The objective of this research was to evaluate the toxicity of the industial xenobiotic Aroclor 1248 (A) and natural origin substances~elemental sulfur (S80) and oleic acid (OA) and their binary mixtures to V. fischeri bioluminescence during the prolonged exposure time (up to 60 min). The bioluminescence quenching test was used to determine the toxic effects. Full factorial experiment design and multiple regression analysis and the comparison of binary mixture effect with the sum of effects of individual chemicals were used for the evaluation of combined effects of toxicants. The analysis of general trend of mixture toxicity to bioluminescence showed that mixture toxic effects were reversible up to 60 min. Data analysis revealed different joint effects, which were depended on mixture composition. S80 enhanced toxic effect of A and acted additively with synergistic interaction. Hydrophobic OA in mixture with A acted antagonistically and in mixture with sulfur caused an additive effect with antagonistic component of interaction. It was concluded that low concentrations of natural toxic substances present in environmental samples as mixtures of chemicals can define the toxicodynamic character of industrial xenobiotics.

We present results of two-color VR photometry of the intermediate polar RXS J1803. The data were aquired using the Korean 1-m telescope located at Mt. Lemmon, USA. Different "high" and "low" luminosity states, similar to other intermediate polars, were discovered. No statistically significant variability of the color index with varying luminosity was detected. The orbital variability was found to be not statistically significant. Spin maxima timings were determined, as well as the photometric ephemeris for the time interval of our observations. The spin period variations, caused by interaction of the accretion structure with the rotating magnetic white dwarf, were also detected. These variations are of complicated character, and their study requires further observations. We determine the color transformation coefficients for our photometric systems, and improve on the secondary photometric standards.

The purpose of this study were 1) to subdivide sportswear consumers according to consuming desire of sports 2) to identify the differences in lifestyle and sportswear benefits sought. The data were collected via a questionnaire from 312 consumer who have been purchased sportswear and living in Seoul. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Sportswear consumers were divided into four segments: sports mania, attractive body pursuers, passive followers, mind purifiers. 2) Six realms of lifestyle such as clothing, food, home & interior, leisure life, consumption and sense of values were factor-analysed separately, and lifestyle factors which showed significant differences among segments are I) fashion ostentation in the realm of clothing ii) western style, health-oriented in the realm of food, iii) sports life enjoyment, sociable life, hoped-for foreign travel in the realm of leisure life, iv) brand oriented, price comparison, sale goods preference in the realm of consumption, and v) realist, interpersonal skills, strong personality, individualism in the realm of values 3) Five factors of sportswear benefits sought which showed significant differences among segments are comfortability/practicality, ideal body/good-looking, individual character, fashion! ostentation, and brand oriented.

The Mannerism which was born on Italy in 16th century was the critical trend of art influencing the political economical and psychological trends and was the first mo-dality which respected the individual sense of artist. The cultural situation of that time es-pecially the alienation of men is similar to the pluralism of value the coexistency of conflict the acceptance of heterogeneity and uncer-tainty I modern century. This paper analysed the pattern of change in the trend of Mannerism in modern costume by comparing current trend from the past focus-ing th fact that the over-all situation in this century is similar to that of Mannerism in 16th century. In this paper the author suggests the Defor-mation Ambiguity and Irreglarity as the character of manneristic trend which has re-solved the sense of alienation of men by paradoxic expression. The results of comparing the characteristic of mannerism to the modern costume is followd; 1. The Deformation in modern costume is grossly subdivided to the transfrmation of morphology the transformation of scale and the breakdown of equilibrium 2. The ambiguity in the modern costume can be subdivided to the eclecticistic expression and the ambiguity of spatial concept(between inner and outer garments). 3. The illogiclities in modern costume are the technique of illusion structural illogicality and the collage technique.

This study investigates the population model of the spread of HIV/AIDS which the infection is generated by an infectious individual in a population of susceptible. A mathematical model is presented for the transmission dynamics of HIV infection within the communities of homosexual males. The pattern on the epidemic character of HIV, the causative agent of AIDS, was analysed by the mathematical model of AIDS system which is derived according to the ecological relationship between five epidemilogic states of individuals. The computer simulation was performed using real data and the following conclusions are drawn on the basis of the simulations. 1. The model structure and the algorithm described n the thesis is good. 2. In proportion to increase Ro, the population of AIDS patient increases and the time of its widespread reaches earlier. 3. The AIDS patients will be maximum between 7 and 21 years after an attack of AIDS and widespread between 10 and 20 years. 4. Considering the properties of the incubation periods, the maximum number of infected person is increased, and the attack rate is decreased.

PURPOSE: People with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy usually experience obstacles when interacting with computer through conventional keyboard because of their motor disabilities. The purpose of this study is empirically compare of text entry(alphabet and word) speed and accuracy using the three different keyboard type on four students(male 2 and female 2) with cerebral palsy. METHODS: This research design used a replicated single-case experimental approach to compare the individual performance. An alternating treatments design was used to examine the effectiveness of standard QWERTY keyboard and alternative keyboard(mini and big keyboard) on computer access for students with cerebral palsy. To avoid changes in posture that influence a keyboard character entry training and evaluation was carried out using his sitting in a wheelchair. Compass software program used in this study as an assessment tool to measure speed and accuracy when performance of text entry(alphabet and word). This was repeated until the stable status of reaction time. RESULTS: As a result, the alternative keyboard seems to be the most effective device for students with cerebral palsy to perform text entry. But various factors such as peculiarity of motor disabilities, experience and preferences of the user are heavily related. CONCLUSION: Thus, we must perform the objective and systematic assessment for computer access and if sustained training is accomplished, it could to improve speed and accuracy of text entry(alphabet and word).

Amethysts were grown hydrothemally. The origin of amethyst color is iron center, which is developed by correlation between Fe3+(substitutional) and Fe3+ (interstitial)1). Crackless amethysts without smoky centers were grown only from major (1011) and minor (1101) seeds on K2c03 solutions. The violet color of amethyst depended on both iron concentration and amount of irradiation of r-ray. Increasing the iron concentration resulted in the deep violet color. Also amethysts color were changed to dark proportional to amount of irradiation. From visible spectra it was found that increasing the amount of irradiation affected not the character of individual iron center but the total number of iron centers.

The aim of this study is the process of developing the information system of individual announced land price that can efficiently manage the land price work, improve public reliability in services and establish systematization of the national land information. The system is adapted to the test area, as a result, it is concluded that can improve the efficiency of management and the accuracy and objectivity of land price. Thus users can easily use it without professional knowledge since it offer convenient user' environment. Furthermore, it can rapidly search character and classification of land, use-zoning, the present condition of land price and so on. And it can find out change of land price and user according to search of history.

Intuition is an abstract concept which is most often thought of as a nonrational, nonscientific mode of thought. However, since there are so many amorphous definitions of intuition that it seems important to clarify the meaning of this concept. Therefore, this study use the process of Walker & Avant’s concept analysis to define of the concept of intuition Attributes of intuition were defined as 1) Knowledge of truth that is difficult to explicate ; 2) A type of immediate knowing ; 3) Knowlwdge without reasining analysis ; 4) Knowledge that is attained based on virtue character which integrates all matter and is not attained through individual experience. Antecedents of intuition consists of 1) as ground for knowledge or truth that is not availables to trace through the analytic procedures ; & 2) the flow of Ki which unites human beings and the universe. Consequences of intuition events or incidents occuring as a result of the concept consist of verification of the truth though analytic procedures and application of knowledge in both theoretical and practical ways. To develop intuitive ability, as an educator should not only make studies in recognizine, analysing and teaching concepts related to logical, rational decision making but should also recognize and teach concepts related to intuitive components of making decisions in clinical practice and classroom learning as well.

This study was done to examine stressors that middle-aged men experience and how they deal with them. The subjects of this study are married men at the age of thirty five to fifty, the average age is 41.43(SD=5.46),27,580,070 income,1.14 (58= 1.21) children. and married to 13.87 years. The average of every stressor of middle-aged men turned out to be similar, but they are aware of their physical stress at most, stress from family and mentality ranks at second, and stress at job is the lowest. The coping behavior towards stress shows direct-active behavior at most, direct-inactive behavior and indirect-active behavior are in the close level, and indirect-inactive behavior takes the lowest portion. From the analysis, there were differences in stressors and dealing behaviors according to individual character and the family, they use different coping ways depending on stressors. Men became to be highly conscious of the crisis of the middle-aged life in rapidly changing society and family. Therefore, we need to figure out stressors they go through and develop the strategies to cope with stress so that they could support middle-aged men's quality of life.
