The complexity of newly developed protection algorithm and higher performance requested by the user makes the software embedded in the protective relay much harder to develop and maintain. The versatility of 32bit microprocessor and the availability of cheaper memory semiconductors introduced the fertile developing background for the protective relay developers. The use of component object model(COM) in the software developing process enables the developer to write much complex code in the easy and safe way and to maintain the code easily, too. And the aid of the COM library, the distributed computing environment will be expected to appear by the use of the COM programming model in the protective relay firmware program.

Today, technologies and automation have been accelerated up in the industrial workplace. Nevertheless, many systems still require humans to handle materials manually. The Low Back Pain (LBP) is one of modern human being's most common and complex ailments. Many risk factors with the onset of LBP have been identified, however, lifting out of Manual Material Handling(MMH) was the most important factor to the LBP. The Virtual Reality(VR) is used in a variety of ways and often in a confusion and misleading manner. In order to solve the prevention of the LBP, a lifting box was translated in the Virtual Environment(VE). As simulating under the VE, optimal lifting works could be constructed. The purpose of this study is to reduce the chronical low back pain for the manual material handlers.

Insects and their extract have been traditionally used as medicinal resources in Asia. Recently, Gryllus bimaculatus and the larva of Tenebrio molitor, Protaetia brevitarsis, and Allomyrina dichotoma were enlisted as general food ingredients by Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. As the interest in these insects is growing, the detailed investigation is needed for the standardization of suitable and safe rearing techniques. This survey was conducted via personal interviews about edible insect rearing farms in Korea. The basic feed is fermented oak sawdust for P. brevitarsis and A. dichotoma and wheat bran for T. molitor. The various feed additives are blended with each farm's own recipes. The overall growth condition, including sawdust fermentation method, feeding period, and rearing density, varies among the investigated farms. It seems that weight of last instar larva was correlated with the rearing density and duration of the larval period. The heavy metal contents were analyzed after 48 hour starvation and they were very small amount or not detected in investigated insects. We believe that the present data will contribute to develop and standardize the safe rearing techniques of edible insects in Korea.

The research is to verify by experiments whether the steel truss structure is able to withstand the load of cement bricks of upper part of a door for the safe use of lightweight steel truss structure instead of concrete lintel which is to be installed at upper part of door frame in building cement bricks for apartment construction. The steel truss is designed in order not to disturb bricks-building and the shape of structure was verified by bending test. According to experiments result, camber was applied to steel structure that enabled construction work to be improved and was proved effective for the prevention of accidents by cement bricks-building load test.

Korea has been rapidly industrialized during the past 35 years. During this period, Korea has emphasized only production and workers health has been ignored. Workers are most frequently exposed to organic vapors, such as thinners. This study was performed to evaluate worker exposures to organic solvents by size and type of industry. Results are summarized below. Workers were exposed to mixtures of toluene, xylenes, trichloroethylene, n-hexane, acetone, methanol, n-butanol, n-butyl acetate, and MIBK. Considering additive effects of the compounds, exposure indices (EIs) were calculated. It was found that worker exposures to organic solvents were highest in small industries and lowest in large industries. During a day shift, the highest exposure was indicated 3 - 5 p.m. in the afternoon. Workers in small industries had potential exposures exceeding permissible exposure limits for organic solvents. Local exhuast systems were inappropriate and respiratory protective devices were not supplied to the workers in small industries. Neither program for safe use and storage of toxic materials nor program for respirators was found in any of the plants investigated. Based on the results of the study, workers of small scale industries should be considered first in industrial health.

The studies on semiconductor industrial accident in korea have been focused on the frequencies of each type of safety management employee, characteristics, cause and unsafe conditions, acts and so on. Those attributes of semiconductor industrial accidents were usually analyzed independently, so that it was hard to provides a wel-developed process and systematic guidelines for efficient safety management. Therefore, there were a few studies based on comprehensive survey in terms of the shape type of safe management. The questionnaire survey carried out for the 284 workers who were responsible for safety management in center with cooperation companies in semiconductor industry factor analysis showed that there were three factors of safety management. First, investment and operation and management for accident prevention, Second, unsafe act and condition, safety management Third, general human error and behavior. The industries of respondents were correlative with three groups. Three groups showed statistically significant differences on the number of cases. Actually, the group with the larger investment and the more unsafe cause, human error of accidents prevention had a smaller causes of accident cases.

This study compared data regarding industrial accidents and awareness level for beauty product safety for four main parts of beauty industry such as hair-care, nail-care, skin-care, and make-up. Major risk factors in beauty industry are dust, musculoskeletal disorders, and organic solvent of beauty product in order of percentage. The specific types of industrial accidents in beauty industry are mainly associated with musculoskeletal system such as cuts, sprain, and varicose vein. They are mainly compensated by personal budget. The awareness levels of chemical and heavy metal containment for beauty product by beauty industry employee were 77.2% and 59.1% respectively. Most employee confirmed only important items of labelling requirement of beauty product. Also, most employee did not understand MSDS(Materila Safety Data) for chemicals used in beauty industry. Only 38.1% of beauty industry employee has had safety education while most employee (73.6%) realized that they needed safety education. Also, safety education supervised by KOSHA(Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency) was the most preferred. This study would be good basis for safe and healthy working environment of beauty industry employee.

인터넷의 발달로 인하여 다양한 온라인 카드 지불 방식이 생겨나게 되었다. 그 중, 기존의 국민카드와, BC카드의 카드 결제 방식인 ISP(Internet Secure Payment) 시스템에서 ISP를 생성하는 과정이 현재의 인증 방법으로는 잠재적인 취약점이 있음을 발견하고, 이에 본인 인증을 강화하는 프로토콜을 제안한다.

ATS(Automatic Transfer Switch), the secondary power supply system prepared for' temporary power fail on main in KEPCO in industrial field or running a important system. is developed. In this development, we prove that the proposed system is safe with results in a few environment testing focused on a solution against a poor environment by making virtual environment for a solution on problems of system reliability to switch more safely.

As the Internet spreads rapidly, the industrial structure is changing to a new paradigm. The previous EDI system was asked to be changed and WEB EDI, E-Mail EDI, FTP EDI etc. based on the internet have appeared. Recently, the XML/EDI which is based on XML documents has appeared. EDI system has to assure a safe exchange between senders and receivers. But, the internet has security problems because it uses a open TCP/IP protocol. In this paper, we will propose an XML/EDI system with XML Signature.
