솔리드 타이어 제조를 위한 스프링 벤트 시스템의 적용 (Application of Spring Vent System for the Manufacturing of Solid Tire)

  • Manufacturing processes of industrial tire are composed of mixing, extrusion, curing, trimming and inspecting. Among them curing is the most important process in the production of industrial tire. In this study the newly developed spring vent system was designed in order to solve rubber intrusion problem inside spring vent system in the curing process. After the experiment it is concluded that rubber intrusion was caused by angled stem head part. New spring vent system was manufactured and new design of spring vent system is proper to use for industrial tire curing process.

타이어 정련 공정 스케줄링을 위한 유전자 알고리즘 (Genetic Algorithms for Tire Mixing Process Scheduling)

  • This paper proposed the scheduling method for tire mixing processes using the genetic algorithm. The characteristics of tire mixing process have the manufacturing routing, operation machine and operation time by compound types. Therefore, the production scheduling has to consider characteristics of the tire mixing process. For the reflection of the characteristics, we reviewed tire mixing processes. Also, this paper introduces the genetic algorithm using the crossover and elitist preserving selection strategy. Fitness is measured by the makespan. The proposed genetic algorithm has been implemented and tested with two examples. Experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm is superior to conventional heuristic algorithm.

자동차 타이어 모델의 곡면 모델링 및 5축 NC 가공 (Surface Modeling and 5-axis NC machining of Automobile Tire Model)

  • Recently, the tire mold of a passenger car is made almost via aluminum casting, and it is necessary to prepare a master model of the tire for the casting. Because of the geometrical feature of tire, as well known, the master model must be machined by a 5-axis NC machine. The paper proposes a procedure to model and machine the master model. The approach includes (a) transformation of 2D drawing of tire into 3D geometry, (b) modeling surfaces of tire, and (c) inverse kinematics of a 5-axis NC machine. An implementation of the proposed procedure is also presented.

  • 오늘날, 차량의 성능 향상에 따라 타이어에 대한 요구가 다양화 되고 요구성능이 고도화됨에 따라 타이어의 설계기술에 보다 다양한 기반기술들이 적극적으로 사용되기 시작하였으며, 이에 대한 많은 연구 중 타이어 형상의 최적화를 통한 타이어 성능 향상을 위한 연구들이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 타이어 형상은 운전성능, 회전저항성, 내구성, 승차감, 소음, 내마모성 등과 같은 차량의 주요성능에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 대단히 중요한 설계인자이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실험계획법의 하나인 직교배열표와 회귀식을 이용하여 타이어 형상설계 시에 필요한 유한요소 해석시간을 단축시키고 유전자 알고리듬을 이용하여 타이어의 주요 성능을 만족하는 다목적 형상최적설계를 수행하였다.

  • 자동차에 있어서 안전은 가장 중요한 설계 인자이다. 자동차 타이어 압력은 자동차 안전에 중요한 요소로 알려져 있다. 능동적 안전 측면에서, 타이어공기압검지장치(TPMS)는 아주 중요한 요소라 할 수 있다. RF 통신 기능을 갖고 타이어 내부에서 타이어 압력을 모니터링하는 장치는 광범위한 운전영역에서 정회한 압력을 검지하는 효과적 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 타이어 압력 및 온도보상 특성 관계를 조사하였다. 본 연구를 통하여, 차량 조건과 주행 변수를 고려한 TPMS 제어 로직의 가이드 라인을 설정할 수 있었다.

폐타이어 분말의 치환율과 입자크기에 따른 경량 모르타르의 역학적 특성 (Mechanical Properties of Lightweight Mortar in Accordance with the Particle Size and Replacement Ratio of the Wasted Tire Chip)

  • 본 연구는 최근 산업 발전으로 나날이 증가하는 폐타이어가 야기시키는 환경오염을 해결하고 폐타이어를 재활용함으로써 무분별한 매립을 예방하기 위한 기초 실험이다. 건축 재료의 경량골재를 폐타이어분말로 대체함으로써 폐타이어분말의 경량성을 검토하고 폐타이어분말의 재활용 계획을 제시하고 적용하고자 한다. 선행실험으로 폐타이어분말을 20, 40, 60, 80, 100(%) 등으로 치환하여 실행하였고, 측정 항목은 강도와 밀도이다. 본 실험은 선행실험을 기초로 하여 폐타이어 치환율을 15, 20, 25(%) 등으로 하였다. 폐타이어 골재의 입도는 0.2, 0.8, 1~2, 3~5, 5~7(mm) 등으로 고정하였다. 실험 결과 폐타이어 입도 1~2mm, 치환율 15%가 가장 적정한 입자크기 및 치환율 값을 나타내었다.

  • Waste tires are a significant problem with the increasing in number of automobiles. Therefore, many researches have been studied on this field. Recycling is the one of the popular method aspect to environmental and economical in the treatment methods of the waste tire, which loads that the reuse of scrap tire rubber has been a challenge in the past. However, it is not easy method to melt down and mold into new products because the in rubber is a cross-linked polymer. Most difficulty in recycling is the recycled product is not economic. Therefore, the goal of this study is to develop the high valuable products for reused waste tires. In this paper, we try to make an economic recycled technology using scrapped waste tires. This technology may applied for manufacturing the end products such as a rubber block and a ballast mat for high-speed train.

회전하는 타이어의 동특성을 고려한 진동에너지 하베스터 성능 예측 (Performance Prediction of Vibration Energy Harvester considering the Dynamic Characteristics of Rotating Tires)

  • In general, tires require various sensors and power supply devices, such as batteries, to obtain information such as pressure, temperature, acceleration, and the friction coefficient between the tire and the road in real time. However, these sensors have a size limitation because they are mounted on a tire, and their batteries have limited usability due to short replacement cycles, leading to additional replacement costs. Therefore, vibration energy harvesting technology, which converts the dynamic strain energy generated from the tire into electrical energy and then stores the energy in a power supply, is advantageous. In this study, the output voltage and power generated from piezoelectric elements are predicted through finite element analysis under static state and transient state conditions, taking into account the dynamic characteristics of tires. First, the tire and piezoelectric elements are created as a finite element model and then the natural frequency and mode shapes are identified through modal analysis. Next, in the static state, with the piezoelectric element attached to the inside of the tire, the voltage distribution at the contact surface between the tire and the road is examined. Lastly, in the transient state, with the tire rotating at the speeds of 30 km/h and 50 km/h, the output voltage and power characteristics of the piezoelectric elements attached to four locations inside the tire are evaluated.

  • A theoretical model has been studied to describe the sound radiation analysis for structure vibration noise of vehicle tires under the action of random moving line forces. When a tire is analyzed, it had been modeled as curved beams with distributed springs and dash pots that represent the radial, tangential stiffness and damping of tire, respectively. The reaction due to fluid loading on the vibratory response of the curved beam is taken into account. The curved beam is assumed to occupy the plane y=0 and to be axially infinite. The expression for sound power is integrated numerically and the results examined as a function of Mach number, wave-number ratio and stiffness factor. The experimental investigation for structure vibration noise of vehicle tire under the action of random moving line forces has been made. Based on the Spatial Transformation of Sound Field techniques, the sound power and sound radiation are measured. Results strongly suggest that operation condition in the tire material properties and design factors of the tire govern the sound power and sound radiation characteristics.
