The hard mask photo-resist strip inspection system for the semiconductor wafer manufacturing process inspects the position of the circuit pattern formed on the wafer by measuring the distance from the edge of the wafer to the strip processing area. After that, it is an inspection system that enables you to check the process status in real time. Process defects can be significantly reduced by applying a tester that has not been applied to the existing wafer strip process, edge etching process, and wafer ashing process. In addition, it is a technology for localizing semiconductor process inspection equipment that can analyze the outer diameter of the wafer and the state of pattern formation, which can secure process stability and improve wafer edge yield.

In manual inspection of Lead Screw of computers many workers are needed to inspect samples, and its main disadvantage is that such types of inspection system not only gives low production, but also gives low perfection. Besides, in manual inspection system, the inspection cost of samples is higher than that of the automatic inspection system. Therefore, in this study to compensate these shortcomings, an automatic inspection system is developed. For the inspection of the surfaces and different dimensional parameters of computer Lead screw, a $360^{\circ}$ rotating machine vision system is developed. From the detailed analysis of the inspection results using the present developed inspection system, it is observed that the developed Lead Screw automatic inspection system is superior to those of manually inspection system.

Objectives: The Ministry of Employment and Labor's enforcement programs, such as workplace monitoring inspection, are one of the major public efforts to protect worker's health. Therefore, a more effective inspection method is required for workplace monitoring, which is helpful for controlling health hazards in the workplace. Methods: For this study, we investigated the related safety and health laws, regulations, and inspection guidelines from the USA, Japan, and Korea. We also analyzed the provisions of industrial safety and health acts, which are related to enhancing the reliability of workplace monitoring. We applied the process of opinion convergence through an experts meeting for our research. Results: We proposed an efficient inspection scheme for workplace monitoring that includes how to select companies(mainly randomized inspections by using a workplace measurement database and workers' compensation insurance database), how to proceed with the inspection process(mainly unannounced visits), and who should carry out this project. Conclusions: We conclude that our proposal for the inspection of workplace monitoring could be a very effective tool for reducing the numbers of companies that do not undertake workplace monitoring and could produce reliable monitoring results.
Public institutions have a responsibility to ensure the safety of their employees and the public. One way to do this is to implement a systematic safety inspection system based on risk assessments and continuous improvements. This study developed a systematic safety inspection system for public institutions that are ordered construction projects. The proposed system in this study consists of a three-step process: (1) developing safety grade evaluation tables, (2) preparing and conducting safety inspections, and (3) evaluating and improving safety management grades. The first step is to develop safety grade evaluation tables by analysis and diagnosis of the construction site's work type, disaster statistics, and related laws. The second step is to conduct safety inspections using the developed evaluation tables. The third step is to determine the safety management grade based on the results of the safety inspection, and to improve risk factors found during the safety evaluation. The proposed system was implemented in highway construction projects carried out by public institutions. The results showed that the proposed system has two major effects: (1) reducing accident-related deaths and injuries, (2) improving safety management levels by continuous evaluation and improvement. The proposed system can be utilized in construction projects ordered by public institutions to improve the level of occupational safety and health.
In recent days, large-sized flat-panel display (FPD) has been increasingly applied to computer monitors and TVs. Mura defects, appearing as low contrast or non-uniform brightness region, sometimes occur in manufacturing of the Thin-Film Transistor Liquid-Crystal Displays (TFT-LCD). Implementation of automatic Mura inspection methods is necessary for TFT-LCD production. Various existing Mura detection methods based on regression diagnostics, surface fitting and data transformation have been presented with good performance. This paper proposes an efficient Mura detection method that is based on a regression diagnostics using studentized residuals for automatic Mura inspection of FPD. The input image is estimated by a linear model and then the studentized residuals are calculated for filtering Mura regions. After image dilation, the proposed threshold is determined for detecting the non-uniform brightness region in TFT-LCD by means of monitoring the every pixel in the image. The experimental results obtained from several test images are used to illustrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method for Mura detection.

In this paper, a quality inspection system was developed to identify the defective assembly of connectors used in automobile wiring. For waterproof connectors, an internal seal must be inserted for waterproofing. However, there are cases where it is omitted or double-inserted during production. An automatic inspection jig was designed using photosensors and touch switches to classify good and bad connector components. In the case of the existing visual inspection, 6,400 connectors were inspected when 5 people inspected for 8 hours. However, when using the inspection jig developed under the same conditions, 20,000 pieces were inspected. In other words, the productivity is greatly improved compared to the conventional visual inspection.

Most current machine vision systems for industrial inspection were developed with one specific task in mind. Hence, these systems are inflexible in the sense that they cannot easily be adapted to other applications. In this paper, a general vision system framework has been developed that can be easily adapted to a variety of industrial web inspection problems. The objective of this system is to automatically locate and identify \\\"defects\\\" on the surface of the material being inspected. This framework is designed to be robust, to be flexible, and to be as computationally simple as possible. To assure robustness this framework employs a combined strategy of top-down and bottom-up control, hierarchical defect models, and uncertain reasoning methods. To make this framework flexible, a modular Blackboard framework is employed. To minimize computational complexity the system incorporates a simple multi-thresholding segmentation scheme, a fuzzy logic focus of attention mechanism for scene analysis operations, and a partitioning if knowledge that allows concurrent parallel processing during recognition.cognition.
The automated part quality inspection poses many challenges to the engineers, especially when the part features to be inspected become complicated. A large quantity of part inspection at a faster rate should be relied upon computerized, automated inspection methods, which requires advanced quality control approaches. In this context, this work uses innovative methods in remote part tracking and quality control with the aid of the modern equipment and application of support vector machine (SVM) learning approach to predict the outcome of the quality control process. The classifier equations are built on the data obtained from the experiments and analyzed with different kernel functions. From the analysis, detailed outcome is presented for six different cases. The results indicate the robustness of support vector classification for the experimental data with two output classes.
The inspection policy and inspection error are very critical factors which influence the outgoing quality. In other words, such factors influence the acceptance rate of the incoming matarials. Hence, the outgoing lot size is varied. This paper presents a method to compute the break-even point(pb1, pb2) under these two factors, which canbe used to determine the economic acceptance inspection type.
In this paper, we readdress the optimization problem for minimizing the inspection cost in a back-light unit inspection system, which forms a network including a K-stage inspection system, a source inspection shop, and a re-inspection shop. In order to formulate our objective function when the system is in a steady state, assuming that the number of nonconforming items in a lot follows a binomial distribution when a lot is formed for inspection, we make a steady-state network flow analysis between shops, and derive the steady-state amount of flows between nodes and the steady-state fraction defectives by solving a nonlinear balance equation. Finally we provide some fundamental properties and an enumeration method for determining an optimal value of K which minimizes our objective function. In addition, we compare our results numerically with previous ones.
