관절각과 지면반발력을 이용한 보행 단계의 분류: 역전파 신경망 적용 (Gait Phases Classification using Joint angle and Ground Reaction Force: Application of Backpropagation Neural Networks)

  • This paper proposes the gait phase classifier using backpropagation neural networks method which uses the angle of lower body's joints and ground reaction force as input signals. The classification of a gait phase is useful to understand the gait characteristics of pathologic gait and to control the gait rehabilitation systems. The classifier categorizes a gait cycle as 7 phases which are commonly used to classify the sub-phases of the gait in the literature. We verify the efficiency of the proposed method through experiments.

  • Multitemporal approaches using sequential data acquired over multiple years are essential for satisfactory discrimination between many land cover classes whose signatures exhibit seasonal trends. At any particular time, the response of several classes may be indistinguishable. Using the estimates of periodogram which are obtained from sequential images, the periodicity of the process have been incorporates into multitemporal classification. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) was computed for seven-day composites of the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) imagery over the Korean peninsula for 1996 - 2000 using a dynamic technique.

  • In this article, it will be shown that a nonparametric and data-adaptive approach to the variance change point (VCP) detection problem is possible by formulating it as a pattern classification problem. Technical aspects of the VCP detector are discussed, which include its training strategy and selection of proper classification tool.

  • 자연어 질의를 입력하고 문서로부터 질의에 대한 정답을 추출하여 제공하는 질의응답 시스템에서는 사용자의 질의 의도를 파악하여 질의 유형을 분류하는 과정이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 질의 유형을 분류하기 위해 복잡한 분류 규칙이나 대용량의 사전 정보를 이용하지 않고 질의의 의도를 나타내는 어휘들을 추출하고 인접 명사들의 의미 정보를 이용하여 질의 및 정답 유형을 결정할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 또 동의어 정보와 접미사 정보를 이용하고, 의문사가 생략된 경우 어휘 의미 정보를 이용하여 질의 유형 분류기의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 보인다.

  • The purpose of this study is to predict promising Location Based Services under an ubiquitous environment based on their technical characteristics, which is strongly required in rapidly changing circumstances with ubiquitous computing and Broadband Convergence Network (BcN). To begin with, this study proposes a classification scheme of ubiquitous services and defines five technology factors required for ubiquitous services. Next, this study collects a number of ubiquitous services from previous researches and classified them according to the classification scheme of ubiquitous services. And then, technical importance of the collected ubiquitous services are evaluated in terms of technology factors by using service-technology metrics. Finally, a set of important Location Based Services under ubiquitous environments and the correlations between technology factors are identified by using the evaluation results.

  • 본 논문에서는 구간 데이터 식별을 위한 구간 신경망의 학습 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 각 데이터의 속성치가 구간으로 주어져 있는 경우의 패턴 식별 문제에 적용된다. 먼저, 구간 입력 벡터를 다루기 위한 구간 신경망의 구조를 제안하고, 평가 함수를 이용하여 학습 알고리즘을 도출한다. 평가 함수는 구간 신경 망으로부터의 구간 출력과 대응하는 목표 출력을 이용하여 정의된다. 마지막으로 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의해 제안 기법의 구간 데이터 식별 능력을 나타내고, 통상의 역전파 신경망을 이용 기법과 비교한다.

  • It is important to identify and evaluate poor working postures properly to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders. The purpose of this study is to develope a new upper body micropostural classification scheme for analyzing postural stress in industry. Most of the existing postural classification schemes were based either on the literature, or on simple biomechanical principles, or on a subjective ranking system. The scheme suggested in this study was based on perceived joint discomfort measured through experiment, in which nineteen subjects participated and the magnitude estimation method was employed to obtain subjects' joint discomfort. Also, the criteria for evaluating postural stress of working postures were presented for practitioners of health and safety to be able to redesign working methods and workplaces, which was based on maximum holding time by Miedema and other people. It is expected that the scheme developed in this study could be used as a valuable tool when evaluating working postures.

  • In the hazardous areas where explosive liquids, vapors and gases exist, electrical apparatus/equipment should have explosion-proof construction. The consuming of liquefied natural gas(LNG) has markedly increased in the industrial field, especially in aspect of some thermoprocessing equipment, boiler, dryer, furnace, annealer, kiln, regenerative thermal oxidizer(RTO) and so on. Because it has many merits, clean fuel, safety, no transportation/storage facility and so on. It is strongly recommend that the classification of hazards has to be decided to prevent and protect explosion which may occur in thermoprocessing equipment. In this paper, the operated thermoprocessing equipments in industrial area investigated and explosion risk assessment about LNG leakage from its facilities was performed through numerical calculation and computer simulation. Finally, we suggest the systemic/technical approach for safety assessments of thermoprocessing equipments consumed LNG fuel which are specially subjected to classification of hazardous area.

  • The classification of quality costs by item is essencial to sum up the entire quality cost but the reality of classifying the quality cost by the firm is facing with difficulty in terms of grouping the concerned items. Meanwhile, the classification of items and calculating method of quality costs should be prepared in adcance with a certain standards and or regulations to figure out the accurate quality costs successfuly. This case study provides the contents of quality costs calulated by item and the method of calculation in detail which is applicable to automobile component industry md, also introduce how to set up the computing system of quality costs.
