Deregulations and market practices in power industry have brought great challenges to the system planning area. In particular, they introduce a variety of uncertainties to system planning. New techniques are required to cope with such uncertainties. As a promising approach, probabilistic methods are attracting more and more attentions by system planners. In small signal stability analysis, generation control parameters play an important role in determining the stability margin. The objective of this paper is to investigate power system state matrix sensitivity characteristics with respect to system parameter uncertainties with analytical and numerical approaches and to identify those parameters have great impact on system eigenvalues, therefore, the system stability properties. Those identified parameter variations need to be investigated with priority. The results can be used to help Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) and Independent System Operators (ISOs) perform planning studies under the open access environment.

A literature analysis for the planning and realization of the multimedia meta database and digital library's integrated information system was carried out to establish the various oceanographic resources in the Oceanographic Information Center, the first in Korea. The study targeted from printed matter, network resources, full-text and to VOD. The focus of the analysis lies in the providing practical integrated information retrieval service for oceanographic resources based on the framework of effective MODS metadata with network resources description. The analyses included oceanographic resources, multimedia information processing, MODS metadata descriptive elements, metadata classification, system organization, and retrieval for planning and implementation of the multimedia meta database system.

This study aims to integrate the simulation models for rural settlement planning (SimRusep) in the district level (Myon) area of rural counties. The SimRusep, which has two modules of key villages selection and spatial planning for the selected villages, consists of four sub-models such as the spatial location-allocation model of center villages (SLAMCV), the potential centrality evaluation model (PCEM), the land use planning model (LUPM), and the 3-dimensional spatial planning modeller (3DSPLAM). Basically, map data of the integrated system which can be operated on the UNIX environment is inputted and treated using GIS (ARC/INFO) and then its village planning results is graphically presented on the AutoCAD. In order to verify the practical applicabilities of the SimRusep, an administrative area, Ucheon-myun, HoengSung-gun, KangWon-do, was selected as a case study area. It was well operated in the strategic application trials considering application of each sub-model in the study area. The operation results of the SimRusep showed the possibilities of realtime simulation from the selection of key village to its final stereoscopic presentation of planned results. Alternative village plan proposals can be swiftly drafted, which means very practical support for decision making process and public participation.

The system is composed of interrelated modules for production planning, shop floor control, and inventory/material management. Rural amenity resources consist of natural, cultural and social resources. Some of resources have been surveyed in other institutes and organizations and information system about these resources has been constructed. Integrating with information of existing system or database is helpful to produce useful rural amenity resources information to users. This integration of distributed information is based on semantic integration. In this paper, we used ontology for semantic integration and introduced the method of external information integration using ontology. We designed ontology table to represent ontology in database and integrated distributed information using ontology. To examine the improvement of information service efficiency and the applicability, rural amenity resources information and tourist attraction information database were constructed and integrated. Also, the information service efficiency with information integration was evaluated using recall ratio and compared to the information service efficiency without information integration.

The purpose of this study was to test various variables that affect CRM performance in order to evaluate CRM performance. The results of the proposed research hypotheses are as follows; First, the IS based factors perform more important roles on system and information quality compared to organizational factors. Second, the variables of IS and planning capability playa role as a parameter. Third, among organizational factors, non-structural factors such as degrees of acceptance of business transition, support of CEO, and customer-orientation perform more important roles on CRM. Fourth, IS based factors have bigger Impact on information quality than system quality. Fifth, it was proven that IS quality, proposed as a parameter and as a dependant variable, and CRM have significant relations.

In this paper, new exploration mobile robot is presented. This mobile robot, called Robhaz-6W, is able to overcome hazardous terrains, recognize three dimensional terrain information and generate a path toward the destination by itself. We develop the passive four bar linkage mechanism adoptable to such terrain without any active control and the real time stereo vision system for obstacle avoidance, a remote control and a path planning method. And the geometrical information is transmitted to the operator in the remote site via wireless LAN equipment. And finally, experimental results for the passive mechanism, the real time stereo vision system, the path planning are reported, which show the versatility of the proposed mobile robot system to carry out some tasks.

Over the past decade, the topic of work breakdown structure (WBS) has gained an increasing amount of attention from information technology Professionals as an effective tool for managing the complexity of a large-scale information system development project. It is a method for planning and controlling a large-scale information system development. A WBS provides the basis for project organization, cost estimation, task scheduling, and contract management. Based on the authors' practical experience, this paper discusses how to establish a specific WBS and some considerations for developing a well-defined WBS. The model of WBS suggested in this study will provide useful insight and guidelines for establishing the spec-ific WBS for a large-scale information systems development.
