This paper describes an image disparity estimation method using a segmented-region based stereo matching. Segmented-region based disparity estimation yields a disparity map as the unit of segmented region. However, there is a problem that it estimates disparity imprecisely. The reason is that because it not only have matching errors but also apply an identical way to disparity estimation, which is not considered each type of matched regions. To solve this problem, we proposes a disparity estimation method which is considered the type of matched regions. That is, the proposed method classifies whole matched regions into similar-matched region, dissimilar-matched region, false-matched region and miss-matched region by analyzing the type of matched regions. We then performs proper disparity estimation for each type of matched regions. This method minimizes the error in estimating disparity which is caused by inaccurate matching and also improves the accuracy of disparity of the well-matched regions. For the purpose of performance evaluations, we perform tests on a variety of scenes for synthetic, indoor and outdoor images. As a result of tests, we can obtain a dense disparity map which has the improved accuracy. The remarkable result is that the accuracy of disparity is also improved considerably for complex outdoor images which are barely treatable in the previous methods.

This paper presents the study of a fire risk to the backside of two miniatures of ISO 9705 2/5 using a lightweight partition for indoor space division and reproduction of the ISO 9705 test. An SGP partition, stud partition, glass wool panel, urethane foam panel, sandwich panel, and glass partition were selected as the test specimens, which are frequently used in construction. According to the ISO 9705 test standard, stabilization was achieved using a measuring device that recorded data before the ignition of a burner and continued recording for 120 s thereafter. After ignition was achieved, the power was increased to 300 kW for 600 s and then reduced to 100 kW for 600 s. The specimens were subsequently observed for 180 s, and the fire risk to the backside and the fire pattern of the wall unit were analyzed. Owing to the amount of heat generated by the ignition source, the maximum temperature of the backside was observed to be 67.7 ℃ for the SGP partition, 55.1 ℃ for the stud partition, 52.4 ℃ for the glass wool panel, 727.4 ℃ for the sandwich panel, 561 ℃ for the urethane foam panel, and 630.5 ℃ for the glass partition. In the cases of the sandwich and urethane foam panels, the explosion of flammable gas occurred by virtue of fusion of the interior materials. The reinforced glass was fractured owing to the temperature difference between the heat- and nonheat-responsive parts. Ultimately, the fire risk to the nearby section room was deemed to be high.

The information of traversability and path planning is essential for UGV(Unmanned Ground Vehicle) navigation. Such information can be obtained by analyzing 3D terrain. In this paper, we present the method of 3D terrain modeling with color information from a camera, precise distance information from a 2D Laser Range Finder(LRF) and wheel encoder information from mobile robot with less data. And also we present the method of 3B terrain modeling with the information from GPS/IMU and 2D LRF with less data. To fuse the color information from camera and distance information from 2D LRF, we obtain extrinsic parameters between a camera and LRF using planar pattern. We set up such a fused system on a mobile robot and make an experiment on indoor environment. And we make an experiment on outdoor environment to reconstruction 3D terrain with 2D LRF and GPS/IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit). The obtained 3D terrain model is based on points and requires large amount of data. To reduce the amount of data, we use cubic grid-based model instead of point-based model.
This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of complex probiotics and enzyme on air quality in finishing pig building and the performance of finishing pigs. A total 117 crossbred $[(Landrace{\times}Yorkshire){\times}Duroc]$ pigs were randomly arranged into nine groups and assigned to three treatments. Pigs were fed a basal diet supplemented with 0, 0.1% level of probiotics and 0.1% level of complex probiotics and enzyme until the market weight for 42 days of the experimental period. Ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations in the finishing pig building were significantly (p<0.05) decreased by dietary supplementation of complex probiotics and enzyme compared with those of control, however, indoor carbon dioxide concentration was not affected by dietary supplementation of probiotics or complex probiotics and enzyme. Average daily feed intake and feed conversion ratio were significantly improved (p<0.05) with dietary supplementation of 0.1% complex probiotics and enzyme; however, average daily gain was not affected by dietary supplementation of probiotics or complex probiotics and enzyme. In conclusion, the results obtained from this experiment suggest that the dietary supplementation of complex probiotics and enzyme for finishing pigs may improve air quality in the finishing pig building and the performance.
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of the fog-cooling system on the growth and yield characteristics of two large-fruited paprika cultivars during summer cultivation season. The temperature inside the greenhouse equipped with fog-cooling system was $2-3^{\circ}C$ lower than that in the control. The results of study show the possibilities of maintaining indoor temperatures below $35^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity at the level of 80% using fogcooling system during hot seasons of the year. Plant height, fruit weight and number of fruits per plant were higher for both cultivars in the fog-cooling treatment compared to those in control. Mean fruit weight and yield per unit area were higher in the fog-cooling treatment than those in the control. However there were no significant differences in sugar content, flesh thickness and locule number of fruits due to fog-cooling system. Number of fruits with epidermal cracking was decreased in the fog-cooling system for both paprika cultivars. Mineral contents of plants such as nitrogen (N), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), were not affected due to fog-cooling treatment.

Because the 'Internet of Things' and sensor network technology have become a new generation industry competitiveness with a development of Information Communication Technology, each local autonomous entity is trying to adopt a Smart City quickly. This requires an integrated platform inside of a smart city operation center. Established Smart City platform provides various services using CCTV information and ITS transportation information based on a two-dimensional map. The provision of advanced Smart City services will necessitate three-dimensional map information, building and facilities unit information, linked information with public data portal for service to the public. In this paper, the authors reviewed development trends of Smart City integrated platform and proposed mashup methods between BIM/GIS interoperability platform and external open data. BIM/GIS platform can provide spatial information services for indoor and outdoor seamlessly because it was developed based on GIS spatial data with BIM data. The linked external open data are V-World data, Seoul Open Data, and Architectural Data Open. Finally, the authors proposed the direction of development for BIM/GIS integrated platform to provide advanced Smart City services.

Highly concentrated sunlight obtained from a solar concentrator mounted on a solar tracker can be divided into the infrared and visible region before it is actually applied. That is, solar rays are directed toward a unit optically separating sunlight into the infrared and visible region by a hot mirror as they impinge on the surface of a secondary reflector. The Infrared rays can be utilized for thermoacoustic applications while visible rays can be utilized for indoor lighting. This work introduces the separation of two different kinds of light; sunlight and artificial light. As for the artificial light, its wavelength extended from 400m to 720m for the visible region and 620m to 940m for the infrared region. Comparatively, a series of tests performed on sunlight revealed its separation in the visible region from 460m to 680m whereas from 620m to 940m for the artificial light.

The mobile mapping system first introduced at Ohio State University in 1991 is being developed in various forms as sensor technology develops. The mobile mapping system can acquire geospatial information around amoving object quickly using the information gathered using the position and attitude information of the moving object and the data from various sensors. The mobile mapping system can rapidly acquire large amounts of Geospatial information and MMS provides maximum productivity in the same measurement methods as existing GNSS and total stations. Currently, a variety of systems are being launched, mainly by foreign companies, and they are applied to the construction of geospatial information. On the other hand, the application of domestic technology development or production is insufficient. This paper provides basic data for the introduction of a mobile mapping system to geospatial information related business by conducting the status survey and feature analysis of a commercialized system focusing on the ground-based mobile mapping system. The research identified the current status and characteristics of high-priced, low-priced, indoor, and handheld mobile mapping systems based on vehicles and suggest that the recent system development trends are moving toward lowering the unit prices. The mobile mapping system is currently being developed as a platform for the application of geospatial information construction and the launch of low-cost models. The development of data processing technologies, such as automatic matching and the launch of low-cost models, are forming a basis for the application of mobile mapping systems in the field of geospatial information construction.

The ventilation effect of a ventilation system, which is classified as the forced ventilation and natural ventilation, is predominantly dependent on the combination of air supply and discharge. Perhaps the simplest ventilation is merely supplying the air as it is. However, to improve the indoor working environment during the summer, an air supply that is cooled to some extent has been widely adopted. Recently, a cooling method utilizing the vaporization of water was introduced. In this study, the performance of an evaporation-type air supply unit that was produced by Japan K-company and was installed in a shoe-manufacturing plant in Busan was investigated. The purpose of the experiment was to measure how much the supplied air could be cooled. From this experimental study, we confirmed that the evaporation-type air supply system is efficient, capable of improving the working environment during the summer while minimizing the energy cost.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine clean room(C/R) structure, air conditioning and contamination control systems and to provide basic information for identifying a correlation between the semiconductor work environment and workers' disease. Methods: This study was conducted at 200 mm and 300 mm semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities. The C/R structure and air conditioning method were investigated using basic engineering data from documentation for C/R construction. Furthermore, contamination parameters such as airborne particles, temperature, humidity, acids, ammonia, organic compounds, and vibration in the C/R were based on the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors(ITRS). The properties of contamination control systems and the current status of monitoring of various contaminants in the C/R were investigated. Results: 200 mm and 300 mm wafer fabrication facilities were divided into fab(C/R) and sub fab(Plenum), and fab, clean sub fab and facility sub fab, respectively. Fresh air(FA) is supplied in the plenum or clean sub fab by the outdoor air handling unit system which purifies outdoor air. FA supply or contaminated indoor air ventilation rates in the 200 mm and 300 mm wafer fabrication facilities are approximately 10-25%. Furthermore, semiconductor clean rooms strictly controlled airborne particles(${\leq}1,000{\sharp}/ft^3$), temperature($23{\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$), humidity($45{\pm}5%$), air velocity(0.4 m/s), air change(60-80 cycles/hr), vibration(${\leq}1cm/s^2$), and differential pressure(atmospheric pressure$+1.0-2.5mmH_2O$) through air handling and contamination control systems. In addition, acids, alkali and ozone are managed at less than internal criteria by chemical filters. Conclusions: Semiconductor clean rooms can be a pleasant environment for workers as well as semiconductor devices. However, based on the precautionary principle, it may be necessary to continuously improve semiconductor processes and the work environment.
