  • Biometric user authentications, day after day, propagate more to human life instead of traditional systems which use passwords and ID cards. However, most of these systems have many problems for given biometric information such noisy data, low-quality data, a limitation of recognition rate, and so on. To deal with these problems, I used Dual QML which is non-linear classification for classifying correctly the real-world data and then proposed preprocessing method for increasing recognition rate and performance by segmenting a specific region on an image. The previous published Dual QML used face, palmprint, ear for the experiment. In this paper, I used iris for experiment and then proved excellence of Dual QML at iris recognition. Finally I demonstrated these results (e.g. increasing recognition rate and performance, suitability for iris recognition) through experiments.

  • Due to the spread of COVID-19, it is rapidly changing from face-to-face to non-face-to-face work environments and is changing to a digital work environment that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, providing convenience to all lives. However, the number of breaches, personal information leakage, and technology leakage targeting SMEs that are vulnerable to security continues to increase. Accordingly, the government has been continuously promoting the information security consulting support project for SMEs every year since 2014. Therefore, this study intends to develop a performance model and measurement methodology for continuous and more systematic support and efficient management of information protection support projects in consideration of the importance of information security for SMEs. It is intended to be used as basic data when setting future operational directions and goals. The main method of this study is to derive performance models and indicators for SME information security support projects based on domestic literature, case studies, and survey results, utilize expert advice to verify the developed performance measurement indicators, and use pilot-test questionnaires. Conduct evaluation through surveys. Based on the verified indicators, we would like to present a performance model and measurement index for the information security support project for SMEs.

  • We proposed a specialized model of performance measurement to measure the training performance of the trainees in cyber practical training. Cyber security professionals are cultivating their expertise, skills, and competencies through cyber practical training in specialized education and training institutions. The our proposed process of trainee evaluation is consisted of an evaluation component discovery, evaluation item selection, evaluation index catalog, ratings and criteria decision, and calculation formula. The trainee evaluation is consisted of a formative evaluation during the training and an overall evaluation after finished training. Formative evaluation includes progress evaluation and participation evaluation, and overall evaluation includes practice evaluation and learning evaluation. The evaluation is weighted according to the importance of evaluation type. Because it is evaluated actual skills and abilities, competencies are assigned a high weight, while knowledge and attitudes are assigned a low weight. If cyber security trainees are evaluated by the proposed evaluation model, cyber security professionals can be cultivated by each skill and knowledge level and can be deployed by importance of security task.

  • The most significant change and trend in the information security market in the year of 2014 is in relation to the issue and incidents of personal information security, which leads the area of information security to a new phase. With the year of 2011 as the turning point, the security technology advanced based on the policies and conditions that combine personal information and information security in the same category. Such technical changes in information security involve various types of information, rapidly changing security policies in response to emerging illegal techniques, and embracing consistent changes in the network configuration accordingly. This study presents the result of standardization and quantification of external access inference by utilizing the measurements to fathom the access authorization performance in advance for information security in specialized networks designed to carry out certain tasks for a group of clients in the easiest and most simple manner. The findings will provide the realistic data available with the access authorization inference modes to control illegal access to the edge of a client network.

  • As new Information technology such as IoT develops rapidly, a lot of changes are occurred in our lives. The Internet of Things is the network of physical objects or things embedded with electronics, software, sensors and connectivity to enable it to achieve greater value and service by exchanging data with the manufacturer, operator and/or other connected devices. This change is also applied to tourism industry. These days many people make a tour reservation using the internet. But it is required to consider the efficiency and security of tour reservation system. In this paper, we suggest a tour reservation system. First, we describe the computer reservation system, hotel reservation system and reservation system. Second, we perform the modeling of general reservation system and suggested reservation system. Third, performance evaluation is carried out with respect to efficiency and security. The results show that the suggested reservation system has a better performance than a general reservation system. At last we described the results and future works.

  • In this paper, we will present the design and implementation of the KASUMI crypto algorithm and confidentiality algorithm (f8) to an hardware chip for 3GPP system. The f8 algorithm is based on the KASUMI which is a block cipher that produces a 64-bit output from a 64-bit input under the control of a 128-bit key. Various architectures (low hardware complexity version and high performance version) of the KASUMI are made with a Xilinx FPGA and the characteristics such as hardware complexity and thor performance are analyzed.

  • Mobile Ad hoc Network is a network of multiple wireless nodes which communicate and exchange information together without any fixed and centralized infrastructure. The core objective for the development of MANET is to provide movability, portability and extensibility. Due to infrastructure less network topology of the network changes frequently this causes many challenges for designing routing algorithms. Many routing protocols for MANET have been suggested for last few years and research is still going on. In this paper we review three main routing protocols namely Proactive, Reactive and Hybrid, performance comparison of Proactive such as DSDV, Reactive as AODV, DSR, TORA and Hybrid as ZRP in different network scenarios including dynamic network size, changing number of nodes, changing movability of nodes, in high movability and denser network and low movability and low traffic. This paper analyzes these scenarios on the performance evaluation metrics e.g. Throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), Normalized Routing Load(NRL) and End To-End delay(ETE).This paper also reviews various network layer security attacks challenge by routing protocols, detection mechanism proposes to detect these attacks and compare performance of these attacks on evaluation metrics such as Routing Overhead, Transmission Delay and packet drop rates.

  • As information and communication technologies (ICTs) has been developed, it is getting more important for internet users to consider many security issues (e.g., privacy protection). In this paper we claims that animation contents make a positive influence on teaching such computer securities, and investigate what features of animation contents will be the most important relationships with performance of the teaching process. Once we have obtained the survey results from students, two main features (i.e., characters and plots) of the animation contents have positively influenced the performance of e-learning systems.
