A data base design framework for predictive a preventive-maintenance system is presented in this paper in order to effectively control machines and reduce accident rates in the workplace. The data base is designed to meet general management requirements to evaluate different maintenance strategies. There are seven data files: the equipment list maintenace pesonnel, maintenance history, maintenance specification, spare part, maintenance equipment, and maintenance schedules. Each data base file has several record based upon data acquisition.

Electronic commerce has provided another access for consumers to purchase products, but some researches have pointed out that there are difficulties for companies to do business on web. For lack of trust, many people not prefer purchasing through virtual channels. Based on the literature review, this study aims at empirically testing the impact of website design on individual trust in internet firms. From statistic analysis, we will conclude that security, interaction, and navigation functionality will affect on-line trust.

The objective of this study is to design a one-stage dynamic prediction model with Kalman state space model. For a model verification, it is compared with EWMA(Exponentially Weighed Moving Average) model. The model designed in this research can be extended to process prevention control and quality monitoring.

Recent market competition forces the price to be determined in the design stage so that the design would meet the target price of the product. However, most commercial PDM(Product Data Management) systems currently in use lack such a cost estimation function. In this paper, we propose detailed structure and functions of a new approach to estimate the cost of new products using integrated BOM in PDM. Such system will reduce the total life cycle cost of the products to be designed.

When designing a warehouse, one has to recognize that the number of racks in a warehouse takes on only integer value in reality. The existing solution procedures based on noninteger values may result in poor outcomes for the design of a warehouse. This paper deals with the determination of the optimal integer for the number of racks that minimize the total material handling cost associated with the warehouse. An optimum search procedure is proposed here and a number of numerical examples are used to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed procedure.

It is very important to assure the software quality. The static and dynamic testing are to be performed on the program to find some error in it, and it's purposes are to assure the software quality with cost-effectiveness. In logistics decision making, Key elements in the design of any physical distribution are the location of depots and the distribution of goods from the depots to the customers. Considering open and close the depots, This paper presents a flexible analysis on the combined location-routing problem(LRP) the case for variation capacity of vehicle and customers demands each. The scenario examples are given the use of heuristic(Saving-Drop) in LRP types. The results is useful in apply to the logistics environment changes.

It is expected that the typical lifestyle of the future will be transformed into an opulent and comfortable existence as the quality of life improves due to the increase in household income and reduction in working hours. In the meantime, as the standard of living becomes increasingly more comfortable and plentiful, the toll on physical health becomes magnified as a result of obesity and insufficient exercise caused by super nutrition and change in labor conditions. This has instigated a deep awareness in fitness on the part of many people, forcing them to recognize the significance of daily exercise and physical activity. The Elliptical Cross Trainer(ECT), which has drawn wide attention recently, is a non-impact athletic apparatus that not only promotes exercise of the upper body parts in such sports as skiing but also the exercise of lower parts of the body on a treadmill. It is a type of cross training athletic gear that has been developed for aerobic exercise throughout the entire body. It has already formed a market as big as that of the treadmill in Europe, America, etc. Recently, its demand is growing sharply in the Korean markets as well as those in Northeast Asian countries. Despite such demand increase and expansion, since most of the expensive ECTs are exclusively supplied by suppliers in only a few advanced countries, localization of the ECT is urgently required in order to enhance competitiveness of Korean manufacturers and to expand the market. The ECT development project has been in full swing for approximately two year since 2004 in order to secure independent design, as well as engineering and manufacturing processes in efforts to develop a commercially viable ECT.

This study is to consider a variety design methods and trends applied in the recent apartment housing design competitions for Sejong city. Because the Sejong city project housing design competitions were the most recent and foremost architectural firms and construction companies in Korea were participated in the Sejong city project. Therefore, the new design concepts should be used in the entry works of the design competitions, these analysis and valuations can be utilized for future and advanced housing estate design.
