개방형 현미경적 요추간판 제거술 후 동적 요부 안정화 운동에 따른 체간 안정성의 개선과 유지 (The Effect of Dynamic Lumbar Stabilization Exercise to Be Affected with Improvement and Maintenance of Trunk Stability after Opened Microscopic Laser Discectomy)

  • Objects: This study is designed to analysis improvement and maintaince of trunk stability targeting patients who need post operative rehabilitation exercise after undergoing opened microscopic laser discectomy(OMLD) due to HNP. Method: Between March 2004 and February 2005 a total sixty patients who underwent OMLD due to $L_4/L_5$, $L_5/S_1$ HNP and who agreed to the experiment were subject for this study. Experimental group consisted of 18 subjects, and they underwent 45 minutes dynamic lumbar stabilization exercise And control group consisted of 18 subjects who conducted conservative physical therapy based on the use of physical modality for 45 minutes except to exercise. Results: Experimental group that was lumbar extensor's isometric peak torque, weight distribution of both leg, trunk muscle balance and Oswestry LBP disability index increased during 12 weeks in a statistically significant manner compared to before exercise (p<.05). When re-test was tried, isometric peak torque (p>.05) and Oswestry LBP disability index(p<.05) maintained 12th week level or improved. Weight distribution rate of both leg and trunk muscle balance maintained the level of 8th week of exercise execution(p<.05). Control group that was lumbar extensor's isometric peak torque, weight distribution rate of both leg and trunk muscle balance aggravated during 12 weeks compared to pre-test(p>.05) But, Oswestry LBP disability index increased in a statistically significant level compared to pre-test(p<.05). When re-test was tried, isometric peak torque increased slightly compared to pre-test, but decreased when at least $60^{\circ}$ flexion angle(p>.05). Weight distribution rate of both leg and trunk muscle balance also aggravated compared to pre-test(p>.05), and Oswestry LBP disability index was similar to the 4th week of physical therapy execution(p>.05). Conclusion: Successive postoperative Especially, Application of dynamic lumbar stabilization exercise program is important than traditional lumbar strengthening exercise program in the maintaince of spinal stability.

제초제(除草劑) Butachlor 및 Simetryne에 저항성(抵抗性)인 식물체(植物體) 선발육성(選拔育成) (Development of Herbicide Resistant Plant Through Plant Tissue Culture)

  • 잡초발생전(雜草發生前) 처리(處理)하며 단백질대사(蛋白質代謝)률 억제(抑制)하는 작용기작(作用機作)을 가진 butachlor와 잡초발생후(雜草發生後)에 처리(處理)하여 광합성(光合成)을 억제(抑制)하는 simetryne에 내성(耐性)을 지닌 식물체(植物體)를 육성(育成)키 위하여 본(本) 실험(實驗)을 수행(遂行)하여 얻어진 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 카루스의 생사여부(生死與否)는 TTC의 반응(反應)으로 간단히 검정가능(檢定可能)하며 농도(濃度)에 관계(關係)없이 전공시품종(全共試品種)이 생존(生存)하였다. 2. Succinate dehydrogenase inhibition index (S.D.I.)로 본 butachlor에 대한 벼 품종간(品種間) 차(差)는 카루스 증식반응(增殖反應)과 유식물체반응(幼植物體反應)과는 다소(多小) 일치(一致)하는 경향(傾向)을 보였다. 3. Simetryne을 유묘기(幼苗期)의 벼에 처리(處理)하면 품종간(品種間)에 뚜렷한 반응(反應)이 있었고 Japonica 형(型)이 내성(耐性)을 나타내었다. 그러나 카루스증식면(增殖面)에서 본 simetryne의 영향(影響)은 유묘기(幼苗期)와 일치(一致)하지 않으며 억제정도(抑制程度)가 butachlor 보다 낮았다. 4. Butachlor에 내성(耐性)을 보이는 상풍벼는 simetryne에도 내성(耐性)을 다소(多少)나타냈다. 5. Simetryne과 butachlor 처리구(處理區)에서 살아남은 카루스로부터 분화식물체(分化植物體)를 유도(誘導)하였다.

SysML 기반 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 기법을 활용한 무기체계 정비도 지수 산출 (Computation of Maintainability Index Using SysML-Based M&S Technique for Improved Weapon Systems Development)

  • 정비도는 시스템에 고장이 발생하였을 때 얼마나 쉽게 정상 상태로 복구할 수 있는가를 나타내는 것으로서, 좋은 정비도를 갖도록 개발된 시스템은 정비시간, 정비인력 및 소요자원 등의 절감을 통해 무기체계의 운용유지비용 관점에서 경쟁력을 갖게 된다. 시스템설계 후반기에서의 정비도 반영을 위한 설계변경은 비용 초과와 일정 지연을 초래할 수 있어서 설계 초기단계부터 정비도를 고려할 필요가 있다. 정비도는 평균수리시간, 평균실정비시간 등으로 정량화할 수 있으나, 이는 시제품 제작 이후 또는 이력데이터가 있는 경우에만 추정가능하고 시스템 구성품의 물리적 특성을 나타내지 못하는 제약이 있다. 이점을 해결하기 위해 기존 논문에서는 그래프 이론을 활용하였으나, 일련의 과정이 개별적으로 독립된 환경에서 수행되어 전체과정에 대한 관리의 효율성이 부족하다. 또한 3D 모델 데이터를 활용하여 설계단계에서 정비도 평가방법을 제시하였으나, 새로운 시스템 설계시 또는 설계초기에 적용할 때 제약이 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 SysML 기반 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 기법을 활용하여 무기체계의 정비도 지수를 산출하는 방법을 연구하였다. 특히, 시스템 설계 및 정비도 추정을 동시에 고려하기 위해서, 시스템공학 도구 상의 정비속성 및 속성간 관계 값을 SysML 구조 다이어그램에 반영하여 구성품의 정비도를 모델링하였다. 그리고 나서 SysML Parametric 다이어그램을 생성하고 MATLAB과 연계한 시뮬레이션을 통해 정량적인 정비도 지수를 산출하였다. 본 연구결과를 활용하면, 설계초기부터 시스템 모델과 정비도 모델의 통합으로 효율적 관리가 가능하고, 정비도 지수가 낮은 구성품을 조기에 식별하여 설계 후반기에서의 설계변경에 따른 비용 및 일정에 대한 위험을 감소시킬 수 있다.

수생태 환경유지를 위한 하천생태유량 산정 (Assessment of Ecological Streamflow for Maintaining Good Ecological Water Environment)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between stream water quality of TN (total nitrogen), TP (total phosphorus), and BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and TDI (Trophic Diatom Index) score determined by physico-chemical factors, biomass, and standing crops of epilithic diatoms, and to estimate the required amount of ecological streamflow for good water environment of Trophic Diatom. For the main stream of Chungju dam watershed of South Korea, total 100 field data of 3 years (2008~2010) measured in May and September were used to derive the relationship between water quality and TDI. Trophic Diatom had high correlation (0.55 determination coefficient) with TN. Using the relationship, the required streamflow was evaluated by using the Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) for good Trophic Diatom water environment through T-N water quality maintenance. The SWAT simulated 8 years (2003~2010) stream discharges and T-N water quality along the main stream. From present garde C (score range: 30.0~45.0) to grade A (score above 60.0) of TDI, the May needs additional streamflow of $63.1m^3/sec$ (+36.7 % comparing with the present streamflow of $172.0m^3/sec$) at the watershed outlet.

Assessment of Work Ability of Korean Workers in the Shipbuilding Industry using FIOH Questionnaire

  • Objective: The goal of this study was to assess work ability of Korean workers in the shipbuilding industry. Background: Old age is associated with inevitable time-dependent losses in physical capabilities. However the maintenance of physical capabilities is essential for continuing independence in old age. The work ability index(WAI) was constructed to reveal how well a worker is able to perform his or her work. Method: The WAI is a kind of survey methods developed to estimate the work capacity of aged workers by the Finish Institute of Occupational Health(FIOH) in 1998. The difference of the WAI between groups in each category was tested using the Kruskal-Wallis test, and the relationship between the WAI and the workers' ages was tested by the Correlation test. Results: This study surveyed 2,709 persons working in the shipbuilding industry in Korea. The average WAI score for all workers was 40.0 denoting a Good Level. Also, workers in the shipbuilding industry had lower work ability, as compared to the results of other industries. The WAI was analyzed for different age groups(${\leq}29$; 30~34; 35~39; 40~44; 45~49; 50~54; ${\geq}55$). The results of Kruskal-Wallis test showed that significant difference was identified on the effect of aging(p<0.05). Conclusion: Advanced countries like the Finland showed decreasing tendency in good and excellent levels as aged, but there was no decreasing tendency in Korean population. The results may be attributable to the general characteristics of Korean society, such as poor social security and burden caused by role of the patriarch. It may bring forth higher work ability in aged population even their physical condition is getting worse. Application: This finding could be used for developing more accurate assessment tool of work ability for working environment.

포항지진 발생 주변지역 지질특성에 따른 저수지 취약성 해석 (Analysis of Reservoir Vulnerability Based on Geological Structure Around Pohang Earthquake)

  • A total of 594 reservoirs (17%), which are managed by KRC, equipped with earthquake-resistant facilities whereas remaining ones did not. In addition, reservoirs were placed without the effect of geological structures (i.e., fault and lineament). Therefore, development on technique for alleviating the potential hazards by natural disasters along faults and lineaments has required. In addition, an effective reinforcement guideline related to the geological vulnerabilities around reservoirs has required. The final goal of this study is to suggest the effective maintenance for the safety of earth fill dams. A radius 2 km, based on the center of the reservoir in the study area was set as the range of vulnerability impacts of each reservoir. Seismic design, precise safety diagnosis, seismic influence and geological structure were analyzed for the influence range of each reservoir. To classify the vulnerability of geological disasters according to the fault distribution around the reservoir, evaluation index of seismic performance, precise safety diagnosis, seismic influence and geological structure were also developed for each reservoir, which were a component of the vulnerability assessment of geological disasters. As a result, the reservoir with the highest vulnerability to geological disasters in the pilot district was analyzed as Kidong reservoir with an evaluation index of 0.364. Within the radius of 100km from the epicenter of the Pohang earthquake, the number of agricultural infrastructure facilities subject to urgent inspections were 1,180 including reservoirs, pumping stations and intakes. Four reservoirs were directly damaged by earthquake among 724 agricultural reservoirs. As a result of the precise inspection and electrical resistivity survey of the reservoir after the earthquake, it was reported that cracks on the crest of reservoirs were not a cause of concern. However, we are constantly monitoring the safety of agricultural facilities by Pohang aftershocks.

도시지역에 대한 환경용수의 계절전망 기법 개발 및 평가 (Development and Assessment of Environmental Water Seasonal Outlook Method for the Urban Area)

  • There are 34 mega-cities with a population of more than 10 million in the world. One of the highly populated cities in the world is Seoul in South Korea. Seoul receives $1,140million\;m^3/year$ for domestic water, $2million\;m^3/year$ for agricultural water and $6million\;m^3/year$ for industrial water from multi-purpose dams. The maintenance water used for water conservation, ecosystem protection and landscape preservation is $158million\;m^3/year$, which is supplied from natural precipitation. Recently, the use of the other water for preservation of water quality and ecosystem protection in urban areas is increasing. The objectives of this study is to develop the seasonal forecast method of environmental water in urban areas (Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, Busan) and to evaluate its predictability. In order to estimate the seasonal outlook information of environmental water from Land Surface Model (LSM), we used the observation weather data of Automated Synoptic Observing System (ASOS) sites, forecast and hind cast data of GloSea5. In the past 30 years (1985 ~ 2014), precipitation, natural runoff and Urban Environmental Water Index (UEI) were analyzed in the 4 urban areas. We calculated the seasonal outlook values of the UEI based on GloSea5 for 2015 year and compared it to UEI based on observed data. The seasonal outlook of UEI in urban areas presented high predictability in the spring, autumn and winter. Studies have depicted that the proposed UEI will be useful for evaluating urban environmental water and the predictability of UEI using GloSea5 forecast data is likely to be high in the order of autumn, winter, spring and summer.

안양천 하수처리 재이용에 따른 계절별 수질오염 분석 (Analysis of Seasonal Water Pollution According to the Reuse and Treatment of Wastewater from Anyang Stream)

  • Anyang Stream Restoration Movement was started from 2001 for the construction of ecological city. The facilities for reuse of treated sewerage have been used since 2003 for improvement of water quality, maintenance of water quantity, river ecological restoration, and hydrophilic space. Thus, the Anyang city has been gradually transformed to eco-friendly city after the construction of Anyang stream and Hakui stream as natural rivers. In this study, biological and chemical methods as well as ecological indicators for Anyang mainstream and major tributaries were monitored for four years in between 2008 and 2012. The water quality and the diversity of species in most of the streams were found to be good except Anyang main stream. It appears that the influence of seasonal drying stream is almost disappeared except Sammak stream. Thus, the values for BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and BIP (Biological Index of Pollution) for Anyang main stream were found to be 5.27~3.42mg/l and 4.51~5.50, respectively. This is considered to be caused by the reused water quality of treated wastewater being exceeded the design criteria or by the non-point source of contaminants around the stream. However, entire section of tributaries shows I, II grade as a good water quality.

하이브리드 애드 혹 네트워크에서의 에너지 효율성을 고려한 라우팅 알고리즘 (Energy-Efficient Routing Protocol for Hybrid Ad Hoc Networks)

  • 최근 언제 어디서나 고품질의 인터넷 서비스 이용에 대한 필요성이 증가함에 따라, 인터넷 또는 셀룰러 망과 같은 기반 망과 연동된 하이브리드 애드 혹 네트워크에 대한 연구가 중요해지고 있다. 이러한 통합 네트워크는 홈 네트워크, 텔레매틱스, 센서 네트워크 분야 등에서 사용자 요구에 부합하는 다양한 종류의 서비스 제공이 가능해진다. 그러나 무선 이동 네트워크에서 불안정한 링크에 의한 전송 거리와 전송 대역폭 및 이동 노드의 배터리 제약은 대용량의 실시간 데이터 처리를 요구하는 서비스의 원활한 제공을 어렵게 만든다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기반 망에서 제공하는 인프라를 활용하여 에너지 효율성을 고려한 클러스터 기반의 계층적 라우팅 기법을 제안한다. 인덱스 기반의 브로드캐스팅 기법을 적용한 경로 전달 모델을 통해 노드가 필요한 정보만을 선택적으로 청취함으로써 불필요한 에너지 손실을 줄인다. 또한, 경로 탐색 및 유지비용과 경로 설정에 필요한 지연시간을 줄였다.

취약계층 아동의 구강건강증진 실천프로그램 적용 및 평가 (Oral Health Promotion Program Application and Effect for Underprivileged Lower Grade Students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to apply an effective oral health promotion program and effect for underprivileged lower grade students. This study attempted to resolve some oral health inequality issues by providing underprivileged children with an oral health action program designed to promote positive oral health maintenance habits. Methods: This study was carried from May to August of 2009 with 77(control group 27 subjects, experimental group 36 subjects) elementary school students selected among first to third graders attending regional welfare center's after school program in Seoul. To the control group, conventional education methods were applied. To the experimental group, newly designed program was conducted by three project experts(1 expert, 1 dentist, 1 dental hygienist). It consisted of 5 sessions and progressed with various activities. It was focused on achieving target knowledge and changing oral health behavior. In order to evaluate the designed educational program, learners' achievement was evaluated with implementing the questionnaire and one-on-one interviews. And also the oral health improvement was evaluated based on change of Patient Hygiene Performance(PHP) index. Results: Based on the results of learners' achievement, the experimental group showed the significant increment of the oral health knowledge by the relapsed time, and it maintained after finished the program(p<0.001). The patient hygiene performance index showed not significant changed(p>0.05), but 1 month later the control group showed an increment of the PHP score, but the experimental group showed a decrement of it. Conclusions: Oral health promotion program by project approach could give a long-lasting educational effect to the children and encouraged proper oral hygiene behavioral changes.
