Interpretation of Influence Winding Short Phase of Induction Motor to Distortion Ratio of Park's Vector Pattern (유도전동기의 권선 단락 상에 따른 팍스 벡터 패턴 왜곡률의 영향 해석)

  • The stator winding faults diagnosis technique based on MCSA is as follows. Firstly, collecting the 3 phase motor currents, that signal is transformed by (d-q transform, $i_d$, $i_q$). Park's vector pattern, the circle that is down by d-q transformed currents($i_d$, $i_q$). The circle is widely used for stator winding faults detection. The current distortion ratio(DR), defined by the ratio of max-axis and min-axis of ellipse of Park's vector's pattern. In this study, distortion ratio of Park's vector pattern is suggested for Auto diagnosis of stator winding short fault and usefulness of distortion ratio is verified through simulation using LabVIEW program.

  • The phase currents must be accurately measured to achieve the instantaneous torque control of AC motors. In general, those are measured using the current sensors. However, the measured current signals can include the offset errors and scaling errors by several components such as current sensors, analog amplifiers, noise filter circuits, and analog-to-digital converters. Therefore, the torque-controlled performance can be deteriorated by the current measurement errors. In this paper we have analyzed the influence caused by vector control of 2-phase induction motor when two errors are included in measured phase currents. Based on analyzed results, the compensation method is proposed without additional hardware. The proposed compensation method was applied vector-controlled inverter for 2-phase induction motor of 360[W] class and verified through computer simulations and experiments.

  • The interpretations of degree expressions require the postulation of new entities to represent degrees. Diverse entities such as degrees, intervals, and vectors are adopted for degree expressions. Positive degree sentences and questions are properly construed with the introduction of these entities, but their negative counterparts need more consideration. Negative degree sentences show dual patterns of entailments depending on contexts, and negative degree questions are unacceptable, making weak islands. To explicate the distinct nature of negative degree sentences and questions, Fox & Hackl (2006) provide an analysis based on degrees while Abrusan & Spector (2010) suggest a proposal in interval readings of degree expressions. I have pointed out the theoretical problems of these analyses and proposed an alternative in the framework of the vector space semantics, following Winter (2005). Bi-directional scales in vector space fit well with the dual patterns of negative degree sentences, and the notion of a reference vector is useful to accommodate the contextual influence in negative degree sentences and to deal with the unacceptability of negative degree questions.

Research on prediction and analysis of supercritical water heat transfer coefficient based on support vector machine

  • In order to better perform thermal hydraulic calculation and analysis of supercritical water reactor, based on the experimental data of supercritical water, the model training and predictive analysis of the heat transfer coefficient of supercritical water were carried out by using the support vector machine (SVM) algorithm. The changes in the prediction accuracy of the supercritical water heat transfer coefficient are analyzed by the changes of the regularization penalty parameter C, the slack variable epsilon and the Gaussian kernel function parameter gamma. The predicted value of the SVM model obtained after parameter optimization and the actual experimental test data are analyzed for data verification. The research results show that: the normalization of the data has a great influence on the prediction results. The slack variable has a relatively small influence on the accuracy change range of the predicted heat transfer coefficient. The change of gamma has the greatest impact on the accuracy of the heat transfer coefficient. Compared with the calculation results of traditional empirical formula methods, the trained algorithm model using SVM has smaller average error and standard deviations. Using the SVM trained algorithm model, the heat transfer coefficient of supercritical water can be effectively predicted and analyzed.

Optimum Alignment of Marine Engine Shaftings by the Finite Element Method (有限要素法에 의한 舶用機關軸系裝置의 最適配置에 關한 硏究)

  • The authors have developed a calculating method of propeller shaft alignment by the finite element method. The propeller shaft is divided into finite elements which can be treated as uniform section bars. For each element, the nodal point equation is derived from the stiffness matrix, the external force vector and the section force vector. Then the overall nodal point equation is derived from the element nodal point equation. The deflection, offset, bending moment and shearing force of each nodal point are calculated from the overall nodal point equation by the digital computer. Reactions and deflections of supporting points of straight shaft are calculated and also the reaction influence number is derived. With the reaction influence number the optimum alignment condition that satisfies all conditions is calculated by the simplex method of linear programming. All results of calculation are compared with those of Det norske Veritas, which has developed a computor program based on the three-moment theorem of the strength of materials. The authors finite element method has shown good results and will be used effectively to design the propeller shaft alignment.

  • This paper presents a study on the use of improved space-vector modulation of VSI employing only four switches, four body diodes. Different switching sequence strategy for vector control for inverter fault mode are described. The influence of different switching patterns at same modulation index and improved PWM method is proposed. The proposed PWM is compared with conventional PWM. Simulation and experimental results are presented.

The Influence of Collision Energy on the Reaction H+HS→H2+S

  • Quasi-classical trajectory calculations have been carried out for the reaction H+HS by using the newest triplet 3A" potential energy surface (PES). The effects of the collision energy and reagent initial rotational excitation are studied. The cross sections and thermal rate constants for the title reaction are calculated. The results indicate that the integral cross sections (ICSs) are sensitive to the collision energy and almost independent to the initial rotational states. The ro-vibrational distributions for the product $H_2$ at different collision energies are presented. The investigations on the vector correlations are also performed. It is found that the collision energies play a postive role on the forward scatter of the product molecules. There is a negative influence on both the alignment and orientation of the product angular momentum for low collision energy at low energy region. Whereas the influence of collision energy is not obvious at high energy region.

  • Support Vector Machines (SVMs) provide a powerful performance of the learning system. Generally, SVMs tend to make overfitting. For the purpose of overcoming this difficulty, the definition of soft margin has been introduced. In this case, it causes another difficulty to decide the weight for slack variables reflecting soft margin classifiers. Especially, the error of soft margin algorithm can be bounded by a target margin and some norms of the slack vector. In this paper, we formulate a new soft margin algorithm considering the bound of corruption by noise in data directly. Additionally, through a numerical example, we compare the proposed method with a conventional soft margin algorithm.

  • This paper presents a new vector control scheme for induction motor. An exact knowledge of the rotor flux position is essential for a high-performance vector control. The position of the rotor flux is measured in the direct scheme and estimated in the indirect schemes. Since the estimation of the flux position requires a priori knowledge of the induction motor parameters, the indirect schemes are machine parameter dependent. The rotor and stator resistance among the parameters change with temperature. Variations in the parameters of induction machine cause deterioration of both the steady state and dynamic operation of the induction motor drive. Several methods have presented to minimize the consequences of parameter sensitivity in indirect scheme. In this paper, new estimation scheme of rotor flux position is presented to eliminate sensitivity due to variation in the resistance. The simulation is executed to verify the proposed vector control performance and to compare its performance with that of indirect vector control.

A Causality Analysis of the Hairtail Price by Distribution Channel Using a Vector Autoregressive Model (VAR 모형을 이용한 유통단계별 갈치가격의 인과성 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze causalities among Hairtail prices by distribution channel using a vector autoregressive model. This study applies unit-root test for stability of data, uses Granger causality test to know interaction among Hairtail Prices by distribution channel, and employes the vector autoregressive model to estimate statistical impacts among t-2 period variables used in model. Analyzing results of this study are as follows. First, ADF, PP, and KPSS tests show that the change rate of Hairtail price by distribution channel differentiated by logarithm is stable. Second, a Granger causality test presents that the producer price of Hairtail leads the wholesale price and then the wholesale price leads the consumer price. Third, the vector autoregressive model suggests that the change rate of Hairtail producer price of t-2 period variables statistically, significantly impacts change rates of own, wholesale, and consumer prices at current period. Fourth, the impulse response analysis indicates that impulse responses of the structural shocks with a respectively distribution channel of the Hairtail prices are relatively more powerful in own distribution channel than in other distribution channels. Fifth, a forecast error variance decomposition of the Hairtail prices points out that the own price has relatively more powerful influence than other prices.
