperature of the server system was $20{\sim}25^{\circ}C$ in an existing cooling system and the range of inlet temperature dropped below $20^{\circ}C$ by the cold aisle containment system. After all, cold aisle containment system was proved to be the solution for energy saving cooling system.

  • lower vibration than in any other small refrigerators. The experimental results of three types of pulse tube refrigerators are presented in this paper. The objectives of this study are to develop the design technology of the double inlet pulse tube refrigerator and acquire its application method. As a preliminary experiment, the refrigeration performances of the basic, orifice and double inlet pulse tube refrigerator were investigated. The lowest temperature obtained in this experiment was 34.4K. The refrigeration capacity at the optimum operating condition of the double inlet pulse tube refrigerator was 23W at 80K.

  • 고온개질기를 이용한 수증기 메탄 개질반응에 대해 실험 및 전산해석 기법을 이용하여 실제 개질기의 효율 및 개질기의 형상의 변화에 따른 열 분포 및 내부 유동에 대해서 연구하였다. 수증기 개질에 대한 반응모델은 Xu & Froment에 의해 개발된 수증기 반응 모델을 사용하였고, 그 결과로 고온개질기내에서 일어나는 화학반응은 Steam Reforming(SR), Water Gas Shift(WGS), Direct Steam Reforming(DSR) 반응이 다른 반응을 지배한다고 가정하였다. 고온개질기를 이용한 수증기 메탄 개질 반응 실험 결과로는 Steam Carbon Ratio(SCR)이 증가함에 따라 수소 수득율 또한 증가하고 일산화탄소와 메탄은 감소하는것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 입구가 한 개인 디자인과 두 개인 디자인을 비교, 분석하였을 때 입구가 두 개인 개질기보다 입구가 한 개인 개질기에서 열 분포 및 내부유동, 수소 수득율이 우수하다는 결과를 얻게 되었다.

  • In this study, in order to understand contents and ranges of design for the EGR Valve test system for improving quality and performance of EGR Valve, engine performance and exhaust gas characteristic of 3L-class diesel engine was analyzed. Experimental operation of engine performance test was performed with 50% engine load and 20% and 100% opening ratio of EGR Valve. From test of performance and exhaust gas characteristic of engine, torque output of engine and temperature and pressure of inlet and outlet of EGR Valve were measured. As a result, for design of EGR Valve test system, input fluid flow of EGR Valve must be set the same amount with exhaust gas flow that was below of engine speed of 2,500 rpm, and temperature of inlet of EGR Valve must be set under about $510^{\circ}C$. And the difference of temperature between inlet and outlet of EGR Valve must be over than about $200^{\circ}C$. Exhaust gas of inlet and outlet of EGR Valve were under 1 bar that was not considerable, and the difference of pressure between inlet and outlet of EGR Valve were under 1 bar that could not effect on mechanical operation of EGR Valve.

  • The experimental investigation on the inlet pressure of a large tilting pad journal bearing is studied. The continuous distribution of the film pressure and film thickness are measured along with the shaft speed and bearing load for various flow rates. Considerably large inlet pressure is observed at the entrance of each pad, especially lower pads. The inlet pressure increases with the increase of shaft speed as well as bearing load, but it is almost independent on the folw rate and the oil supply temperature. Because of the inlet pressure, the upper pads always keep up slight wedge film shape which are almost parallel to the journal surface, and spragging is not observed in the upper pads with no preload.

  • This study investigated the changes in performance and operating characteristics of an F-class gas turbine according to the change of working fluid from air to carbon dioxide. The revised gas turbine is the topping cycle of the semi-closed oxy-fuel combustion combined cycle. With the same turbine inlet temperature, the $CO_2$ gas turbine is expected to produce about 85% more power. The main contributor is the greater compressor mass flow and the added oxygen flow for the combustion. Compressor pressure ratio increases about 50%. However, the gas turbine efficiency reduces about 10 %. Modulation of inlet guide vane to reduce the compressor inlet mass flow, the major purpose of which is to reduce the compressor inlet Mach number, was also performed.
