The spermiogenesis of Crocidura shantungensis were studied by electron microscope. All process of spermiogenesis was divided into 11 phases 15 steps, based on the morphological features of the nucleus and cell organelles in cytoplasm of spermatids. The spermatids in Golgi and cap phases were a spherical shape. On the other hand, at the early acrosomal phase they changed into an oval shape, and the tail was created in this phase. In maturation phase, the shapes of spermatid head were thin and longish. Until step 7 the direction of spermatids head turned toward the lumen of the seminiferous tubule. From step 8 to step 15 their heads turned toward the basal lamina. In step 12, the nucleus and acrosome shown maximal elongation. From Step 13 the nucleus of spermatids became flat, simultaneously with flat expansion of the acrosome expanded, and the visible whole lengths of spermatids were tend to be shorten. Spermatid heading which arrived to step 14 was taken the final shape. The nucleus was doing the wedge shape, and the nuclear chromatins condensed completely and homogenized. In the spermiation phase, the spermatids were gradually disconnected from the cytoplasm of the Sertoli cell. In this phase, the acrosome of the spermatids were fully shorten and flat, and the spermatozoa completed the process of heading and the tailing. Considering all the results, the spermiogenesis may be useful information to analyze the differentiation of spermatogenic cells.
Objectives : Evidence for an effect of rerroductive factors on colorectal carcinogenesis is not yet consistent. Little research has been conducted to investigate whether reproductive factors were associated with colorectal adenomas that are the precursors of colorecta1 cancer, We evaluated the relationships between reproductive factors and the degree of dysplasia of the colorectal adenoma and cancer as colorectal adenoma-carcinoma sequence. Methods : For this study, 241 adenoma cases with histopathologically confirmed incident colorectal adenoma, 76 cancer cases with colorectal cancer and 1677 controls were collected from Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, The Catholic University of Korea, during 1994-1999. Before colonoscopy, information on demographic characteristics, reproductive factors, life style habits and dietary intake were obtained by interviewed questionnaire. Adjusted OR and 95% CI were estimated by using polytomous logistic regression model, Potential confounders that were selected based on the goodness of fit Statistics and interaction between risk factors were considered in this adjustment. The Wald statistic was calculated to test the heterogeneity of the odds ratios for each case. Results .: Postmenopausal women with natural menopause were found to be positively associated with the risk of mild dysplasia adenoma (multivariate-adjusted OR : 2.59, 95% CI=1.1-0.2). Parity was found to be negatively associated with the risk of colorectal lancer (age-adjusted OR : 0.40, 95% CI=0.2-0.9), but did not significantly decrease the risk of colorectal cancer (multivariate-adjusted OR : 0.95, 95% CI=0.3-2.9). Me associations were seen between a9e at menarche, breast feeding, induced abortion, oral contraceptive use, menopausal types, menopausal age or hormone replacement therapy (HRT and the degree of dysplasia of the colorectal adenoma and cancer. However, none of these associations differed' significantly between the degree of dysplasia of the colorectal adenoma and cancer. Conclusions : These findings suggest that postmenopausal women with natural menopause may experience increased risk of mild dysplasia adenorna among colorectal adenoma-carcinoma sequence.
The marine ornamental industry has become a multi-billion dollar industry these days. As developing, however, this industry has been criticized for the indiscriminate captures and the destruction of the surrounding environment. To circumvent these problems, it is suggested to breed the organisms artificially. While clownfishes Amphiprion sp. and Premnas sp. are the most famous ornamental organisms in the trade, few studies are yet available on the culture and commercial production of these fishes. These studies were performed to investigate the spawning periodicity, behavior and the habits during egg incubation, and to provide the information on the mass hatching system. The spawning periodicity and frequency were different in 4 pairs under the constant condition, temperature, salinity and photoperiod. On the contrary, the male's behaviors for egg incubation are almost same in the all. The egg-fanning activity of the male increased as the developing eggs reaching to the hatching day. Based on the above results, we designed a new artificial hatching system, the rotating type (RT), and compared it with the aeration type (AT) and spray type (ST) that were previously described. RT showed higher hatching rate of 87.3% than AT (74.4%) and ST (60.5%). Also, there were no significant differences in the hatching rate regardless of the number (2, 3, 5) of hatching plates. We suggest RT may accommodate various number of hatching plates and constitute a better hatching system for clownfishes.
This experiment was conducted to investigate effects of the two different in vitro production systems, serumcontaining system (IVM, IVF and IVC; TCM199, TALP and CR1aa) and serum-free system (IVM, IVF and IVC; IVMD101, IVMD100 and IVMD101), on the development of in vitro fertilized or DNA-microiniected embryos. We also examined the effect of DNA dosage and its expression pattern in embryos. The DNA used for microinjection was a green fluorescence protein gene. The development rates to $\geq$ 2cell, 8cell and blastocyst stage were significantly higher in vitro fertilized embryos than those in DNA-microinjected embryos. The development rate to the 8-cell stage was significantly higher in serum-free system than in serum-containing system (p<0.05; $3.3\%\;vs.\;15.5\%\;and\;21.4\%$, respectively). The development rates to the blastocyst stage of in vitro fertilzed or DNA-microinjected embryos between two different culture system ($2.7\%\;vs.\;2.3\%\;and\;23.0\%\;vs.\;23.6\%$, respectively) were not different. The development rates of embryos injected 2 ng/uL DNA was higher. than those of embryos injected 4 or 8 ng/uL DNA. The GFP expression rate of 1-cell embryos was significantly higher than that of 2-cell and 4-cell embryos, whereas the rates were not different between 4-cell and blastocyst-stage embryos.

Nowadays the printing market has shift from 2D(two dimension) industry to 3D(three dimension) industry, along with IT. With rapidly changing market, it's true that the effort to develop the printing materials and upgrade the printing qualities is produced actively in the country. Particularly, the differences in printing materials can often determine the quality of printings in the printability. In the case of the printability of offset, 9 items(paper, ink, order of printing, ink supply, blowing-up halftone, grey balance, key color(base color), overlap efficiency, quality at the halftone dot reproduction etc.) are usually considered as the important factors and used to estimate the printability at abroad. However, in domestic, ink-jet paper is not used for the printing/publishing by ink-jet printing for digital, but done mainly for offset printing. Because the paper of gloss coated type, which is the ink-jet paper, has high price, it's too hard to manufacture massively printing/publishing. Also, in the case of the paper of uncoated type, in spite of its reasonable price rather than the former, the type of uncoated one also has demerit that the ink-jet paper has a clear difference between the front and the back. Therefore, it's tough reality that Ink Jet paper is hardly taken advantage of as the printing/publishing. Thus, what is done in the first to print and/or publish on ink-jet paper is that the front and the back must be printed evenly, and appropriate to the printability of ink-jet. Although there're some kinds of ink-jet paper in the country, it has not been produced in true domestic production yet. In addition, thanks to the brightness of fluorescence brightening agent, the foreign product can offer the good-qualified one-time printing. But when it comes to the printing/publishing, there're difficulties that it may cause the Ocular Fatigue because of long-term exposure of the eyes to text. This research tries to find out the optimum ink-jet paper in domestic for the printing/publishing by studying on the printability of ink-jet on digital web-printing. And it also tries to look for the paper's brightness which can be reduce the possibility to cause the consumers' Ocular Fatigue.
Dispersal polymorphism in insects Is a kind of adaptive strategy of the life history together with the diapause, consisting of the “long-winged or alate forms” of migratory phase and the “short-winged or apterous forms” of stationary phase. Dispersal polymorphism is a polymorphism related with the flight capability, and has three categories ; the wing polymorphisms, flight muscle polymorphisms, and flight behavior variations. Phase variation is another type of dispersal polymorphism varying in morphology, physiology and wing forms in response to the density of the population. The dispersal migration is a very adaptive trait that enables a species to keep pace with the changing mosaic of its habitat, but requires some costs. In general, wing reduction has a positive effect on the reproductive potential such as earlier reproduction and larger fecundity The dispersal polymorphism is a kind of optimization in the evolutionary strategies of the life history in insects; a trade-off between the advantages and disadvantages of migration. Wing polymorphism is a phenotypically plastic trait. Wing form changes with the environmental conditions even though the species is the same. Various environmental factors have an effect on the dispersal polymorphisms. Density dependent dispersal polymorphism plays an important role In population dynamics, but it is not a simple function of the density; the individuals of a population may be different in response to the density resulting different outcomes in the population biology, and the detailed information on the genotypic variation of the individuals in the population is the fundamental importance in the prediction of the population performances in a given environment. In conclusion, the studies on the dispersal polymorphisms are a complicated field in relation with both physiology and ecology, and studies on the ecological and quantitative genetics have indeed contributed to understanding of its important nature. But the final factors of evolution; the mechanisms of natural selections, might be revealed through the studies on the population biology.
The present study was conducted to obtain information on the effects of amitraz on reproductive and developmental parameters in rats. The test chemical was administered via the drinking water containing 0, 40, 120, and 360 ppm to male rats from 2 weeks before mating to the end of 14-day mating period and to females from 2 weeks before mating, throughout mating, gestation and up to lactational day 4. During the study period, clinical signs, body weights, food intake, organ weights, reproductive and littering findings, necropsy findings, sperm parameters, and histopathology were examined. At 360 ppm, decreases in the body weight gain, food consumption, and the number of live pups and an increase in the post-implantation loss were observed. In addition, decreases in the seminal vesicle weight and sperm motility were found in males. At 120 ppm, a decrease in the food consumption was found transiently in both males and females, but no reproductive and developmental toxicity was observed in both sexes. There were no signs of either general or reproductive and developmental toxicity in the 40 ppm group. Based on these results, it was concluded that the repeated oral administration of amitraz to rats resulted in a decrease in the food consumption at 120 ppm and decreases in the seminal vesicle weight, sperm motility, and the number of live pups and an increase in the post-implantation loss at 360 ppm in rats. Under these experimental conditions, the no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) of amitraz for general and reproduction/developmental toxicity was believed to be 120 ppm, and the no-observed-effect level (NOEL) of amitraz was believed to be 40 ppm in rats.
The bigfin reef squid, Sepioteuthis lessoniana is commercially important species in Korea. Korean fishing vessels have actively caught it. However, the reproductive Biology of this species has been poorly known. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide information on the reproductive biology of Sepioteuthis lessoniana in Jeju Island, Korea. The bigfin reef squid caught by set net, from June to November 2006. Monthly changes in maturity stages, gonad weight, mantle length at 50% group maturity and sex ratio were investigated. The mantle length of the bigfin reef squid was between 10.6 and 32.1 cm. Maturation and spawning occur all year around, with more intensity from July to September, with peak July. The spawning period was June. The mantle length at 50% group maturity was estimated to be 18.01 cm. Sex ratio was 1:1.4 (male:female). The proportion of female was significantly higher than male ($x^2$-test, p > 0.01).

As the main technology of the 4th industrial revolution, immersive 360-degree video contents are drawing attention. The market size of immersive 360-degree video contents worldwide is projected to increase from $6.7 billion in 2018 to approximately $70 billion in 2020. However, most of the immersive 360-degree video contents are distributed through illegal distribution networks such as Webhard and Torrent, and the damage caused by illegal reproduction is increasing. Existing 2D video industry uses copyright filtering technology to prevent such illegal distribution. The technical difficulties dealing with immersive 360-degree videos arise in that they require ultra-high quality pictures and have the characteristics containing images captured by two or more cameras merged in one image, which results in the creation of distortion regions. There are also technical limitations such as an increase in the amount of feature point data due to the ultra-high definition and the processing speed requirement. These consideration makes it difficult to use the same 2D filtering technology for 360-degree videos. To solve this problem, this paper suggests a feature point extraction and identification technique that select object identification areas excluding regions with severe distortion, recognize objects using deep learning technology in the identification areas, extract feature points using the identified object information. Compared with the previously proposed method of extracting feature points using stitching area for immersive contents, the proposed technique shows excellent performance gain.

This paper models the hue shift phenomenon and proposes a hue correction method to give perceptual matching between projector with and without additional white channel. To quantify the hue shift phenomenon for whole hue angle, 24 color patches with the same lightness are frist created along equally-spaced hue angle, and these are displayed one by one both displays with different luminance levels. Next, each hue value of the patches appeared on the projector with additional white channel is adjusted by observers until the hue values of patches on both displays appear the same visually. After obtaining the hue shift values from the color matching experiment, these values are piecewise fit into six polynomial functions, which approximately determine shifted hue amounts for an arbitrary hue values of each pixel in projector with additional white channel and are utilized to correct them. Actually, an input RGB image is converted to CIELAB LCH color space to get hue values of each pixel and this hue value is shifted as much as the amount calculated by the functions of hue shift model for correction. Finally, corrected image is inversely converted to an output RGB image. For an evaluation, the matching experiment with several test images and the z-score comparisons were performed.
