Analyzing Technological Trends of Smart Factory using Topic Modeling

  • Recently, smart factories have gained significant importance since the development of the fourth industrial revolution and the rise of global industrial competition. Therefore, the industries' survival to meet the global market trends requires accurate technological planning. Although, different works are available to investigate forecasting technologies and their influence on the smart factory. However, little significant work is available yet on the analysis of technological trends concerning the smart factory, which is the core focus herein. This work was performed to analyze the technological trends of the smart factory, followed by a detailed investigation of recent research hotspots/frontiers in the field. A well-known topic modeling technique, namely Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), was employed for this study described above. The technological trends were further strengthened with the in-depth analysis of a smart factory-based case study. The findings produced the technological trends which possess significant potential in determining the technological strategies. Moreover, the results of this work may be helpful for researchers and enterprises in forecasting and planning future technological evolution.

  • 본 연구에서는 유럽의 제조업 혁신의 발원지인 독일의 제조업 혁신 추진 전략을 살펴봄으로써 한국이 추진하고 있는 제조업 3.0을 성공적으로 추진하기 위한 전략적 함의를 제시하고자 한다. 현재 한국 경제의 잠재성장력은 점점 약화되어 왔으며, 신흥국과의 기술격차가 점차 감소되고 있어, 국가 경제의 경쟁력 제고를 위한 국가적인 노력이 필요한 상황이다. 신흥국의 성장은 제조업의 수출수요를 유발하여 새로운 기회 요인이 되고 있지만, 시장점유율을 놓고 후발개도국과 치열한 경쟁을 벌여야 하는 한국에게는 위협요인이기도 하다. 유사하게 유럽의 장기적인 경기침체와 신흥국의 부상에도 불구하고 여전히 높은 수준의 산업경쟁력을 유지하고 있는 독일은 바로 이러한 점에서 국내 제조업 발전 정책의 추진 및 개선에 시사점을 제공해 줄 것으로 사료된다.

Characterization of electron beam (EB) welds for SUS310S

  • In this work, SUS310S used for valve plate assembly was electron beam (EB) welded to determine the influence of the parametric conditions on the characteristics of the weld and to minimize porosity and micro-fissures among others. The evolution in the weld geometry and microstructure was examined as a function of the process conditions such as beam current and focusing current under a constant welding speed and accelerating voltage. The integrity of the EB welds in SUS310S was examined for defects (e.g. cracking, porosity, etc.), adequate penetration depth, and tolerable weld width deviation for the various welding conditions. Optical microscopy (OM), x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and 3D micro-computed tomography (Micro-CT) for the cross section analysis of the electron beam welded SUS310S were utilized. The tensile strength and hardness were analyzed for the mechanical properties of the EB weld. At the 6 kV accelerating voltage, it was determined that a satisfactory penetration depth and desirable weld width deviation requires a beam current of 30 mA and a focusing current of 0.687 A at the welding speed of 25 mm/sec.

Gurson모델을 사용한 전자기성형의 성형성 개선에 대한 연구 (Study on Formability Enhancement of Electromagnetic Forming using Gurson Plasticity Material Model)

  • The effect of the tool-sheet interaction on formability enhancement in electromagnetic forming is investigated using FEM. A free bulging and a conical forming die with 0.7mm AL1050 sheet are used to evaluate damage evolution based on Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman plasticity material model. The impact between the tool and sheet results in complex stress states including compressive hydrostatic stresses, which leads to a suppression of void growth and restrain ascending void volume fraction of the sheet. Therefore, the damage suppression due to the tool-sheet interaction can be the main factor contributing to the increased formability in the electromagnetic forming process.

텍스트마이닝을 활용한 품질 4.0 연구동향 분석 (Understanding of the Overview of Quality 4.0 Using Text Mining)

  • Purpose: The acceleration of technological innovation, specifically Industry 4.0, has triggered the emergence of a quality management paradigm known as Quality 4.0. This study aims to provide a systematic overview of dispersed studies on Quality 4.0 across various disciplines and to stimulate further academic discussions and industrial transformations. Methods: Text mining and machine learning approaches are applied to learn and identify key research topics, and the suggested key references are manually reviewed to develop a state-of-the-art overview of Quality 4.0. Results: 1) A total of 27 key research topics were identified based on the analysis of 1234 research papers related to Quality 4.0. 2) A relationship among the 27 key research topics was identified. 3) A multilevel framework consisting of technological enablers, business methods and strategies, goals, application industries of Quality 4.0 was developed. 4) The trends of key research topics was analyzed. Conclusion: The identification of 27 key research topics and the development of the Quality 4.0 framework contribute to a better understanding of Quality 4.0. This research lays the groundwork for future academic and industrial advancements in the field and encourages further discussions and transformations within the industry.

한국 첨단무기 신속개발 발전방안 (The Plans for Rapid Development of Advanced Weapons in Korea)

  • 우크라이나와 러시아의 전쟁이 계속되고 있다. 우크라이나는 미국 등의 도움으로 인공지능 적용 첨단무기를 갖추어 러시아에 우세한 전투를 벌이고 있다. 이러한 추세에 한국군은 4차 산업혁명 국방기술에 대한 투자를 확대하고 스마트 군대를 구현하기 위하여 국방혁신 4.0을 발표하였다. 이를 효과적으로 달성하기 위해서는 무기 연구개발 제도를 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 이 논문은 기존 무기 연구개발 제도를 살펴보고 첨단무기를 적기에 신속개발 할 수 있는 발전 방안을 도출하였다. 그리고 최근 도입된 4차 산업혁명 기술 적용을 위한 신속연구개발에 대한 발전방안도 추가하여 제시하였으며 이를 통해 한국군이 신속하게 첨단무기를 도입하는데 도움이 되도록 하였다.

  • The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has significantly improved labor productivity, upholding the role of people as the creator of core values and the focus of sustainable development. Vietnam is facing an important turning point when GDP growth has gradually slowed down in the context that natural resources are beginning to dry up. This requires Vietnamese businesses to innovate to promote economic growth and improve competitiveness. This paper focuses on clarifying the activity and policy Vietnam's innovation. Thereby to propose the solution for supporting and promoting of innovative startup enterprise in accordance with the conditions and circumstances of Vietnam in the context of Industry 4.0

블록체인 NFT 문화예술콘텐츠의 현황과 과제 (Prospects & Issues of NFT Art Contents in Blockchain Technology)

  • In various fields such as art, design, music, film, sports, games, and fashion, NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are creating new economic value through trading platforms dedicated to NFT art and content. In this article, I analyze the current state of blockchain technology and NFT art content in the context of an expanding market for blockchain-based NFT art content in the metaverse. I also propose several tasks based on the economic and industrial logic of technological innovation. The first task proposed is to integrate cultural arts on blockchain, metaverse, and NFT platforms through digital innovation, instead of separating or distinguishing between creative production and consumption. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a clear separation between creators and consumers. However, with the rise of Web 3.0 platforms, any user can now create and own their own content. Therefore, it is important to promote a collaborative and integrated approach to cultural arts production and consumption in the blockchain and metaverse ecosystem. The second task proposed is to align the legal framework with blockchain-based technological innovation. The enactment and revision of relevant laws should focus on promoting the development of the NFT trading platform ecosystem, rather than merely regulating it for user protection. As blockchain-based technology continues to evolve, it is important that legal systems adapt to support and promote innovation in the space. This shift in focus can help create a more conducive environment for the growth of blockchain-based NFT platforms. The third task proposed is to integrate education on digital arts, including metaverse and NFT art contents, into the current curriculum. This education should focus on convergence and consilience, rather than merely mixing together humanities, technology, and arts. By integrating digital arts education into the curriculum, students can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the potential of blockchain-based technologies and NFT art. This article examines the digital technological innovation such as blockchain, metaverse, and NFT from an economic and industrial point of view. As a limitation of this research, the critical mind such as philosophical thinking or social criticism on technological innovation is left as a future task.

중소제조업 스마트공장 기술 동향과 이슈 (Technology and Issue on Embodiment of Smart Factory in Small-Medium Manufacturing Business)

전략적 인적자원관리가 혁신행동과 조직성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Strategic Human Resource Management on Innovation Behavior and Organizational Performance)

  • 본 연구는 중소기업에서 조직구성원들이 지각하고 있는 전략적 인적자원관리가 조직성과와 혁신행동에 미치는 영향관계와 전략적 인적자원관리와 조직성과의 관계에서 혁신행동의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 통계프로그램 SPSS 21.0프로그램을 활용하여 검증하였다. 첫째, 가설1인 전략적 인적자원관리(채용과 보상, 직무설계, 교육훈련과 경력관리, 의사결정 참여)는 조직성과에 정(+)의 영향관계에 대한 검증결과 긍정적 영향관계를 나타내어 가설 1은 채택이 되었다. 둘째, 전략적 인적자원관리(채용과 보상, 직무설계, 교육훈련과 경력관리, 의사결정 참여)는 혁신행동에 정(+)의 영향관계에 대한 가설 2를 검증한 결과 통계적으로 유의하게 나타내어 가설 2는 채택이 되었다. 셋째, 가설 3인 조직구성원들이 지각하고 있는 혁신행동은 조직성과에 유의한 정(+)의 영향관계를 나타낸 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 가설 3은 채택이 되었다. 넷째, 가설 4인 전략적 인적자원관리와 조직성과 간의 영향관계에서 혁신행동의 매개효과를 검증한 결과 혁신행동은 부분매개를 하는 것으로 분석되었다. 즉, 조직구성원의 전략적 인적자원관리는 조직성과에 직접적인 영향을 미치지만, 자신의 직무수행에 있어 혁신행동을 거치면서 조직성과에 더욱 더 높은 긍정적인 영향관계를 나타낼 수 있다는 의미이다.
