  • On account of Indoor Air Quality(IAQ) deterioration by reason of high isulation and air tightness for energy saving, absence of energy efficiency ventilation system development that can be domestic existing window system, the cost increase and the energy addition loss by mechanical ventilation for IAQ improvement the ventilation obligation making design standard was prepared by a social and technical background and the necessity. In this study, open module type natural ventilation window system for energy saving included a fixed and continuous quantity ventilation was developed. The purpose that indoor thermal comfort environment evaluate of indoor resident.

KTX 객실의 IAQ 관리 기초 인자 분석 (Analysis of basic IAQ management factors in KTX passenger cabin)

  • The passenger cabin of train is generally insulated from exterior environment to ensure the safety of passengers and to enhance the heating and cooling efficiency. Therefore, the IAQ management of passenger cabin is very important in aspect of amenity and health of passengers. In this study, we measured some IAQ factors influencing on the indoor air quality of passenger cabin. The measurement was carried out to investigate the PM-10, PM-2.5, PM-1.0, temperature, relative humidity, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide leves of KTX. The results showed that the air quality of the cabin was largely satisfactory, but carbon dioxide level was relatively higher. The control of carbon dioxide levels need the extensive research in the future.

  • 새건물증후군이란 새로 지은 건물에서 생활하는 사람들에게 눈이 따갑거나 목이나 코가 아프거나, 두통, 구토, 피부발진 등 증상이 나타나는 것을 일컫는 말이다. 새집증후군 원인물질의 주요 성분으로는 건축 자재나 벽지, 페인트, 가구 접착제 등에서 발생되는 포름알데이드(HCHO)와 톨루엔 등 휘발성 유기화합물(VOCs: Volatile Oragnic Compounds), 부유 박테리아, 곰팡이, 바이러스 등이다. 새집증후군을 저감하기 위한 방법으로는 환기에 의한 방법, 오염물질이 없는 친환경 재료의 사용 및 재료의 처리를 통해 오염물질을 저감하고자 제거하는 방법이 있다. 본 연구는 이들 방법 중 건축 재료 위에 표면코팅처리를 함으로써 실내 공기질을 향상시키기 위한 것으로, 건물 내 표면 코팅 전후의 공기질을 분석함으로써 실내 거주환경을 안전하게 조성하는 데 그 목적이 있다.

지하철역사의 공기질 감시 및 제어를 위한 유무선 네트워크의 성능평가에 관한 연구 (Performance Evaluation of Wireless and Wired Networks for Monitoring and Control of Indoor Air Quality(IAQ) in Subway Stations)

  • 복잡한 지하철 역사에서 공기질은 승객의 안전과 건강을 좌우하는 중요한 요소이다. $CO_2$, VOCs먼지, 미생물 등의 농도는 역사의 여러 지점에서뿐만 아니라 원격지점에서도 감시 및 제어가 가능해야 하기 때문에 유무선 네트워크를 사용한 웹기반 감시 및 제어가 필요하다. 가상디바이스 네트워크(VDN) 개념에 근거한 원격 무선센서 네트워크와 디바이스 네트워크(LonWorks)를 IP 네트워크에 연동시키면 매우 강력한 분산 감시 및 제어 성능을 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 지하철역사내 공기질 감시 및 제어를 위한 유무선 네트워크의 성능평가를 실시하였다. 특히 유무선 네트워크의 데이터 전송과 지연특성을 평가하고 승객의 안전과 건강을 위한 핵심요소를 확인하였다.

철도차량에서의 공기질 현황 및 PM10 오염원 분석 (Air Quality and PM10 Source Analysis on the Railway Vehicles)

  • Nowadays, concerns have much more growing regarding indoor air quality (IAQ) on the public transportation including railway vehicles. Last year Korea Ministry of Environment (ME) set new guideline for public transportation. In this study several factors were analyzed which may affect comfortableness of railway passenger cabin, and we monitored IAQ parameters (PM10, CO, $CO_2$, VOCs, temperature and humidity) to investigate the present pollution in passenger cabin. In general, the railway air quality was satisfactory. The PM10 and $CO_2$ level on all passenger cabin were below the new guideline level 1 for PM10 $(200{\mu}g/m^3)\;and\;CO_2(2,000ppm)$. Clustering method was carried out to classify the air polluting pattern of the cabin. As a result, the pollutants could be classified to 4 clusters and the origin of pollution is soil, diesel exhaust gas, abrasion of rail and plume.

실내공기질 측정인자들의 화재감지 경향성 측정을 통한 화재감지 활용 가능성에 관한 기초 연구 (Basic Research on Potential Application of Fire Detection by Measuring Fire Detection Tendency of Indoor Air Quality Measurement Factors)

  • 본 논문은 실내공기질 측정인자들의 화재감지 경향성 측정을 통한 화재감지 활용 가능성에 관한 기초 연구이다. 공기질 측정인자들의 화재감지 경향성을 측정하기 위해 연기감지기 감도시험기를 이용한 작동실험과 UL 268에서 규정하고 있는 종이화재실험을 진행하였다. 연기감지기 감도시험기를 이용한 작동실험 및 UL 268 종이화재실험에 측정된 각각의 측정값을 교차 대입한 결과 공기질 측정기(IAQ) S1의 경우 PM 10(평균값제외), HCHO(평균값 및 최대값 제외), IAQ S2의 경우 PM 1.0, PM 2.5, PM 10, 연소가스분석기(CGA)의 경우 CO(평균값 및 최대값 제외)가 모든 실험 조건에서 연기발생에 따른 측정값의 변화를 통해 경향성을 관찰할 수 있었다. 특히, 본 실험 조건에서 측정되는 인자들 중 적응성이 가장 우수한 PM 10 및 CO는 화재감지 인자로 활용 가능할 것으로 생각된다.

다중센서를 활용한 LSTM 기반 재실자 행동 분류 모델 개발 (Using multi-sensor for Development of Multiple Occupants' Activities Classification Model Based on LSTM)

  • 본 논문에서는 주거지 내의 재실자의 행동을 분류하기 위한 LSTM 모델을 개발하는 연구에 대해 다룬다. 다중센서의 구성은 실내 공기질을 측정하는 IAQ(Indoor air quality) 센서, 재실감지 및 위치를 추적하는 UWB 레이더, 재실자의 생체정보를 측정하기 위한 Piezo 센서로 구성되며 실제 주거환경과 유사한 실험환경을 구축하여 외출, 재실, 요리, 청소, 운동, 수면 등의 재실자 행동 데이터를 수집한다. 수집한 데이터를 이상치와 결측치를 전처리 후 LSTM 모델을 사용하여 재실자 행동 분류 모델의 정확도, 민감도, 특이도, 그리고 T1스코어를 계산 후 평가한다.

대학 도서관 건물 리모델링에 따른 실내공기질 영향 평가 (Impact Assessment of Remodeling Works on Indoor Air Quality in a University Library Building)

  • Recently, there have been a large number of remodeling (or renovation) works in old buildings in urban areas. Compared to new buildings, environmental risk might be more significant in such buildings where remodeling works are going on, since some parts of the building may still be in service for people. This study was carried out to investigate the impacts of remodeling works on the indoor air quality (IAQ) of a large building (a 22 stories university library). Indoor air monitoring was conducted during and after the remodeling works every two weeks for a one year period, and target compounds included BTEX, styrene, TVOC, carbonyl compounds such as formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. $CO,\;CO_2,\;PM_{10}$, and $PM_{2.5}$. Overall, the IAQ appeared to be recovered within two months after the remodeling works. However, in some places, concentrations of formaldehyde, toluene, xylene. and ethylbenzene showed higher levels even after works than those during the works. The results indicate that painting, glues and office furnitures are major sources of aromatic VOCs and formaldehyde. Therefore, in order to decrease the concentrations of toxic VOCs, the use of environmental-friendly building materials is strongly recommended during the remodeling works. In addition, IAQ control and management scheme (for example, baking the inside of the building) should be taken into consideration before reopening the buildings.

현장실험을 통한 공동주택의 실내공기환경 평가 (A Evaluation Study on Indoor Air Quality of the Apartment House through Field Measurement)

  • In recent days, IAQ(Indoor Air Quality) is regarded as one of the most important environmental factors as well as thermal and acoustic comfort. Various architectural materials are applied and air-tightness of the building is more strengthening to save energy consumption. This is why the air quality of the newly built houses became worse. In this study, contaminants(CO, CO$_2$, Radon, TVOCs, HCHO) density was measured in a newly built house and evaluation was carried out by ASHRAE and EPA Standards. As a result, CO, CO$_2$, TSP and Radon density of the newly built house was in a range of ASHRAE and EPA Standards, but it turned out TVOCs and HCHO density exceeds almost 3${\sim}$5 times in comparison with that of ASHRAE and EPA Standards.

도시지역 실내환경 유형별 공기질 특성 평가 -가정, 사무실 및 식당을 중심으로- (Characterization of Air Quality in Various Types of Indoor Environments in Urban Areas - Focusing on Homes, Offices, and Restaurants -)

  • In this study, comprehensive air quality monitoring was undertaken with a variety of objectives to collect data on the levels of various indoor and ambient air quality parameters in the urban areas of Seoul and Taegu. The sampling sites were comprised of six offices, six residences and six restaurants in each city. The ambient air adjacent to the indoor sites was also simultaneously sampled for the same constituents. The sampling was conducted in two phases: summer of 1994 and winter of 1994/95. A range of air quality parameters were measured simultaneously, which include RSP, CO, COB, NOB, a range of VOC, airborne microbials, temperature, and relative humidity. The indoor and ambient levels of the pollutants measured in this study varied widely between the three types of environments studied. Comparison of median values for the three groups revealed that restaurants had higher indoor levels of most pollutants than homes or offices. There was also a clear pattern of the indoor levels of target pollutants being higher than those outdoors, particularly in restaurants. Concentrations of CO and most of the VOC were found to be significantly higher in the commercial districts, indicating the influence of vehicle exhaust emissions. A very wide range of VOC levels was documented in this study. Although median indoorloutdoor ratios indicated a generally increasing level of VOC indoors when compared to those outdoors, no statistically significant differences were found between indoor and outdoor VOC levels in homes and offices, implying the importance of ambient air quality in determining the quality of indoor air for homes and offices in urban areas. In addition, there was a general pattern of increasing concentrations from summer to winter, and similarly from outdoor to indoor air for nearly all target compounds. The seasonal differences in median levels were very clearly seen for fuel combustion related pollutants such as RSP, CO and VOC, this being attributed to the effects of increased fuel consumption during the cold season and to meteorological factors.
