Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine health information seeking behavior of people with cancer in terms of information seeking or avoiding behavior and the differences of the two groups in demographic and disease variables. Methods: Data were collected from October 21 to December 5 in 2013 from out-patient clinics of a university affiliated hospital in Suwon, Korea. One hundred (100) patients with cancer were participated in this study. Health Information National Trends Survey Questionnaires (National Cancer Institute, 2007) was used. Results: Three quarters (n=77) of the participants were in health information seeking group while 23% were in health information avoiding group. Participants who were female, higher education were more likely to seek health information than their counter parts. Among participants, a considerable number of cancer patients intentionally avoided information due to either the lack of accessibility of information source or the lack of credibility of information from the sources. Conclusion: Significant differences in gender and educational level were found in the two groups. Different approaches for both groups were necessary to increase information seeking behavior. And barriers of the information avoiding group should be considered in designing interventions to fill the gap between seekers and avoiders.

본 연구는 근거이론(Grounded Theory)방식을 이용하여 학술연구를 목적으로 한 이용자들의 불확신성과 관련된 정보추구행태를 조사하였다. 이론적 표집에 의하여 17명의 경영학 박사과정 연구자들을 대상으로 질문지, 심층적 인터뷰, 정보탐색과정상의 생각을 말하기 방식(Think-aloud descriptions)을 통한 자료수집이 이루어졌고 수집된 자료는 근거이론의 지속적인 비교분석에 의해 분석되었다. 연구결과는 정보요구의 식별, 정보시스템의 선정, 탐색어의 선택, 정보시스템의 이용 및 탐색결과의 평가 등 5단계에 걸친 이용자 불확신성을 식별하였다. 각 불확신성과 관련, 불확신성의 긍정적인 측면이 조사되었다. 연구결과의 주요 시사점은 정보시스템 및 서비스의 개선과 관련된다.

이 연구는 부산지역에 거주하는 도시 저소득계층의 일상적 생활세계를 '정보'를 매개로 조망하고자 한 조사연구이다. 자료는 기초적인 설문조사와 질적 면담 및 참여관찰을 통하여 수집하고 분석하였으며, 부산지역 A, B, C지역 저소득계층이 지니고 있는 일상적 정보요구와 정보행태를 면밀하게 조사하고 분석함으로써, 우리 사회의 소수자들이 당면해 있는 정보빈곤의 실태와 이러한 현상을 초래하는 제반 요인을 파악해 보고자 하였다. 궁극적으로는 정보빈곤 현상과 정보행태의 소극성 사이의 상관관계를 검증함으로써, 도시저소득층 뿐만 아니라 노년층, 농어촌 지역 주민 장애인 등 소외계층의 정보세계에 노정된 소외의 양상을 밝히는데 이 연구의 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 이 연구에서는 도시 저소득층의 정보요구와 정보추구행태에서 나타나는 주요 특성을 조사하기 위하여 (1) 일상적 관심사의 유형과대처 방식, (2) 일상적 고민을 해결하기 위해 도움을 청하는 대상, (3) 일상의 영위를 위해 필요로 하는 정보를 얻기 위하여 그들이 이용하는 매체의 유형과 특성 등의 범주를 다루었다.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine factors and mechanism inducing end users' faithful appropriation of information security behavior through the information security system. This study is also trying to find out the role of Employees' adaptive activities like learning and feedback seeking behavior for the information security in organizations. Design/methodology/approach An empirical study was carried out with a sample of employees working in the financial service company. Employees(n = 268) completed a written questionnaire. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. Findings Results indicated that employees' learning activities and feedback seeking behavior fully mediated the effect of major information security factors toward end users' faithfulness of appropriation of information security systems. In order to increase the level of employees information security behavior in accordance with security guideline, organizations should facilitate interactions that support the feedback seeking process between employees on information security awareness and behavior. Additionally, organizations may reinforce these behaviors by periodical training and adopting bounty hunter systems.

본 연구는 해외에서 한국관련 정보를 찾는 사람들의 정보요구, 정보추구행동, 정보이용의 장애요인들을 탐색적으로 고찰해 보고자 하였다. 세계 52개국에서 총 382명이 참여한 설문조사와 26명이 참여한 심층면담, 그리고 설문응답자 중 50명이 참여한 후속설문조사 데이터를 수집, 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 정보이용자들은 정보요구와 정보추구행동 측면에서 차별성을 보이는 한류문화향유, 한국어학습, 한국학연구 그룹으로 범주화될 수 있었다. 팬데믹을 겪으면서 디지털 자료 확충과 디지털 아카이빙 확대 요구가 매우 높았고, 언어, 기술, 정책적 장애로 인한 제 문제들이 파악되었다. 정보문제 해결을 위한 방안으로 한국관련 자료를 한 곳에서 접근할 수 있게 해 주는 종합포털시스템 구축과 통합참고정보서비스 운영을 제안하였다.

본 연구는 이용자들이 정보요구를 충족시키기 위해 어떤 미디어를 접촉하고 있으며, 또 어떤 유형의 정보를 선택하고 있는지 미디어 접촉동기와 정보내용의 선택적 추구행동을 분석한 것이다. 이를 위해 교수와 연구원, 교사, 공무원 등 대학생을 포함한 직장 종사자 277명으로부터 회수된 질문지를 속성별로 분석하였다. 분석결과 연구에 대한 새로운 암시나 착상은 교수와 연구직은 학회모임이나 연구활동에서, 기타 직종은 인터넷에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 정보 추구동기와 탐색정보 유형에서는 이용자의 속성에 따라 상당한 차이를 나타내고 있어 추구행동과 속성간에는 매우 밀접한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

This study aims to understand the antecedents and consequences of flow experience in online movie information sharing behavior of young Chinese moviegoers residing in Korea to explore a potential market. We followed the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory and flow theory approaches for developing measures of constructs and investigated previous related studies. This study collected 186 data from Chinses students who attend Korean university. Statistical analysis revealed that information seeking behavior and telepresence are related to online flow experience. In addition, the online flow experience affected consumer satisfaction and information sharing behavior. Flow experience also has been predicted the mediation effect between stimulus information seeking behavior, telepresence and satisfaction and information sharing behavior. Our research findings offer insights for marketers in the movie distribution business who are interested in a better understanding of the behaviors of Chinese moviegoers residing in Korea

본 연구는 과학영재학교 재학생을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하여 정보요구와 정보이용행태를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 선행연구를 바탕으로 연구를 설계하고, 전국 8개의 과학영재학교 중 6개 학교에 재학 중인 10명의 학생들을 대상으로 반구조화된 면담을 진행하여 정보요구와 정보이용행태 전반을 탐색하였다. 과학영재학교 학생들의 정보요구를 교과 활동과 교과 외 활동 영역으로 확인할 수 있었고, 학생들의 주요 관심 주제인 수업 및 학습, 연구 활동에서의 정보이용행태를 ISP 모형 기반으로 살펴보았다. 정보 이용의 전 과정에서 선호정보원을 파악하고, 이를 종합하여 과학영재학교 학생들의 정보이용행태의 특이점과 시사점을 논의하였다. 본 연구는 영재학교 도서관 연구를 위한 기초자료로 사용되며, 과학 주제 분야에 심화적인 관심과 재능이 있는 학생들을 위한 서비스를 제공하기 위한 자료로도 활용할 수 있는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

이 연구는 인터넷 환경에서의 연구자들의 학술정보 추구 행태는 어떤지를 고찰하려는 것이다. 인터넷을 통한 디지털 정보의 유통은 연구자들의 정보추구 방식에 어떤 변화를 주고 있는지를 알아본다. 먼저 디지털 형태의 학술정보를 수집, 처리하고 서비스하는 대학도서관과 전문도서관은 전자저널, 서지데이터베이스, 그 밖의 웹 정보원을 수집, 제공하기 위하여 어떤 방식을 사용하고 있는지를 분석한다. 연구자들은 디지털 정보를 어떤 경로를 통하여 이용하고 있는지도 분석한다.

Privacy-protective behavior can be classified into passive behavior and active behavior. Passive behavior includes refusal, misrepresentation, and removal, while word-of-mouth, complaint, and seeking for help belong to active behavior. Internet users in different countries may take different types of privacy-protective behavior because of cultural and social differences. This study analyzes the differences in Internet users' privacy-protective behavior between Korea and China. Korean Internet users take refusal, complaint, and seeking to protect their privacy information, while misrepresentation is not an option for Korean Internet users. Chinese Internet users take refusal, complaint, seeking, and misrepresentation to protect their privacy information. In Korea, passive behavior (refusal) is chosen more often than active behavior (complaint and seeking for help), while in China active behavior(complaint and seeking for help) is preferred to passive behavior (refusal and misrepresentation). The differences of privacy-protective behavior in the two countries may provide some implications for online companies, if they want to avoid the business risk due to privacy concerns and to take appropriate steps to deal with privacy-protective behavior by Internet users.
