We investigated the role of product-influencer congruence between social distance, perceived authenticity and attitude toward ads. In particular, we focused on the mediating effect of perceived authenticity on the relationship between social distance and attitude toward ads. Also, we interested in the conditional indirect effect of product-influencer congruence on the mediation process. For our purposes, data were collected from a convenience sample of 340 undergraduate students at a large university in South Korea. Our results indicated that social distance is directly related to the perceived authenticity and, consequently, affects attitude toward ads. Also, an indirect effect of the perceived authenticity was significant on the low level of product-influencer congruence and not in the high level. Our findings suggest that marketing managers should consider the social media influencer's authenticity and congruence between the product and the influencer.

This study examined whether parenting behaviors as perceived by low-income children have indirect effects on their school adjustment through ego-identity. The subjects were 148 6th grade children selected from three elementary schools in Seoul; family income was less than 2,000,000 won, Statistical techniques were Person's Correlation and Simple and Multiple Regression. Findings were that (1) Perceived parenting behavior was a significant predictor of the school adjustment in low-income children. (2) Perceived parenting behavior was a significant predictor of the ego-identity of low-income children. (3) When the effect of perceived supportive parenting behaviors was controlled, the effect of ego-identity of low-income children was significant. However, when the effect of ego-identity of low-income children was controlled, the effect of perceived supportive parenting behaviors became non-significant.

Siting a nuclear waste facility in a specific area, the public show some different attitudes for newly suggested nuclear facility as a function of distance from the existing facilities, namely 'Doughnut Effect'. This Doughnuts Effect indicates not only indirect public assessment for the existing facilities, but transition of public attitude between socio-economic expectation and risk perception. Ulchin area was selected as a case study model and the possibility to success in siting a nuclear waste facility in that area was shown. Thus, availability of the 'Doughnut effect'as a prestudy for siting radioactive waste disposal facilities was practically suggested.

We have investigated the biological effects of recombinant IL-1$\beta$ (rIL-1$\beta$) on the expression of antiviral genes such as Myxovirus-3 (MX-3) and Interferon regulating factor-1 (IRF-1), which are related to type I interferon. When ten micrograms of rIL-1$\beta$ were treated, we observed the stimulatory effect on the expression of these antiviral genes. Interestingly, at the early stage of stimulation, these genes were down-regulated and then up-regulated by the results obtained that the expressions of these genes were decreased at day 1 post-injection and gradually increased at day 3 post-injection. Thus, the stimulatory effect of rIL-1$\beta$ on the expression of MX-3 and IRF-3 gene might be an indirect stimulatory effect because significant up-regulation was delayed until day 3 post-injection.

To determine the regulatory roles of PDE4 inhibitor on LPS-induced osteoclastogenesis, we investigated the effect of a PDE4 inhibitor on osteoclast formation in the presence of LPS. A specific PDE4 inhibitor, rolipram, increased LPS-induced osteoclast formation in cocultures. To verify that whether rolipram acts indirectly on osteoblasts, we investigated the TRANCE and COX-2 mRNA expression levels in osteoblasts. Treatment of rolipram increased the expression of TRANCE and COX-2 mRNA in osteoblasts stimulated by LPS. On the contrary, rolipram did not augment the number of osteoclasts differentiated from bone marrow cells by LPS. In conclusion, the stimulation of LPS-induced osteoclast formation by the PDE4 inhibitor are attributable to its indirect effect on osteoblasts, not to their direct effect on bone marrow-derived osteoclast precursors.

This study was examined empirically the relationship between exogenous and endogenous variables to use internet shopping malls. Exogenous variables in our model are retrieval simpleness, quality of order treatment, web reputation, update and system quality and endogenous variables are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and intention of using internet shopping malls. The results of the path analysis are shown as follows. All exogenous variables have a direct effect on perceived ease of use while both retrieval simpleness and update has a direct effect on perceived usefulness. The perceived ease of use has a direct effect on the intention of using internet shopping malls and has a indirect effect on the intention through perceived usefulness. Especially, web reputation among the exogenous variables has the strongest impact on the perceived ease of use and retrieval has the strongest impact on the perceived usefulness.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationships between adult educators' instructional leadership, learners' motivation and performance among those participants in education for urban-rural migration. The survey was conducted among 22 agricultural educational institutions in South Korea, and a total number of 1,109 learners responded to a questionnaire. In order to verify the hypothesized research model, the collected data were analyzed with structural equation modeling. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, adult educators' instructional leadership had a direct effect and an indirect effect on learners' performance. Second, adult educators' instructional leadership had a direct effect on learners' motivation. Third, learners' motivation had a direct effect on learners' performance.

Purpose: This study was done to identify the relationship of self-directedness, clinical competence and practice satisfaction to clinical practice for nursing students and to investigate the mediating effect of their clinical competence between self-directedness and clinical practice satisfaction. Method: The data were collected form 291 nursing students in clinical practice using self-report questionnaire on April 25 and June 20, 2011. Results: There were statistically positive relationships between self-directedness, clinical competence and practice satisfaction to clinical practice in nursing students. Clinical competence was found to completely mediate the relationship between self-directedness and clinical practice satisfaction. Conclusion: This study shows that self-directedness to clinical practice for nursing students have no direct effect on clinical practice satisfaction. It has an indirect effect by clinical competency.

The old people's feelings, emotions, and self-evaluative judgements fluctuate overtime. The purpose of this paper is to proof relations among well-being factors in social activity. Major results of this paper was as follows. First, the social activity participated elderly had higher health status, self-esteem, mental-health, and successful aging than the non-participated elderly. Second, self-esteem and mental health were exposed as important variable for all of the two groups to improve the successful aging. Thus, self-esteem and mental health can become significant indicator of self-empowering and psychological resilience. Third, the strongest total causal effect of successful aging was health status in social activity participated elderly, while self-esteem was the greatest total causal effect of it in the non-participated elderly. Health status had higher indirect effect of successful aging than direct effect of it in both of them.

Control Moment Gyro (CMG) has been used as an indirect actuator of a single-wheel robot system GYROBO, developed at Chungnam National University. The flip motion of the gimbal system produces the gyroscopic motion onto the body system while the body motion also produces the gyroscopic motion onto the gimbal system inversely. In this paper, the intuitive equation of the inverse gyroscopic effect is derived as the direct relation between the rate of the body system and the rate of the gimbal system. Experiments on the inverse gyroscopic effect under the chaotically generated disturbance are conducted. Experimental data are approximated by a linear equation using the least square method.
