Plant mitochondria, irradiated with blue-colored $sunlight(350{\sim}500nm)$ under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, were assayed as to the electron transfer activity of respiratory enzyme system, and compared with those irradiated with orange-colored light(white sunlight minus blue-colored light). The respiratory activity of mitochondria was most seriousely inhibited by illumination with blue-colored light under aerobic condition. Deaeration of mitochondrial suspension resulted in substantial decrease of the photoinhibition by blue-colored light. Meanwhile, orange-colored light demonstrated much less effectiveness-almost ineffectiveness-in causing the inhibition of mitochondrial respiration system. The results of enzymatic assay revealed a strong possibility that FMN in NDH and heme group at least in cytochrome c oxidase, but not FAD in SDH, are the photodynamic sensitizers in mitochondrial inner membrane. Also worthwhile to note is the significant difference from the others of SDH in its photoinhibitory response to the light quality of visible light; that the inhibition of SDH by irradiation was not affected by atmospheric condition and that orange-colored light gave rise to considerable extents of inhibition to the enzyme. This observation was tentatively interpreted in terms of photosensitized reaction not involving molecular oxygen possibly catalyzed by Fe-S centers in the enzyme. The superoxide production and the membrane peroxidation of mitochondria under various treatments also indicated that there was blue-light photodynamic reaction in mitochondria involving active oxygens.

The Enterprise Service Bus based on Java Business Integration is an web service standard and one of the methods for implementing distribution channels of Service Oriented Architecture. Consisting of open source group, extensive venders and users, the ESB based JBI has the problems of ineffectiveness as well as advantages of extensibility of service plug-in. That is, in case users need to use Service plug-in, manual connection of packaging process and sequential distribution method is required. This study, therefore, proposes as a way of trouble-shooting the user-oriented component deployment tool which can manage entire process for deploying The ESB middleware platform to Service unit. At the same time, this study elicited the requirements based on issues of JBI-based ESB and has developed the modeling property, packaging, distribution and evaluation thru Schema analysis of JBI-compatible component. Using the deployment tool this study proposed, users will be able to perform and manage the whole deploying process without additional manual work for connecting component. Not only it is expected that interface based on Graphic User Interface provide usability and convenience but they can also minimize the errors rate through component and route validity verification function provided in deployment tool.
Melatonin has been known as an animal hormone. However, melatonin exists in diverse organisms including higher plants. The biosynthesis and physiological roles for melatonin in plants is still largely unknown, although both dicot and monocot plants have melatonin and some medicinal plants even contain large amounts of melatonin. In this study we detected melatonin in diverse Viola plants, in which melatonin had not been examined so far, by reverse phase HPLC analysis, demonstrating the wide existence of melatonin in the genus of Viola. We then fed tryptophan (Trp) and tryptamine (TAM) to the incubation medium for Viola leaf sections to test their effects on melatonin formation. Trp is also the hypothesized starting material of melatonin in plants, and TAM is the following intermediate produced by the decarboxylation of Trp. Trp feeding did not affect the contents of melatonin. In contrast, TAM feeding clearly increased the level of melatonin in Viola leaves. Because TAM is derived from Trp, we concluded that the Trp-TAM pathway exists in Viola plants as well. Ineffectiveness of Trp feeding to the change of melatonin contents supports the hypothesis that the decarboxylation step from Trp to TAM is the rate-limiting step in plant melatonin biosynthesis.
The appropriateness of introducing blockchain technology into food safety management systems was evaluated by conducting a survey of experts on the effectiveness and constraint evaluation indicators, and a portfolio analysis was conducted to set the priorities of blockchain application. The food safety management activities considered in this study were issuing documents on food import/export, food hygiene rating scheme, civil complaint management in the food sector, food- related certification, risk information management, and food traceability systems. The sectors that can be expected to be effective in the introduction of blockchain technology were food- related certification, food hygiene rating scheme, risk information management, and issuing documents on food import/export. In the case of food traceability systems and civil complaint management, the introduction of blockchain technology was not recommended due to ineffectiveness. From the evaluation of the constraints (e.g., technical limits, cost, legal amendment, personal information disclosure, timeliness, and ease of connection) to be overcome when introducing blockchain into food safety management, it was found that there are more than average constraints in all six areas. In particular, the food traceability system was evaluated to have the most constraints. Issuing documents on food import/export is very effective with the introduction of blockchain technology, but due to high cost and legal restrictions, it is necessary to improve the institutional system in order to introduce blockchain. Among the evaluation sectors, food- related certification, food hygiene rating scheme, and risk information management on foods were suitable for preferentially adopting blockchain technology since these areas might experience greatly improved reliability and transparency through the introduction of blockchain, with relatively low constraints.
This research aims to provide guidelines with the appropriate type of smart bus stop to reduce the concentration of fine dust. To this end, we divided smart bus stops into two types: closed and open bus stops. The estimated reduction effect was compared and analysed by measuring the estimated PM10 and the estimated PM2.5 at five locations inside and outside a smart bus stop located in Gangnam gu, Seoul. The effect of reducing the amount of the fine dust concentration in external space was insignificant for both types of bus stops. The different effect of reducing the concentration of the amount between in internal space was relatively significant: the fine dust concentration was 26.0 ㎍/m3 for PM10 and 20.2 ㎍/m3 for PM2.5 at open-type bus stops; whilst was 2.4 ㎍/m3 for PM10 and 1.8 ㎍/m3 for PM2.5 at closed type bus stops. Based on the findings, a closed type bus stop is recommended when considering the cost of reducing fine dust. In addition, due to the ineffectiveness of reducing the amount of fine dust from the outside of the bus stop, additional provision of smart bus stops is required particularly in locations where demand exceeds the capacity of the inside. A clear definition of smart bus stop and it's minimum standard should also be considered.
After critically assessing the effectiveness of basic income as an alternative to the existing social security system, this article argues that basic income is fundamentally incapable of providing an adequate protection for those in social risks or welfare needs. The proponents of basic income often claims that technological innovations will lead to the end of work and thus that basic income will be required for all citizens in the future. Moreover, they emphasize that labor market flexibility is making a large segment of work forces unstable working poor, what is often called the precariat who are not effectively protected by the existing social insurance programs. For them, basic income is the best source of social protection for the precariat of today and the citizens in the future, freeing them from the necessity of having a paid work. This article, however, points out the ineffectiveness of basic income as social protection due to its unustainably high cost that comes from unconditional benefit provisions regardless of levels of income, social risks, and welfare needs. Also it challenges the simplified 'Luddites' image of workless society in the future, arguning that techological unemployment can be overcome by new job creation as seen in Silicon Valley and job sharing following working time reduction. It maintains that it is more cost-effective and reliable to strengthen the welfare state based on the principle of reciprocity that aims at 'universal sufficient protection for those in social risks and welfare needs.'
This thesis was planned to correct the traditional undervaluation that although the Hui Shi philosophy aimed at "the whole of heaven and earth", it is a philosophy not to reach it to the end. For this, the origin of Hui Shi philosophy and the unique method of only Hui Shi reaching "the whole of heaven and earth" should be clearly examined, and it was seen that the key of this depends on Deng Xi. Therefore, this thesis has first examined various points of view that were confused until now in terms of the origin of Hui Shi philosophy, and pointed out its limit. Next, this thesis has paid attention to the new alternative called Deng Xi. The search on Deng Xi was carried out by thoroughly discussing meanings being implicated in "Wuhou" and "Zhuanci", which are two book's names of "Deng Xi Zi", in the context of the history of ancient Chinese philosophy. As a result, it was confirmed that the "Wuhou" of Deng Xi symbolizes that God and heaven, which were an absolute criterion from ancient times to the spring and autumn period, have fallen to existence of ineffectiveness uncapable of intervening human affairs any more. In addition, "Zhuanci" viewed that problems generated among human beings are a reflection of consciousness that will solve through clear speaking or thinking or words instead of Heaven's will. In conclusion, this thesis has tried the origin of Hui Shi philosophy and an explanation of a unique method of only Hui Shi reaching 'the whole of heaven and earth' from the idea of Deng Xi like this.
The purpose of this study is to develop an effective intervention strategy for marriage migrant woman in family therapy. For this purpose, we collected counseling cases of professional counselors who successfully completed counseling and attempted the qualitative analysis of treatment intervention strategies and effects. The results of the study were obtained by dividing the meaning units in the immigrant woman's statements made during the counseling process composed of a total of 6 sessions. The counselors were analyzed to have tried the following intervention strategies. They attempted the following six strategies: Helping emotional differentiation by searching for unresolved emotional problems, dealing with undifferentiation due to family projection process and love triangle, dealing with multi-generational transfer process of the original family relationship patterns and coping mechanism, shedding lihgt on ineffectiveness of inconsistent communication due to emotional oppression applying a communication model of MRI, switching client's awareness through reorganization, suggesting a way of communication that leads to real self. Such counselors' attempts resulted in positive changes and treatment effects were found to include first, cognitive insights and motivation for change, second, improved communication skills and third, anxiety reduction and self-differentiation. Due to their husbands' refusal to participate in counseling, marriage migrant women often get involved in counseling alone, so they tend to worry that the effectiveness of family therapy may be low but it was found that the proper intervention of the counselor could improve the ability of the wife to resolve conflicts, which would be a great help in solving problems such as family violence and this study is meaningful in that it provided the appropriate therapeutic intervention strategies needed.
In line with the international community's movement to reduce greenhouse gas emission, Korea implemented FIT(Feed in Tariff) in 2002 as part of its renewable energy development project. Although the policy had shifted to full-scale RPS(Renewable Portfolio Standards) in 2012, policymakers are still seeking changes due to policy ineffectiveness. While previous studies explain sudden policy changes through external factors, recent research sheds light on internal factors in the process of policy transition. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that are responsible for rapidly changing policies in latecomer nations. In order to find this, we look at the case of transition from the FIT to the RPS in Korea's expansion of renewable energy policy. As a result of the research, it is confirmed that the Top-Down decision making system of Korea and the external regulatory change cause rapid policy transition. By looking at these variables, we propose useful implications for policymakers to minimize the policy failure in future policy design and evolution.
The expansionary monetary policy was practiced after 2001 in Japan to treat the deflation spiral, and reduced only the nominal interest rates and domestic household demand. One of the most serious factors for this failure was the change of private sector's expectancy. This paper has studied the effect of Japanese monetary policy in 21c., with empirical research based on a renewed macroeconomic model and the VAR. The empirical analysis shows that the effect of monetary policy on the national income during 2001.01-2015.03 is weaker than that of 1985.01-1994.04. Money volume has a diminutive effect on the growth of GDP within a short term after 2001. The change in the expectations of the private sectors might have been the cause of ineffectiveness of the expansive monetary policy. Economic agents learned from the past Japanese financial crisis that an expansive monetary policy increased the inflation rate and caused the 'bubbles to burst' afterwards. The VAR analysis says that the effectiveness of monetary policy on the economic depression declined over the past 20 years and the expansion of money volume has no influence on exchange rate and net export. This means that the expansive monetary policy lost its effect on net export and national income steadily. Monetary policy makers have to recognize this fact, and to consider another anti-cycle political instrument, i.e. the fiscal policy with government debt.
