As FTA is spreading, it is becoming more and more necessary to improve the accuracy and reliability of the country of origin information at the domestic trading stage in preparation for the actual surveys expected to surge in the near future. However, there are many problems in collecting and managing information related to origin. It is pointed out that the shortage of export-oriented profits and the incentive for issuance of FTA-related profits, as well as the lack of information on the distribution and management of origin information of domestic manufacturing companies are also pointed out as important causes. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the efficiency of management and circulation of smooth FTA origin (comprehensive) certificate of Korean companies and to improve reliability through manipulation prevention by building prototype of origin information management system based on private block chain Hyperledger. The block chain, called Distributed Ledger or Trusted Internet, provides a technical infrastructure that enables various related companies to distribute origin information with high reliability and immediate distribution in the supply chain, but research on its application is still in the beginning stage.

As supply chains are globalized, multinational companies are trying to optimize distribution networks using a hub and spoke structure. In this hub and spoke network structure, multinational companies locate regional distribution centers at hub airports, which serve demands in their corresponding regions. Especially when customers put higher priority on the service lead-time, hinterlands of international hub airports become ideal candidate locations for the regional hub distribution centers. By utilizing excellent airport and logistics services from hub airports, regional distribution centers in the hub airports can match supply with demand efficiently. In addition, regional hub distribution centers may increase air cargo volume of each airport, which is helpful in the current extremely competitive airport industry. In this paper, we classified locational preferences into three primary categories including demand, service and risk and applied the analytic hierarchy process methodology to prioritize factors of locational preferences. Primary preference factors include secondary factors. Demand factor contains access to current and prospect markets. Service factor comprises airport and logistics perspectives. Service factor in terms of airport operations includes secondary factors such as airport service and connectivity. Service factor in terms of logistics operations contains infrastructure and logistics operations efficiency. Risk factor consists of country and business risks. We also evaluated competitiveness of Asian hub airports in terms of candidate location for regional hub distribution centers. The candidate hub airports include Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Narita and Incheon. Based on the analytic hierarchy process analysis, we derived strategic implications for hub airports to attract multinational companies' regional hub distribution centers.
This study reviewed current facts on overseas manufacturing factories of garment vendors that were launched in the countries that have a great influence of the Korean Wave, and investigated the influence of Korean Wave in its sourcing area. By doing so, this study aims to present basic data in order to help fabric and garment vendors to enter into the fashion markets of different countries through a local network. For data collection and analysis, Windows SPSS 19.0 was used for frequency analysis of the facts and figures of the local manufacturing factories. In-depth interviews regarding the current facts on local manufacturing factories and the influence of Korean Wave were conducted with 16 Korean garment manufacturing factories in Vietnam and 9 in Indonesia among the overseas garment companies that were registered in the Korean Apparel Industry Association. Through the interview, it was found that new companies should investigate custom tariffs, salary level of the local employees, and infrastructure prior to launching above all. Also, as a result of analyzing competitors and competitive advantages, good treatment of local employees and a good labor environment were noted the most. As for the influence of the Korean Wave, the image of Korea was positive and favorable, but it did not directly affect the preference for Korean companies. After investigating the obstacles that prevented the entrance into local markets, it was found that the rise in the salary level was the biggest hindrance.

The luxury car industry has grown 10.5 % every year from 2010 to 2014. For this reason, it is very important for automotive companies to improve profitability and brand value. High-performance brake systems have become an absolute necessity because of the increase in engine power and customer preference among other factors. Also, competing automotive companies actively reinforce domestic production in order to maintain quality and infrastructure for luxury cars. In this regard, we demonstrated new carbon ceramic brakes to improve brake reliability for luxury cars and to improve the competitiveness of automotive companies. Finally, we propose the next-generation braking technology by predicting technological evolution trends.
Logistics industry was changed after China join into the WTO. Compared with other countries, cost of logistics is very high in China. Besides, there are several problems with the demand basis, service and information technology of the third-party logistics. The forth-party logistics was appeared in logistics market in this context. The forth-party logistics was just become to develop in China so there are many problems recent years. Chinese government propose some solutions with the development of the fourth-party logistics such as the adjustment of the logistics industry policy, strengthening of the logistics information system and infrastructure, training logistics expertise. This research pointed out the obstacles in the development of the forth-party logistics in China by analyzing the present situation and the development strategy of some representative companies such as ANDE Logistics Company and Philips Logistics Company. The purpose of this paper is to research the development of the forth-party logistics in China by analyzing the problems with Chinese government and logistics companies, and finally bring up some solutions with these problems.
The integration of products and services is being expanded in both manufacturing and service companies such as in Apple's iPod & iTunes, Amazon's Kindle, and Hyundai Motor Company's Mozen. This phenomenon has recently accelerated due to multiple factors including market change, lessening of differences in quality of products or services, the paradigm of participation and sharing, and deindustrialization and evolution toward becoming a service economy. The objective of this paper is to investigate and analyze the status and characteristics of integration of products and services in Korean firms and to suggest policy directions promoting this integration. Towards this purpose, income statements from the Korea Listed Companies Association (KLCA) database of companies listed on the Korea Stock Exchange are analyzed regarding the servitization of manufacturing firms as well as the productization of service firms. In addition, this research investigates the Korean Innovation Survey 2011 database for the service sector and 2010 database for the manufacturing sector in order to evaluate R&D activity in each. In the manufacturing sector, the average ratio of service sales (servitization) was low at 0.208, with bias in the level and distribution of ratios associated with the manufacturing sector. 18 out of a total of 23 sectors (78%) have low servitization, showing there's a long way to go for servitization in the Korean manufacturing sector. In the service sector, the average ratio of product sales (productization) was 9.53%, which is relatively high compared to that of the manufacturing sector. However, the distribution of ratios is also biased, as with the manufacturing sector. Based on this analysis, policy directions are proposed in terms of 1) R&D, 2) concept boost, 3) R&D result spread, 4) statistics, 5) infrastructure and 6) green growth.

This article verifies the actual conditions of the Wonju area medical devices cluster for presentation of method for increasing promotion. It examines the general status of companies, reason for location, competitive power and supporting system with a questionnaire survey and in-depth research. The Wonju area has 79 medical device companies. It comprised 9% of total sales and 11% of export sales of korea medical devices in 2007. For enhancement of the Wonju area medical devices ability to accumulate and attract of medical device companies and front-line and back-line industries, the followings is needed, a supply of highly qualified man power, a support base for developing modem technology and information marketing, adequate infrastructure for housing and education system, methodologies for sustaining new business and innovation fund-raising programs and marketing, and provide the highest degree of education for CEO.
Purpose This paper presents a new method of classifying online platforms. It also explains how to apply the framework using case studies and generate new insight about platform strategies and policy development. Design/methodology/approach This paper focuses on the relationship between platforms, especially the hierarchy and power relations, and broadly classifies platforms as follows: content/services, meta information, app stores, operating systems, and cloud. Both the content/service platform and the meta information platform have matching as their main function. However, most content/services tend to collect and access information through meta-information platforms, so meta-information platforms are closer to infrastructure than content/service platforms. App store, operating system, and cloud can be said to be platforms of platforms. A small number of companies in the US and China dominate platforms of platforms, and become the recent development and regulatory targets of their respective governments. Findings We should be wary of the attempts to regulate domestic platforms by importing foreign regulations that ignore the hierarchical structure that our framework highlights. We believe that Korea's strategy to become a true platform powerhouse is clear. As one of the few countries with significant companies in the area of meta information platforms, it will be necessary to fully utilize the position and advance into the strategically important area of platforms of platforms. Furthermore, it is necessary to encourage world-class companies to appear in Korea in the app store, operating system, and cloud. To do so, the government needs to introduce promotion policies to strategically nurture such platforms rather than to regulate them.

It is expected that the global market for vessel repair and remodeling will grow up to the scale of about 25 billion dollars by 2023. Korea's shipbuilding industry is leading the world with its international competitiveness in design and production technology. The actual status of vessel repair industry, however, is poor as there are only two or three companies for vessel repair that can deal with large vessels in the area of Gyeongnam. The reason is that civil complaints are filed severely about environmental problems and environment-related regulations are so strict that it is fairly hard to get governmental approval for the operation of a vessel repair workplace. Domestic vessel repair companies mainly target small- and medium-sized vessels. There are only few workplaces that can carry out regular examination or repair work on large vessels such as LNG vessels, and due to the high price of vessel repair, most of the domestic repair work on large vessels including LNG vessels tends to be snatched by markets in Southeast Asia or China. Despite the tremendous domestic demand of Korea that has established the world's first shipbuilding industry and world's sixth biggest harbor infrastructure, its vessel repair industry can be said to be in very poor condition. In order to vitalize vessel repair industry, this study is aimed to analyze the environmental influence of vessel repair workplaces in Gyeongnam where vessel repair companies are concentrated and suggest standard processes by analyzing vessel repair processes precisely.

In modern management, leadership has become an essential strategy rather than a choice, and interest in coaching leadership is increasing. Additionally, companies face inevitable tasks such as sustainable management and ESG management, which are crucial aspects of corporate social responsibility. This is a global phenomenon, and social value management activities play a significant role in evaluating the worth of modern companies. ESG management is assessed as a decisive indicator for investors' decision-making based on various global guidelines. ESG is an important issue not only for large corporations but also for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The government is actively expanding infrastructure and providing support to enable SMEs to lead ESG management among domestic companies. However, research on the ESG management of SMEs is still insufficient, and existing ESG studies have primarily focused on financial indicators. Therefore, the necessity for empirical studies involving various variables is emphasized. This study analyzed the impact of coaching leadership on organizational innovation behavior and performance in SMEs, mediated by ESG management. According to the analysis, coaching leadership positively influences organizational innovation behavior and performance by promoting ESG management in SMEs. The findings indicate that coaching leadership has a positive impact on organizational innovation behavior and performance, while persuasion and participation of internal members are essential for success. Moreover, this study provides practical and policy implications, offering specific strategies for SMEs to effectively implement ESG management and ensure sustainability, thereby supporting long-term growth.
