시뮬레이션을 활용한 폰카메라 렌즈모듈 부품용 사출금형개발 (A Simulation Study on the Development of Injection Mold for the Parts of Phone Camera Lens Module)

  • 휴대폰 시장의 확산으로 인하여 휴대폰에 장착되는 카메라 렌즈모듈의 수요도 급증하고 있다. 렌즈모듈 부품의 경우 해상도의 증가에 따른 사출공정의 품질보증과 원가절감이라는 두 가지 목표를 달성해야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 더블카세트 방식의 금형구조를 이용하여 경통과 쉴드 두 종류의 제품을 개발하기 위해 시뮬레이션을 활용한 사례를 소개한다. 개발과정에서 두 종류의 시뮬레이션 기술을 활용하였는데, 첫 번째는 금형 설계단계에서 사출품의 성형성을 분석하기 위한 시뮬레이션(일명 Computer Aided Engineering)을 Mold Flow$^{TM}$를 사용하여 수행하였고, 두 번째는 사출기에 금형을 장착한 후 제품이 사출되어 취출하는 동작을 분석하기 위한 동작 시뮬레이션을 DPM Assembly$^{TM}$를 이용하여 수행하였다. 개발 결과 기존 방식에 비해 제품의 생산성이 300% 이상 증가하는 효과를 얻었다.

  • The runner system of the injection mould and the injection volume of the injection molding process greatly affect the quality of the produced part. The goal of this paper is the design of the runner system and the prediction of the injection volume for the injection moulding of a housing part of small-size air cleaner to improve the formability through the three-dimensional injection moulding analysis. The effects of the runner system of the mould on the injection moulding characteristics are investigated. From the results of the investigation, a proper design of the runner system with uniform filling characteristics and the minimized defect formation is obtained. In addition, the influence of the moving distance of the screw on filling characteristics, weldline formation and deformation characteristics is examined. From the results of the examination, an appropriate moving distance of the screw for the housing part of small-size air cleaner is estimated.

초정밀 광학렌즈의 복굴절 예측과 금형 전사성 (Verification for transcription of spherical radius and prediction of birefringence in injection molding optical lens)

  • This paper has been focused in developing of plastic lens with ultra-precision and low birefringence ability using by injection molding simulation tools. The simulation tools, $3D-Timon^{TM}\;and\;Asu-Mold^{TM}$ were applied to visualize indirectly the flow pattern of melted polymer enter the mould and the simulation results are verified as compared with the experimental results. Birefringence and polarized light generated in injection molding process was also calculated for each injection conditions and compared with .the pictures of experimented optical lens go through the polarized light plates device. A spherical radius of plastic optical lens transcribed from profile of mould core surface was measured to estimate the geometrical accuracy fer the each injection conditions. It is confirmed that the simulation results about flow pattern and polarized light area coincided in experimental results. It is known that increasing in thickness shrinkage at center of lens, the spherical radius is larger from comparing the graph measured spherical radius and the thickness shrinkage at center of lens

LCD Monitor 사출금형에 대한 연구 (A study of The Injection Mould of LCD Monitor)

  • Injection molded plastic parts have many surface defcts: Warpage, wedline, flowmark, zetting, scratching, shading and so on. In the desktop mnitor's case, Weld line have been one of the main surface defects. Nowadays in the pursuit of light weight of parts, one of the big problems of LCD Monitor thinks Warpage and surface shrinkage. In this paper, we introduce some instances for prevevting these defestcs in the side of mould drawing, parts drawing and processing condition. Based on these, we tried to find out the optimum processing conditions through repeatedly tried injection moulding after reflecting these instances.

Powder Blasting을 이용한 도광판의 Micro-Pattern 가공기술 (Machining Technology of Micro-Patterns in LGP by Powder Blasting)

  • Powder blasting technique was introduced to micromachine the micro patterns of circular and rectangular shape in LGP mould. The machinability of these patterns and matt treatment by powder blasting were verified. Then a prototype of LGP was injected by the developed LGP mould with micro patterns. Shape analysis of micro patterns and performance test of the injected LGP were carried out. The results showed printless LGP with micro patterns could be produced by just single injection using the mould with micro patterns, and powder blasting technique could be successfully applied to micrornachining of micro patterns and matt treatment of LGP mould.
